Formally known as Mica Penniman, the singer and composer sounds like a cross between Freddie Mercury and George Michael. With an incredible range, reaching up into Alvin and the Chipmunks territory (seriously), Mika sensationalizes this jubilant album, making it strangely addictive. read the full review

Accelerate is full of these types of songs, offering the perfect balance between candy pop goofiness and garage rock casualness read the full review

Or, more fittingly, the girl who wants us to think she's bad. Ever since her 2003 debut single, "Complicated," she has captivated and spiraled us into manic confusion: Britney' Christina' Nope, it's a new breed of feisty bubble gum punk dominated by a little Canadian girl wearing a necktie over her wife beater. read the full review

Costello Music | | Artist: Fratellis Release Date: 3/13/2007 Format: CD | User Rating: 5 | | The Fratellis - Costello Music - CD By: Cameron Graham - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 4/17/2007 8:27 AM | | The Fratellis have crafted a widely entertaining album with their debut CD Costello Music. There have been quite a few retro-inspired British indie rock bands jostling for attention lately (The Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party to name just a few). You might even be thinking that you're just about done with all of them and it's time to move on. Well, The Fratellis are here with their debut CD Costello Music to prove you wrong. read the full review

Live At Massey Hall | | Artist: Neil Young Release Date: 3/13/2007 Format: CD | | Neil Young - Live at Massey Hall - CD By: Mark Saleski - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 3/22/2007 11:40 AM | | There's just something about Neil Young. His present day persona along with his musical past form a sort of rolling time capsule in my head. Very strange, much like the man himself. This particular album, recorded 1971 at Toronto's Massey Hall, showcases Young and his songwriting at an early career peak. Played on acoustic guitar and sometimes piano, Young definitely had that audience in full control. Many of the songs, new at the time, went on to become part of his classic Harvest LP. read the full review
