Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0 | | | Starring: Katee Sackhoff Edward James Olmos | | Format: DVD Release Date: 1/6/2009 | User Rating: 4.5 | | Video Reviews Available: 1 | | Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.0 - DVD Review By: Rafe Telsch - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 1/5/2009 8:42 PM | | Battlestar Galactica is a series that isn't afraid to change. While I'm not about to go into spoiler territory and openly admit how this half of the season ends, it's sufficient enough to say that it's a paradigm shift that overshadows the revelation of the hidden Cylons, the brewing civil war, and all other dynamic changes the series has undergone. read the full review

| | 19. True Blood-Complete 1st Season | | | Starring: Stephen Moyer Anna Paquin | | Format: DVD Release Date: 5/19/2009 | | True Blood: Season One - DVD Review By: Don Willmott - filmcritic.com DVD Reviews Published on: 5/8/2009 5:39 PM | |
Richly populated with a wide variety of unique characters, not to mention a serial killer and lots of sexy vampires, Bon Temps, Louisiana is a decidedly interesting place in which to spend some time. Alan Ball's True Blood may not quite measure up to the triumph of his Six Feet Under, but it's as good a series as any HBO has put on the air since The Sopranos ended, and it's well worth a renewal or two. Based on a series of novels by Charlaine Harris, True Blood drops us into the weird world of Sookie Stackhouse (the energetic Anna Paquin), a young waitress who has ability to hear people's thoughts, a talent that annoys the hell out of her. read the full review

| | 28. Parker Lewis Cant Lose-Season One new! | | | | Format: DVD Release Date: 6/30/2009 | | Parker Lewis Can't Lose - The Complete First Season - DVD Review By: Blake Matthews - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 6/29/2009 12:52 PM | | Parker Lewis Can’t Lose was a series that aired from 1990 through 1993 on the FOX network. The series followed Parker Lewis (Corin Nemic) and his “buds,” fellow classmate Mikey Randall (Billy Jayne) and freshman Jerry Steiner (Troy W. Slaten) whose various plots and money-making opportunities have made them the guys to know throughout the school. The buds' nemeses are school principal Grace Musso (Melanie Chartoff) and her student underlings, Frank Lemmer (Taj Johnson) and Parker’s little sister Shelly (Maia Brewton), who are trying to get Parker in detention or expelled. Throw in 6'7" giant Larry Kubiac (Abraham Benrubi) who would as soon as kill you for touching his lunch as helping the buds out for a Kubie-snack and has the catchphrase “Eat now?” and it’s no wonder this show achieved cult status very quickly. read the full review | |

| | 31. Dukes of Hazzard-Complete 7th Season | | | Starring: Catherine Bach Tom Wopat | | Format: DVD Release Date: 12/5/2006 | | The Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Seventh Season - DVD By: Chris Beaumont - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 1/11/2007 12:27 PM | | Here it is, the one all you Dukes fans have been waiting for -- the final season is here. Actually, I am surprised that it lasted seven years. I mean, I loved the show as a kid and in syndication, but it is kind of silly, and suffers from cookie cutter-style plotting. Still, Warner Bros. has done a nice job of delivering the final 17 episodes on six disks. The set is a little slim on the extras, but the episodes are rendered nicely. The season starts with one of the best episodes of the run, "Happy Birthday, General Lee." This episode flashes back eight years and recounts just how the 1969 Dodge Charger came to be in the possession of Dukes. read the full review | |

| | 44. Burn Notice-Season 2 new! | | | Starring: Bruce Campbell Gabrielle Anwar | | Format: DVD Release Date: 6/16/2009 | | Burn Notice, Season Two - DVD Review By: Fitz - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 6/22/2009 9:04 AM | | Imagine if you will a television series with the dry wit of House, the improvised gadgetry of MacGyver, and the spy games of the Bourne Identity. Then you might have an idea of what Burn Notice is like before you watch it. I have to admit when season one started airing on the USA Network, I avoided it, thinking it would be formulaic and boring. But I caught myself watching when season two began airing last summer. And then it was too late for me. I'd been ensnared by the witty dialog, clever contraptions, and a great pairing of writers and actors. At that point I went to Hulu and began watching all the episodes I'd missed from season one. And then I made sure I caught all of season two when it aired. I was hooked. read the full review | |
