I am very happy with Platronics Pro. Everyone that talks to me says they can't tell if I am using the Bluetooth or just using the phone normally. It's connection range is bigger than 30 feet from phone. Battery lasts 2-3 days on standby and moderate talk time. 1 day with very heavy talk time. I feel I got what I paid for and a little more. Bulk packaging is no frills of a box. I got everything needed to get operational.

The refurbished model is amazing value. It came in bubble wrap, no clunky packaging, just an instruction manual and charger; but no small/large earbuds (the medium bud fits my ear just fine, as I expect it will most people).
I listened to a voicemail I'd left while a horse was walking directly in front of me, and about 1 second after I'd started speaking, the CLIP CLOP almost completely cut out. Impressive. The background traffic was inaudible too.
When speaking with nothing in the background, a friend confirmed I sounded perfect and not like I was on a cellphone.
Now, you can't quite speak softly with gale force winds blowing around you, but if it's really windy and you speak up, you can be heard, although the other party will know you're outdoors in a noisy environment. So it's not magic, but it's really good.
I would suggest spending a few minutes practicing putting it on with one hand. It's fiddly, like many wireless headsets, but once you get the hang of it (including noticing when the boom has been accidentally rotated to fit the opposite ear, which can happen easily) it becomes effortless, so you're not struggling to put it on while answering a call!
The manual states that if the cellphone goes out of range, one tap on the power button will re-connect, but that didn't work with my Nokia 6300, and I have to power the headset off and on again.
It's nice that tapping the power button shows how much battery life remains, depending on whether you see 1, 2, or 3 flashes.
I used to have a first-generation Jabra headset, with frequent poor sound quality: this is a world of difference!

I have used most of the bluetooth earpieces over the years and find most to be significantly less effective than the old corded models. This is an exception. The noise cancellation feature is superb, battery life exceptional and comfort is better than average. Closest competitor is the new Jawbone and I find this one to be superior in nearly every way.
If you need a bluetooth earpieces, this is the one to own.
