5 of 5 Better than Apple's lanyard set Saturday, April 11, 2009

I formerly used Apple's lanyard earphones, but hated the white cloth covering on the lanyard. It got hopelessly stained and dirty, and was impossible to clean.
The lanyard on this set is made of some kind of black plastic which is easy to wipe off and looks as good as new after months of wear.
The sound is more than adequate, and the set is comfortable to wear. The only major annoyance is that the connector that plugs into the Nano covers the locking switch. If you lock the Nano before attaching the headphones, you can't use the control wheel without first unplugging the iPod. If you leave the iPod unlocked, you run the risk of accidently touching the control wheel and making unwanted changes to the volume, stopping or starting the sound etc. If it weren't for this flaw, I would have given the set five stars across the board. After viewing the reviews I decided to order these earbuds. The bass quality delivered was not too great as claimed by some people and the manufacturer. The Philips SHE9501 that I own are a much better option and have very low price too! The Philips ear buds deliver rocking bass! These earphones come no where closer to Philips! The fitting was not too great. I found them awkward to fit into my ears. Overall looks great only in photos, but not in real. Was this review helpful?

This is a very unique designed earbud for my 3G iPod. The sound is not bad at all and much better than some of my other collections of earbuds. I love my JVC Marshmallow earbuds because the sound is really great but these new sets I just got is just as good (very good bass) and you really can't beat the price from Buy.com...also with other earbuds or headsets, I have to make sure I have pockets but this design allows me to just put it around my neck. Highly recommend for the price, great sound and good bass. Was this review helpful?
