5 of 5 great value! Thursday, September 17, 2009 kiba from Santa Clara, CA
I recently upgraded my laptop's HDD and wanted to make use of my old 160gb 7200rpm HDD so I bought this to convert it into a permanent external that sits behind my monitor. At first, I was a little disappointed that it came with a Y-pronged USB cord, suggesting that all three ends needed to be plugged in (one end in the external HDD and the other two ends into the computer). Luckily, I found out when I finished putting the thing together that this was not the case. I plugged it into only one USB port on my computer and it worked perfectly fine! If it doesn't for you, you may need to plug in the second one to draw more power.
In the end, this is good if you don't care about looks and are looking for a bargain. Was this review helpful?

Can't be beat for the money. I used this to convert an old PS3 Hard Drive into a portable USB Drive. I was looking for a unit that didn't need a power supply and this was the perfect choice. So far no problems it has worked flawlessly for me. Shipping from this seller was also fast. I got this unit in 2 days! Was this review helpful?
