3 of 5 Good Headset except for the USB charger Thursday, August 27, 2009 A Customer from Cleveland, OH
Great headset for sound quality, simple use, overall fit and weight. For me it was the best fitting and lightweight ear peice I've ever owned. Much better then the 2 motorola, blackberry, and plantronics bluetooth headsets I've also owned. It also had the best voice quality of all the brands thus far for both me listening and the other person hearing me without all the background noise. The only major issue i found was the proprietary USB charger interface was kinda put together in a shotty manner. A pin is now bent because the case that holds the USB interface broke apart and is nearly impossible to charge anymore. If you're a heavy use constantly on the go type of user, find something with a little stronger construction. Was this review helpful?

I used the BlueAnt for a couple of months; then bought an identical one for my wife. We love them. Great sound quality, easy to set up and use and durable. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Device! Monday, March 23, 2009 A Customer from Pelham AL
I owned earlier versions of BlueAnt bluetooth earpieces and this model is a great improvement. The Z9i allows for better placement and adjustment of the device in my ear and I can hear very well. I would recommend. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 THIS IS IT Saturday, March 21, 2009 RJ from new york
This Bluetooth HeadSet is pretty outstanding. As advertised one charge last about 5 hrs. The sound quality is good and the mic works just as well. I haven't had any complaints about not being able to be heard over the Blue Ant. I also like the fact that I can charge the headset using the USB cord that in the package. The headset itself is compact unlike many others on the market. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a Bluetooth headset. Was this review helpful?

The rubber ear piece rips after just a couple months of use.. I've gone through 4 already... :( it costs more than $10 to replace the rubber piece.
In all fairness.. functionality wise.. the headset itself works fine.. sound is good... but I really can't get over how badly designed the ear piece is.. I've gone through 4!!! I think I will toss this headset after this 4th one rips... (which will be in a couple of months... just like clock-work) Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Comfortable but only for the right ear Saturday, February 28, 2009 A Customer from Austin, Texas
This is a great headset. It has good sound quality and connected and worked well with an ATT LG phone that was having problems with the two previous Plantronics headsets we tried. The problem is the ear pieces. For me, the large one supplied is fine and is reasonably comfortable. For my girlfriend, neither the large nor small ear piece is comfortable ... in fact she "hates it". Unfortunately, the lg phone belongs to my girlfriend. :( I've found a couple of aftermarket earpieces for the headset and will try those. But why can't blueant get their sh together on this earpiece thing!!! I've paid quite a bit for the headset and now have to pay another $20 to get it comfortable???? Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Blue Ant Z9i Great value Monday, February 23, 2009 va from New jersey South
The unit is great but the shipping, althought free, took forever, the full 10 days! I know it was free but... The unit works great in the normal conditions. I was out in the wind one day and it was horrible enough that I had to call back. In all fairness I was in between two buildings and the wind was howling. I have had several other brands and by far this is the lightest and the shirt clip is a great idea. It works for me and the charge seems sufficient. The ear piece goes into your ear canal nicely and the hook for your ear itself seems beefy enough not to break easily. All said, I would purchase another.. Happy!! Was this review helpful?

Have one already. purchase second as a gift. easy to sync, use and store. no issues at all. works great Was this review helpful?

He bluetooth works ok, though connectivity on some answered calls has been an issue. Other than that, it works great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Wednesday, December 31, 2008 John H from Norfolk, VA
Works great with my BlackBerry Storm. This is the best bluetooth headset I have owned (total of 4). Like other reviwers mention, I can hear callers well, it is comfortable, and the range is the best I have run across, very small. Callers say they can hear me clearly too. Dislikes: proprietary charger, lapel clip is too loose to use (not that I would have anyways), and the ear loop is highly adjustable but does not stay in position when taken on and off (so I fidget with it a bit each use). 5 of 5 Best Handsfree device I've tried Monday, December 29, 2008 A Customer from Tampa Florida
Probably the best bluetooth I have used to date. The sound is clear, appropriate volume, and extremely comfortable. The range is outstanding. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product and easy to use Tuesday, December 02, 2008 JC from Weehawken, NJ
I use this headset with my IPhone and it works very well. I was able to connect, use and charge it by only glancing at the manual. The quick reference guide answered all the questions I had. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent with Blackberry Monday, December 01, 2008 Reggie from Indianapolis IN
Of all the Bluetooth devices I have tried, BlueAnt is far superior to Motorola, Plantronics, etc. Works awesome with my Blackberry 8330. Highly Recommend. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Noise Canceling? Not really. Friday, September 26, 2008 Mike T from Jacksonville, FL
Comfortable, good battery life, loud, easy to use, even looks OK.
Noise canceling...Nope, not that I could tell. On my end in a noisy area I could crank the volume until my ears bleed and yes I could hear the caller, OK so far but the caller could hear all the racket around me. With the top down in my car, the wind noise on the other end was loud. I could still be heard, but not really any better than my Apple headset. I'll continue looking for true noise reduction to get rid of that pesky wind noise. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great product.. simple to use Monday, September 15, 2008 Mahesh from Chicago, IL
I replaced my Motorola 850 with this. This has superior call quality and sleek looking too. The multi-function button is easy to use (once you read the quick guide). good buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 perfect blend of fit and sound quality Saturday, September 13, 2008 Brad from Solana Beach, CA
This is the best bluetooth headset I have ever used and I have used more than 10 over the years, including the Plantronics 925 and both the new and old Jawbones. I currently use it with my iphone 3G. The fit is highly adjustable which adds to the excellent comfort. The battery life is good and the sound quality is better than anything I have ever used (on both ends). The only way it could be better, perhaps, would be if the noise cancellation was better but my experience has been there is a trade-off between noise cancellation and consistent sound quality. This is the all around best bluetooth headset. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good for industrial environments Sunday, September 07, 2008 Hannes from Reno, NV
I bought this because I work around machinery where there is significant background noise. Previous (motorola) bluetooth was unusable when I needed it most. The max noise reduction works exceptionally well. It does not work in strong (10+ MPH) winds, but it would be well above my expectations if it did. The only flaw that I have found, which has always been my experience with bluetooth is that it occasionally get weak signals between my left hand side belt clip where the phone is and my right ear. Signal loss is not consistent, and I suspect it is caused by radio interference, but cannot confirm. Overall, I am very satisfied. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Oh Yes, it is certainly recommended Saturday, September 06, 2008 Michael Ososki from Atlanta, GA
Got turned on to this little jewel by my cel phone company CREDO. Previously, I was using a Motorola H3, which was definitely not loud enough. I actually had to press it harder against my ear to hear sometimes. So much for hands-free driving ;) Well, the BlueAnt Z9i solved the problem completely. It actually needs to be turned down on occasion! Plus it has great sound clarity, appearance, size and other functions. Good overall value. Another lovely contribution from our hot-happening Australian friends :) Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Not for Nokia 6555 Phone Thursday, August 28, 2008 Marc R from Crystal Lake, Il
While this is a comfortable and easy to use unit, the sound quality on the other end of the conversation is poor. When set up with my daughters Blackberry, sound on both ends was excellent, so apparently the issue is with the Nokia firmware. Please note, Dataviz DOES NOT take back blue tooth earpieces. In addition, while tech support at BlueAnt is polite, other than replace with same unit, will not issue a refund. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Not good connection!! Wednesday, August 20, 2008 A Customer from MI
If you wear it on left ear and wear cell phone on right pocket in pants, you can hear lots of noise.
I think Motorola product is much better. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great premium BT headset for the price! Tuesday, August 19, 2008 A Customer from San Jose, CA
In the realm of high end bluetooth devices the prices can get very steep. However, with the blue any z9i you get the premium features and accessories but at a reasonable price. The headset comes with two adjustable ear hooks as well as two different sized ear buds. The sound is great but could probably be a bit better. Overall a great headset. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best of the Best! Tuesday, August 19, 2008 Chris from Dallas, TX
I have gone through about 5 different headsets in the past 2 years and this one blows the others out of the water! I hardly ever find myself repeating my words, the volume level is great (can be very loud or pretty quiet), the pairing lasts, never disconnects from my phone, and the earpiece is small and comfortable and never falls out or gets sore. The features don't all work with my phone, but that's my phone's lack of functionality (palm centro). Perfect all around in my opinion! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Very affordable Tuesday, August 19, 2008 A Customer from Bridgeport PA
very comfortable, affordable, easy to use, elegant. the noise canceling is not the best, but it is rather good for the price that you pay. Was this review helpful?

Bought two one for me and my wife, this was an upgrade for me from the original Z9 that I have which I think is great. Since my wife liked the way the Z9 worked and felt compared to her Jarba, this gave me an excuse to buy the newer Z9i model too. The best change they made to the unit was the ability to disconnect a call with only a tap on the button versus holding the button for 3 seconds on the original model, I always forgot and ended up turning on the voice isolation to max instead. I bought my BlueAnt for it's clear audio. I People couldn't understand me on my old bluetooth. Now everyone can understand me and I can hear them. I don't use many of the advanced features because I only have one cell phone. The only problem is that I have is difficulty fitting the ear hook around my ear. Was this review helpful?

lightweight, comfortable, great volume control. poor range, though. whenever i am more than 30 inches from my phone i hear a significant amount of static that is a bit distracting and often interferes with sound quality. even when the phone is in my pocket the static is heard. for the price paid for this headset, i feel that this negative feature is unacceptable. Connection works fast with my phone but gave me lots of trouble with my computer and I have to unistall drivers. Noise cancelling does not work well. Battery average. It is light weight and solid construction but it does not stay firm over the ear, it is always loose Was this review helpful?

Just felt compelled to write about this bluetooth device. This is the fourth product I've tried in the past year, and this BlueAnt is the best I've found. I tried a different BlueAnt model - a discontinued product which pales in comparison, the Nokia BH800, and the Motorola H12. Both the BH800 and the discontinued BlueAnt were short-lived; the audio was garbled, and those I talked to couldn't hear my voice clearly. Believing new technology would improve my calls, I tried the Motorola H12. With noise cancelling, I thought this was exactly what I was looking for..not so! For the $100 I paid, I was quite disappointed. The fit was terrible - even after changing the ear pieces, and everyone I talked with had me believing I had changed my name to..'I can't hear you!!' So, I buy this BlueAnt Z9i which I received yesterday..and after my first day, I can say I'm very happy. Sound is clear, and everyone I talk to says it's like I'm in the same room with them. I haven't had the opportunity to try the noise cancellation feature, but I already know this bluetooth works great! Was this review helpful?

Overall, I like this headset and would recommend it. It's comfortable, the buttons are very easy to use and I think it sounds very good for the price. The only negative I will give it is that I think the incoming sound isn't as good as some other headsets I've used (namely - Plantronics 510) but the outgoing sound & noise cancellation is very good. Don't get me wrong - you can hear just fine. I personally think it sounds a bit tinny, but my callers say it sounds good and that's more important to me. Like I said - the buttons are easy to feel & work well. For the price, I think it's a winner. Was this review helpful?

This is the 3rd headset I have owned. I was a little weary about buying this because it was not a familiar name to me but I could not be more happy. I have owned Motorola and Plantronics this is by far the better of the 3. Was this review helpful?

I have had this for almost 2 weeks now. In my first impression i didn't find the volume enough for me. Once i got controls working it was a very good headset. I had a Motorola headset before this and i cud not wear it for more than an hour without discomfort, But now i wear the headset for the whole day comfortably. Battery life has been good so far. the Moldable feature of the ear hook is very good. Was this review helpful?

This headset it great! I'm currently using it with an att Tilt and couldn't be more impressed. The noise cancellation is pretty good according to people that I have spoken to on the phone. The battery life is great too! I charged it Friday night when I got it and have been using it since Friday night till Monday night so far with no low battery indicator in sight. It's lightweight and looks good. The only bad thing is the ear hook is a little uncomfortable and took some getting used to. Was this review helpful?

I found the headset to be unusable in a convertible. I borrowed a friend's Jawbone and it worked much better in the same environment. Lots of features for pairing with multiple phones. Support was very helpful but did not solve my problem. They wanted me to try another unit but I just returned it. Was this review helpful?

So after debating on the jawbone 2 and the z9i, I opt for the cheaper solution I couldn't bring myself to pay $120 for a headset. I'm glade to be the first to review this product. I just received it earlier today and only had maybe an hour of use so far. My impressions are GOOD not GREAT, one feature I really wanted to work was the voice isolation and it did a fair job just still a lot of background noise would be picked up an update should hopefully help this problem (none currently) voice quality was great they stated I sounded nice and clear and from my end they sounded great, no "robot" voice and from my end they sounded perfect. Comfort very comfortable at FIRST! then I noticed a slight annoyance in my ear I'll try some adjustments and different clips and ear buds later. Over all I'm pleased with the quality and sound disappointed that noise isolation isn't working the way I wished for, but Ill still be tested and trying it in different scenarios (car driving windows up/down radio soft/loud restaurant) and I will update this review in a week. Until then. I say its still a good purchase since the other option for a good quality headset is the $120 jawbone. Was this review helpful?
