Full HD 1920x1080 Recording
All of the image information you are capable of seeing on an HDTV display will be recorded at the camcorder. Without losing any visual information to start with, this native 1920x1080 resolution is maintained from recording to playback.
Digital Still Images
Every Everio can conveniently record digital still images. Just switch to the image mode and then press the snapshot button. Record your snapshot to either the HDD or a micro SD card. It's your choice. The snapshot will record up to 1920 x 1080.

Auto Power ON/OFF & Auto Lens Cover
With Everio, you don't have to use the power switch each time you operate because the power is linked to the LCD's opening and closing. Just open the LCD; the power turns on and the lens cover automatically opens. Just close the LCD to power off and close the lens cover too.
Quick Restart
In combination with Auto Power ON, you're ready to shoot in about 1 second when the LCD is re-opened. Never miss a crucial moment.
Convenient 2-Way Strap
You can use it as either a grip belt or a wrist strap, whichever suits the occasion. When not in use, it fits snugly against the body to minimize storage space.
New Laser Touch Operation
An evolved version of our previous Laser Touch Operation, this system now allows Zooming and Recording using either the Laser Touch or standard zoom lever and REC button. Of course, browsing through indexes and menu selections is easy as ever.
Digest Playback
This function automatically selects highlight scenes from among the recorded content using our proprietary algorithm and plays back what looks like a "coming attractions" trailer for a movie. 60 minutes of footage is condensed into 5 minutes of highlight scene.
1920x1080/60P Output (HD Upconvert)
Using the same technology as GENESSA HD displays, this function outputs a 1080 scanning line image at progressive 60fps so you can enjoy uncompromising picture quality on a TV that accepts 1080P input.
