This hugely funny action-comedy hit stars big-screen favorites Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys) and Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption). Advertising executive Nick Bean (Robbins) has completely bottomed out. His career is a mess, his marriage is on the rocks...and a fast-talking, would-be carjacker (Lawrence) has just jumped into his car! So what does he do? Nick throws common sense out the window and turns the tables on his captor! Soon this mismatched pair speeds off on a comical crime spree that includes holdups, high-speed chases, and revenge! Set to a hot hit soundtrack, Nothing To Lose is another wild comedy success from the creator of Ace Ventura and The Nutty Professor!

"The funniest comedy of the year!"  NY 1 News
"Wildly, wonderfully, outrageously funny! Don't miss it! "  WBAI Radio, New York
"Terrific teamwork!"  Rolling Stone

Editor's Note

After being unceremoniously cuckolded, yuppified corporate flunky Nick fires up his SUV and sallies forth on a reckless ride to nowhere. En route, an equally desperate, chronically unemployed urbanite, T. Paul, ill-advisedly attempts to carjack Nick, only to be pulled inside and brought along on a wild journey that leads from the L.A. slums to the Arizona badlands.

Los Angeles Times
"...It's a clever pairing....Lawrence demonstrates once again why he's the livest wire on screen....He has the gift of making every word he says sound funny..." 07/18/1997 p.F1

Boxoffice Magazine 7 of 10
...Like a modern-day Abbott and Costello, Robbins' droll understatement and Lawrence's manic outbursts transform even the most bizarre, seemingly unsurmountable predicaments into some memorable hilarity. - Wade Major

Washington Post 8 of 10
...[The film] shouldn't work, it couldn't work, it won't work, but, dammit, it does. I hated myself for laughing, but laugh I did, even when stifling myself so that only giggly squeaks popped from my nostrils. The movie even manages to play that familiar G-flat chord from the civics lessons: brotherly love and how close we all are under the skin. That's because Robbins and Lawrence have "it," whatever "it" is: chemistry, electricity, timing, mutual respect, complementary prescriptions, whatever. - Stephen Hunter

USA Today 7 of 10
...A mopey scarecrow like Robbins and a tightly wound coil of troubled humanity like Lawrence would seem to go together about as well as broccoli and ice cream. Guess what? The guys find an abrasive rhythm in their opposing natures and spark a few comic bonfires, raising the ragged though funny-when-it-counts material a notch or two. - Susan Wloszczyna
