5 of 5 Works great for Macbook Tuesday, August 05, 2008 A Customer from Palm Bay, FL
This works great for freeing up space on the Macbook's hard drive. It's incredibly easy to transfer photo's, video's, document's, and anything else from the Macbook to the Hard Drive. The one and only complaint that I have is that the USB cable that comes in the box is only about a foot long... you have to keep the Hard Drive right there on you lap or on the desk right next to the computer. Aside from this minor complaint the item is flawless and works perfectly. For what your getting, it's a great price and value. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 In my opinion Best Portable Ext Hard Drive availab Thursday, July 31, 2008 A Customer from NJ
i have been using this HDD for 15 days. I use it as a backup of my favorite movies, softwares etc. It is has a very high reading& writing speed. Very light, compact & portable as it does not require any external power. I would definitely recommed this product. It does come with some PC synch software ... but dont like to use those softwares Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 WD Passport essential Monday, July 28, 2008 nirvana_suk from Portland, OR
I lost all of my photos because its synchronize. I didn't know before that if I deleted photos from my laptop and then synchronized it. All documents in the external hard drive would be gone. ... It doesn't work like back up which I have the other external hard disk. So make sure you copy it in other place, not to synchronize it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The Western Digital 320GB "My Passport" Wednesday, July 23, 2008 gil from Orem, Utah
Western Digital 320GB My Passport performs well and is so easy to set up and use. Plug and play as it were - and who would of thought you could get a 320 Gig drive that would fit in your pocket. No need for those little jump drives when you have this. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great and it matches Wednesday, July 23, 2008 David from New York
I have a white macbook, so this hardrive matches well. Previously, I had a 500 gb drive but it crashed on me so I picked this one up. It is extremely light white and easy to take anywhere. It reads once plugged in, best to plug it in before turning on the computer so that it attaches with ease. I really like this product and I am even considering buying another as a backup. Therefore, I recommend the passport. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A good ext hard drive-fits easy in your pocket Monday, July 21, 2008 A Customer from Irving,TX
Drive is very light and small enough that would fit into your shirt pocket.
The software that came with the drive is not so great.
Overall I am very satified, 320GB is good size too, I take too many photos and for that 320 would be sufficient for many years. 160Gb would have been tight and may be full in 1-2 year. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Everything a Portable HD should be Saturday, July 19, 2008 A Customer from Kissimmee, FL
At less than 50 cents per Gig, it's an excellent value for large-capacity portable storage. It fits easily in a shirt pocket (or in a laptop carrying case). It uses a standard USB mini-plug cable for data and power (no AC adapter needed), so I can now take my backup files with me, and still "travel lite". It has impressive speed (a must when transferring multi-gigs of data). My unit has proven 100% reliable (at least in the several weeks I've had it), and I'm almost ready to retire my several flash drives (4, 8 and 16 GB). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wow!! Received 2nd Day With Free Shipping!!! Wednesday, July 02, 2008 jmizzlefoshizzle from Minneapolis, MN
Besides being huge storage in a tiny package and not requiring external power it was shipped immediately and received the next day. Maybe it was an error or maybe buy.com just rocks!! Either way I thought it was pretty slick. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great external HDD Tuesday, June 24, 2008 A Customer from El Paso, TX
I've owned several external HDDs, but I've come to prefer the USB powered ones. They're a lot more portable, all you need is the USB cable and you're set to use it on most computers. It's my second passport and both are still very useful to keep all my files backed up. Was this review helpful?

Received this item very quickly, works great right out of the box. Main purpose for my purchase is to back up pics, docs and music library from one desktop and one laptop. Sets up a separate file for each computer with preinstalled sw. Tested it by d/l'ing laptop files to desktop. Worked great!
Only minor downside is it needs to temporarily install it's sw to you computer, this takes a few short minutes. It does this each time you hook it up to your computer. Upside, though, is it protects your privacy/files by removing any trace (unless you purposely d/l files to the computer). Was this review helpful?
