5 of 5 Made me want to buy real drums Friday, March 06, 2009
Anthony from Britton, MI
Odd having to rate this as a game hehe. I am going to rate this based off of what I feel to be true now after I have played with these for a good month now. The drums have become a part of my everyday life now, I have to play them with the cymbals. They add so much more movement and interaction within the game and really made drums a blast to play now. They are a tad loud of course though they are comprable to the RB2 stock pads which I have covered now so I only hear the cymbals. One complaint I do have is the sensitivity on my yellow (hi-hat) cymbal is a bit low though I have compensated and it helps when I use the sticks properly also. To tell you the truth I have gone from a Hard drummer with some difficulties on simple patterns with my hands getting crossed up to a Expert drummer with only minor troubles getting stuck under the cymbals. The cymbals are 100% optional meaning you can hit either them or the pads at anytime, though during fills and freestyle mode the pads become the four toms and the cymbals are the hi-hat, ride and crash which make fills a blast to mess around with. As I began playing with them I learned quickly which hits were actually cymbal hits and which were toms it really is as simple as listening. When you get it all right you will have a lot more fun. I am not a drummer one bit I only recently jumped up to Expert on Drums after 2 years now but the cymbals really opened up my eyes and now I am looking into buying a e-kit and a acoustic kit eventually. If you are going to pick up the cymbals GET THE TRIPLE SET thats all I have to say. The setup is a bit odd to say the least, I had a clamp snap together than I couldn't get it apart so I had to pull the drums apart but besides that it takes around a hour to get it all setup. Overall the look and feel of the cymbals just add so much more to the drums and the gameplay, I only wish they sold cymbal silencers really soon :) SORRY WALL OF TEXT.
