 Editor's Note
When a young urbanite calls to order cable TV for his apartment he gets much more than he bargained for, as the demented title character arrives and proceeds to insinuate his way into the beleaguered customer's life. Raised by television as a child and starved for human contact, the "cable guy" is a darkly hilarious carnation of the modern age. Carey's manic karaoke rendition of Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody to Love" is a twisted highlight.

I don't feel like this film got the publicity it deserved. I know it was dark and not all happy like, 'The Mask' or 'Dumb and Dumber,' but it wasn't meant to be a kid's film, thus the 'R' rating. The film even had a message, 'don't let your tv, raise your child.' The film was dark in parts, but also hysterical in others. I fell off the couch a few times, the first time I saw it. Everyone who has seen it, will remember the
'basketball' scene. If you haven't seen it, see it for that, if not the rest of the film, you
won't be dissapointed. Was this review helpful?
