4 of 5 It's big and it works... Sunday, June 15, 2008 etech from Napa, CA
It is the biggest remote you will need. When programming you must press the component button first after you enter programming mode otherwise you will get an error. After that the setup is very easy. The BIG Buttons are logically laid out and easy to operate, (the glow in the dark buttons even help when using the remote while watching a movie late at night). Like most remotes it has to be pointed directly at the component you are trying to control, (only one led emitter on remote). I can control every function on my HDTV, (Sony). The remote even has an "INFO" button for bringing up the channel information, and cursor control buttons for moving around the HDTV menus. It also easily controls my DVD and VHS, (yes I am keeping it around for a bit longer). Overall a good value for the price. Instead of picking up several remotes you just need one, (just be ready to go through a short "learning curve" using the universal buttons). Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 TOO CUTE!! Sunday, June 15, 2008 Jo-Anna from Bullhead City Az
This remote is HUGE!!! Really cute.. but you CANNOT use it to program your surround sound system. Other than that would be great for people with failing vision or kids. Was this review helpful?

this remote wouldn't work right from the start the red led came on as soon as the batteries were installed so you can't program it and it can't be returned. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Buttons didn't work Wednesday, June 11, 2008 A Customer from Arlington, MA
Press the channel down and instead it does channel up. Tried it on a couple of TVs and same results, so I figured it was with the wiring and not the TV code setup Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Even the wife can use this one. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 Ron M. from Bellingham, Wa.
BIG buttons make this remote easy for anyone to perform the normal things that some of the more complicated original equipment remotes make difficult for the tech challenged. While it doesn`t perform all of the functions that the originals do, like changing the TV`s input, it is still quite adequate. Easy to understand the Buttons are well marked and it is kind of fun to use.. If you loose this monster you better start thinking about moving into an assisted living environment. The remote control is suppose to control up to 8 devices - but has only 5 buttons to store a device. I was not able to program it for anything - even direct code entry does not work. I got "flashing light" - invalid code for many codes in the supplied table. For the "code reader" there are conflicting programming instructions. I bought to program my DVD, I was not able to program Sylvania or Admiral TV (older models). No WEB side, no support, no real manual. Useless. Was this review helpful?
