When exactly we became obsessed with diarrhea and premature ejaculation can never really be pinpointed, but Peter and Bobby Farrelly are prime suspects. He was more than happy to shovel the laughs that come from every humiliation, every bodily function and every unnatural act in the book, and why the hell not? We loved it in the '90s and we love it even more today. More than ever, we have Dumb and Dumber to blame for being a spark that ignited a flaming fart of laughter.

Back in 1990, Home Alone was a movie sensation. Believe it or not, it earned more than $285 million during its theatrical release, more than Monsters, Inc., Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Incredibles. While those films will surely endure, Home Alone has since turned into the butt of numerous jokes. Indeed, Home Alone is now the fallback film for anyone looking to pinpoint the decline of cinema as art. read the full review

Will Ferrell hasn't run out of sports to exploit in the name of comedy, but if Semi-Pro is any indication, he has run out of original ideas. The funnyman's stable of petulant and grossly overconfident buffoons grows with the addition of Jackie Moon, owner, coach, and starting power forward for the Flint Tropics, a fictional ABA basketball squad hoping to survive the 1976 merger with the NBA. Too bad Moon's team is terrible. Star player Clarence "Coffee" Black (Andre Benjamin) doesn’t understand the concept of teamwork. And Moon would rather plan a memorable halftime show than hit a game-winning shot. read the full review

Surprisingly, such is not the case, and the concept of two men pairing up to skate has quite a different intention than, let's say, Kevin James and Adam Sandler's fake marriage in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. read the full review

Barga - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 12/9/2008 6:56 PM | | Tommy Boy, one of the funniest movies of the '90s, has come out in a brand new format. Thirteen years after its initial release, the movie is finally available in Blu-ray High Definition and comes packed with extra features to make it worthwhile. The film, which only got a 46% rating at Rotten Tomatoes, has amassed a cult following giving it an 83% from the community. The combination of three talented comedic actors (David Spade, Chris Farley, and Dan Aykroyd) makes this an absolutely hilarious movie. The audience also fell in love with the character of the self-depreciating fat man. The Tommy Boy Blu-ray releases on December 16, just in time for Christmas shopping. read the full review

It's no stretch to call Adam McKay's Step Brothers the year's stupidest film. Part of me feels bad labeling it as such, but then I remember that no movie boasting scenes of a grown man licking dog feces really wants to be taken seriously on any level. And yet, I'd be lying if I told you Brothers didn't make me laugh. read the full review

Wilk - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 10/1/2008 8:25 PM | | I also have no real problems with David Schwimmer's direction in his directorial debut. I do, however, have a problem with the title of the movie. Why' Well, Pegg isn't exactly fat. He's barely even overweight. If anything, the Brit has a slight beer belly, most likely due to his various pub visits in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Calling Pegg fat is like calling Ben Affleck of good actor or a box office success. read the full review
