Time Magazine / Josh Quittner / July 31, 2008 One of the ”TOP 25 MUST HAVE TRAVEL GADGETS.” “You can hear the difference up in the higher frequencies of your music. These phones are very comfortable, especially for people with big heads.”
Barron’s/ Jay Palmer/ August 4, 2008 “…Able Planet’s Sound Clarity unit is a big leap forward in quality. And it won’t break the bank. The lightweight earphones are comfortable, and the stereo sound is good – in fact a lot better than good, providing both clear speech and full rich background sound.”
LAPTOP Magazine / Russ Fischer / July 2007 “We put the Clear Harmony headphones up against the Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones for side-by-side tests, all of which the former handily won.”

4.7 of 5 Very nice for listening and on flights 3/16/2010
Carl from Atwater, CA
These are comfortable and sound great. I use them when I exercise everyday and they really do block the noice out. If you want to be alone on a plane these are great also. What a great deal.

4.7 of 5 nice headphones 3/11/2010
from Ann Arbor, MI
Probably not as great as Bose series, but worth the lower cost.
The headset container is bulky - and takes up a lot of space.

4.7 of 5 Great Headphones 2/12/2010
Carl from Atwater, CA
What a treat listening to these. I have been using good in ear headphones for years but wanted somthing better to wear on planes and while exercising. These are going to work just perfectly. Much more seperation and bass than I am used to.

4.3 of 5 Very Good Noise Reduction, but... 9/22/2009
from Kansas City, MO
Very Good Noise Reduction, but...I really wish the earcups would have been 'full cover'. I have fairly small ears and they press on much of the surface.

5 of 5 A great set of cans at a wonderful price 9/20/2009
CG from Cool, CA
I am the happy owner of a pair of Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones which I have used on airlines and other travel experiences for years. I liked the around-the-ear noise cancelling because it totally isolates me from cabin/engine noise. I also paid $400 on sale for them three years ago.
I wanted something lighter and less expensive for my desktop computer. I had heard great reviews about Able Planet cans for years but had never tried a set. When Buy.com put the Able Planet NC600 Clear Harmony Noise Canceling Headphones with SRS on sale for $49.99, I doubled checked the web to be sure they were the same NC600s that were discounted at over $100 everywhere else (Amazon.com was/is $99). It seemed like a deal.
I didn’t think I wanted another set of active noise cancelling because my Bose QC2s only played in that active mode. I was very pleased to see that the NC600s play like direct phones even when the active noise cancelling is switched off. The overall sound is great in either mode. They have solid highs and not excessive lows. The sound improves noticeably when SRS is switched on – better fidelity, not just because of the absence of outside noise.
The NC600s are well built; they are lightweight but not cheap feeling at all. They are very comfortable to wear even for hours of sound editing at the desktop. The separate on-off and volume controls on the left headphone are accessible and easy to use (I wish my Bose QC2s had that feature).
I was disappointed that a listening comparison of the two sets did not reveal any significant difference – I wanted the $350 difference in price to show up somehow. The travel case is almost identical for both, though the Bose QC2s did come with a set of adapter plugs. (Certainly not worth $350 in difference)
I probably will continue to use my Bose QC2s on airline trips but I could not be happier with my Able Planet NC600 Headphones and, at $49.99, Buy.com has made them a can’t-miss deal. Buy a set.

5 of 5 Elimination of the din 9/16/2009
Rick from Pittsburgh PA
I work in a relatively noisy office environment and brought these to work yesterday. When the locals start yelling acrossed the pods I just switch on the noise cancellation and it allows me to concentrate better.
In low volume with noise cancellation on, I am hearing a subtle hiss but it is tolerable.
The case is great for travel. I can't wait to try them on the plane.

4.7 of 5 Excellent headphones! 9/5/2009
from Houston, Texas
These headphones have some good features and some bad. First off, the case included is a really nice feature, the design is sleek. The headphones with the noise cancelling on is excellent. However, this is also where is falters. When the noise cancelling is off, the headphone's high range is muffled. To fix this issue I had to turn on treble boost on my ipod (which in turn mutes the bass a little). Either than that with the noise cancelling it is an excellent piece of hardware.
