This GPS is great. I bought it becuase I had a few trips coming up and thought that it would be worth especially in a large city. It is very small and easy to use. The shipment came it fast as well. I have used it quite a few times already and love it. Will recommend to others!

To date I have purchased 4 of these. First one was for my daughter and since then, my neice saw it and fell in love, then a friend of hers did the same and wanted one for him and wife. I have only used Magellan so, maybe be biased, but I found magellan to be better than the others out there. This 3225 serves the purpose--I have been using it for only two weeks and the only concern I have noted thus far is that, when I have it set on using "fasted way" and I mistakenly enter an wrong road, it doesn't find the next shortest u-turn, it seems to take me on a longer route. I have tried it twice on my street and same thing. Maybe is a bug in the programming, because this doesn't seem to be the case when on other options like "Most Use of Highway" Besides this, I highly recommend, will be buying another one as a gift pretty soon.

Bought this refurbished item and it works like a new one. I have been using this for a month, never had a problem. The route calculation is less than 2 secs which is excellent. Not tested in downtown area. But i think, it will work as long as it can see the satellites. i have seen other product which dont do the rout calculations for several seconds. Bottom line, i would recommend this product.

Great little unit - easily set up & used. HOWEVER, the map is not completely up to date. On the way to North Carolina, a bypass (NC 17) that was completed last year was not in the system. Once I got back to the old road, it picked it right up. Also, we had to detour around an accident and it took us around it with no problem at all. Great value, but I dont think you can update the map.

I bought a pair of these for my wife and I. We love them. I also have a Garmin in my company car that is not as nice as these. The voice commands are very clear and often. You are never second guessing. The chime at the turn location also helps when you are at large intersections and are not sure if it is the first or third turn you need. I am very happy and you just can't beat the price.

First one had the entire internal charging connection removed. 2nd one seems to try and work, although it could not figure out where I was until I was half way there.

I was a bit skeptical about Magellan, and the fact that it was a refurbished product. The GPS, however, is excellent. I've never missed a street. My friends have got tomtom and garmin, but this product is at least as good as theirs, if not better! Go for it.

Ordered on Sunday,delivered on Wednesday..Fast service.. My first GPS, Easy to use, So far so good.I bought it for the long trip to dispense with the street maps.. Surprised many times that the chips figure differently from my head....

Very happy with this purchase, Had two Garmin products before, always had problems with them falling off the dash. This is like going from an old tube TV to a Flat screen. The features are also a real upgrade from the Garmin. You can not go wrong with product , especially for the price, this is a steal.

I got this as a gift, it is something that I wanted. I pulled it out of the box answered some simple questions and it was on. There are some drawbacks with buying a refurb unit. You CANT get any support from Magellan with map updates, they dont update refurb units. I plugged it into my computer and added 6 million points of interest and added places to see. There are plenty of websites that can assist you with updates. The screen changes at night to different colors and it is easy to see and read in both day and night. I really like mine.

This is a real good product for the price...user friendly and fast in re-calculating routes.I just need the GPS for navigation purposes and this one did quite a good job till now on all my trips...never was lost till now...its text to speech,POI's and touch screen are realy cool... Cons:should have more user settings..

I needed a GPS to take on frequent trips I must make for work. The Magellan 3225 has proven to be the perfect companion. It is very easy to transport (very thin) and was intuitive to use. I am sure there are more advanced models with more bells and whistles, but for my purposes this product was excellent and you cannot beat the price.

Delivery was very fast. I opened the box, hit the power and I was off. I set the location / time zone, of course, but since minute one, the Magellan 3225 has been fantastic. The address entry has been 100% on, even for very obscure locations, and the turn by turn voice / directions works perfectly. There are countless features, the maps are loaded with everything you could need including gas stations, restaurants, recreation, etc. I am VERY happy I didn't spend a few hundred on a more expensive product. The unit comes with window mount (very strong suction cup) a car charger, a wall charger, and the instructions, of course. 100% satisfied.

The audio on the voice is clear and the tone that occurs when you are at your turn is helpful, especially in an area with several turns close together (like a roundabout). The difference on this system is that you save the trip name before going forward which slows down the start but is helpful in repeating trips. The equipment for attaching to the window is easy to use and portable. All that is needed included. (I wish this thing came with an option for 'safest route'.)

We already have a Garmin Nuvi that we bought several years ago but at this price we have one for both of our cars. Starts much faster and gets signal faster than the Nuvi. Came with car charger, 120V charger, usb cable, and dash mount. No case and very limited reference guide. Only downside is I havent found a way to enter coordinates, only addresses.

Was so pleased that I have purchased 4 of these. After buying one as a gift for someone, I was so impressed that I decided to buy one for myself, my boyfriend, then realized it was such a good product that I purchased one for my son for his birthday. They come with everything needed and I love the fact that it speaks the street name as well as giving the directions. I was a previous Magellan GPS owner, so I was already confident in the capability of the Magellan products. A wonderful upgrade at an amazing price, especially considering that you get all the accessories!!

I have purchased 2 GPS's and I am very pleased with the product. I had one issue with the car charger. My son's car charger is not working correctly but he did not want to send it back because he would be literally lost without his GPS.

I bought this to give to a friend of mine. It got to me in very fast time. Even thou it was a refurbished model It worked great right out of the box. I wanted to test it before giving it to my friend and found it easy to use. The sound was very clear and by saying the street names it was much better than the Mio GPS that I use. I would reccomend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive but accurate unit.

I knew when buying this Magellan that the maps wouldn't be fully up to date, the version is from the end of 2007 according to the specs on the device. Some might find that a draw back, but none of the places we visited were inaccurate. All the points of interest we were looking for were in also. I did see that the Magellan has less POI's than other devices, however that was not an issue for us. The windshield suction cup mount worked fine, I don't know why people had an issue with that. Just a tip for everyone since it doesn't specify, you get a CD linking you to the online manual, the device, the mount for windshield and a dashboard disk to put the mount on if you prefer, the cigarette lighter plug & one for the wall, and I think a USB cable, bottom line, you get everything you need to use it right out of the box!

I bought this one as my last one was stolen from the car. The new one is a bit better, has slightly improved maps. It is easy to use, you don't have to keep going back to the manual for help. I just bought another for a gift for my father-in-law. My wife has a Tom Tom, and it is harder to use.

I have been extremely pleased with this item. It acquires the signal very fast. The controls are very easy to use and the sound is lowd enough to be heard at high speeds when there is more wind noise (windows closed). The base that attaches to the windshield is very easy to put up and has plenty of angles. Since the unit announces the turning streets by name, it is not even necessary to look at the screen. The unit recalculates any route very fast so if you deviate from the calculated way, it will recongize it quickly and provide you and updated route. The battery only lasts about 3 hours so carry the lighter adapter in your car at all times just in case.

My car's transmission started slipping a couple days ago on the freeway at night on the fast lane!!! I was petrified but I managed to exit safely and took the local streets home driving very slowly with the hazard lights on. My friends got me this for my birthday a week ago and I couldn't be happier! If it wasn't for the Magellan GPS, I would've been lost! I was so relieved I had it with me that night. It felt like I had a friend with me guiding me home turn by turn. I truly think this is the best gift I've ever had. It gives you an option for taking the freeway or local streets which is a big plus! I highly recommend this gps. My sister has a Garmin GPS but this one is way better than hers.

I've had it for a month and it is flawless! No mp3 or bluetooth but an excellent GPS that speaks louder and more clearly than my wife's Garmin 550. It does what it's supposed to do for $70! You can't beat that! I was pleasantly surprised that it supports the new HC SD cards. I highly recommed this GPS to anyone! Buy.com gave lightning-fast service and free shipping. I bought this from buy.com as a refurbished item, I am going through a divorce so my finances are VERY VERY TIGHT.... I did some research online for the different GPS units and wanted one certainly that a newbie could use with ease... but nothing really is exactly oober easy to use - but I have to say it didn't take much to figure this lil'gem out and one of the pluses I like is you can set it to call out the street names you will be turning on, definitely a plus plus for me.. Didn't really know too much about the Magellan brand, but have to say it is a very good product, and being that this unit was refurbished worked right out of the box and I love it and would recommend it to you and would recommend Buy.com.... very satisfied with their service, delivery and product.

The only shortcoming is that it has only 1.3m POI. After downloading the 6m POI, I couldn't be happier with it.

I had to send it back as it was not working on the touch screen couple of times, they sent back a brand new one in no time, ever since it's been great, light weight, good battery back up, easy to use, one they sent back looks brand new to me with no refurbished signs at all!!

the GSP respond time is good, boot up fast and easy to operate. however, POI is kind of out dated, battery life is kind of short, other then that, this is a good GPS for the price.

This is my very first GPS I have ever bought. It was really easy to use. For the price, there's no way I could complain. Accuracy is alright. I have my home address saved, but I can never "arrive at destination". I checked on their website for an update, but none are available. Sometimes it doesn't give you the fastest route, and will make you go in a big circle (my friend's garmin does the same thing). I highly rec. this unit, especially for a first timer like myself, and you really can't complain about the price!

Well Ive used my GPS three times, since I dont tent to go out of my normal travel area much. But I have a few friends that I can never remember how to get to their houses from mine. The maps are pretty up to date, but I dont like the disclaimer if you have a refurb you arent elligble for the map up grade that costs $100 dollars after tax and shipping. Shipping you ask? you dont get a down load, nope, you get a dvd. So far I like having it, but I still know smarter ways home. Also compared to a couple of other GPS devices Ive used this one does over complicate how to get somewhere. Id rather be able to say go, instead of fastest route, shortest route, most use of high ways, least use of high ways. Other wise its a good device.

I've been keeping my eye out for deals on a GPS for months. All of the affordable ones got bad reviews so I never bought one. Until now. I paid $69 with free shipping and I could not be happier. First of all, the thing came in the mail two days after I ordered; fastest shipment EVER. A lot of people warned that the updates are expensive and I agree; I have noticed a few times that it didn't know of a new restaurant. That part is unfortunate, I have to say. But it hasn't really kept me from enjoying the heck out of the thing. My first test was a trip to Philadelphia, a place I really don't know my way around. Without this thing I don't know how I would have made it anywhere. Bottom line, the thing works. It's loud enough to hear even with music on, it got me where I wanted to go and it's pretty easy to navigate. Comes with all the cords and accessories you need to attach it to your car. I don't regret my purchase at all!

In the past I used different GPS systems: laptop connected GPS, Garmin 2620, Magellan 6000T and built in GPS from my car..., They costed from $400 to $2000. This Maestro GPS is only costed $70. It is much better than all of them. It wiil cost $80 to just update the map on my old GPS system. This unit is small and run on battery. I could use it for driving and hiking. The touch screen manual page is simple and easy to use. 3.5 screen size seems a little small but I have no problem to read it. The whole US map was preloaded on the GPS. The only draw back is this is a refurbished unit, It does not come with the free map update from the web. There is a newer map in the Magellan web page.

I got the 3225 refurbished unit and it is working perfectly. It acquires the signal very fast after turning it on. The volume is perfect and adjustable. It announces the name of the streets which is a great advantage over the 3200 model for only $10.00 For a basic GPS it is excellent specially at the refurbished price. It is small enough to fit on a shirt pocket. The screen is bright and adjustable as well. The updated maps are a little pricy ($80.00) but I guess they have to make money too!

I'm very happy w/ this purchase, & received the product much earlier than I expected. it perform well, not the best, but what can I expect for a entry level & referbished unit. I think they should update the map to the last version, now they want to charge you 80.00 bucks to update. I'll not do it.

I wrote a review with 1 star that was never posted so thought I'd lie with 5 stars. Bought 2 units for Christmas gifts. They didn't come with lower 48 states so are basically useless. Magellan customer service seems to be trying to burn 90 days of warranty by doing nothing. Buy.com won't post 1 star reviews.

Gave this as a Christmas Gift to my Employee. He loved it!! We work in construction and constantly are looking for a new address!! Now he will find with ease. Drawbacks: having to pay expensive price for updated maps, same price as GPS almost. THANKS!!

The unit works fine however as with many things, it could be improved. What I like: +> Assists with entering address by dimming impossible letters. +> Says street names and dings at the turns. +> Pulls in GPS signals even in doors in many cases. +> Split screen that shows on some more complicated intersections. +> Recalculates directions when you go off route (or decide to go a different way). +> Comes with auto and AC cords. What could be improved: -> When you zoom out it hides streets faster than I would like. -> Can only avoid one road (segment) at a time. -> I would like the display to be a little dimmer at night. -> I have found a few problems with the maps. -> When it states street names, they seem to be slightly lower volume than the driving directions. Suggestion if you buy: Use in 2D mode. I like the display better and you can zoom in to add a spot to your address list.

Very good product so far, quality was excellent for a refurb. I was a little dissapointed that you had to pay for any map updates, but so far the maps have not been wrong.
