The Sound ID SM100 Bluetooth EarModule redefines high performance in mobile communications, providing exceptional clarity and comfort in a Bluetooth headset. The SM100 EarModule features NoiseNavigation™ and Advanced WindNoise Protection that automatically assesses the loudness level, frequency patterns, pitch, and tempo around you. Then it uses our patented Adaptive Noise Compensation and dual microphone technology to initiate countermeasures that create exceptional speech understanding.

On your side of the conversation, the SM1000 headset has Personal Sound settings. These listening modes adjust the frequency pattern of the incoming sound to match common hearing capabilities, and are selected by the press of a button on the headset. Now you can choose which mode provides a more intelligible conversation. A separate volume control provides additional sound adjustment.

Features
At 11 grams, the SM100 is small and lightweight, but still has excellent talk time of up to 8 hours. The unique, patented, earpiece, with three sizes of ear tips, provides a secure and custom fit that is comfortable to use for long periods of time. An optional over-the-ear hook is included for an alternative wearing style.
When they’re not in use, most headsets effectively plug your ear, cutting hearing by up to 50 percent. The SM100 features an Environmental Mode that passes through the surrounding ambient sounds when you’re not on the phone, so that you can hear equally well with both ears.
The SM100 features One2One Mode, which enables you to link to another SM100 over Bluetooth, independently of the phone, to provide 2-way radio communication within a 30-foot range.
Easy pairing with Bluetooth enabled phones. When first powered on, the SM100 automatically goes into pairing mode for fast and simple setup.

5 of 5 Great Value Friday, February 27, 2009
A Customer from Georgetown, TX

For the price, this is the best blue tooth earpiece I've ever owned. In ear design is very comfortable compared to the over the ear designs.

4 of 5 Great, but with a few issues Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Drew from Atlanta, GA
My first bluetooth headset. I did a lot of reserach before buying and people seemed to love this one. I like it too, but I've had some reocurring issues. 1) Once in a while it will freeze on me while someone is talking. For example, if they say "hello", I will hear "helloooooooooooooooooooooooo" because it freezes on "o". It has happened a few times in the month I've used it. After a few seconds, it goes back to normal, but i have to re-ask what the person said. 2) On occassion, people tell me "you're breaking up really bad" so I take the earpiece out and use my phone to talk, then they can hear me much better. Other than those two things, it fits perfectly, I can usually hear people really well, and they can almost always hear me well. The charge is good, but with the 3 options of Car Charger, USB Charger, and Wall Charger, you really shouldnt have a problem with always having it charged.

4 of 5 Good sound Wednesday, January 28, 2009
Paula from Bruce, MS
I used this headset for the first time this week and was very pleased with the sound. I was on the phone with my son and he said that he could not tell I was in the car, much less on a headset. The only con was that it did not keep its charge for a long time. The fragile plastic ear hook broke immediately but I could use the headpiece easily without it.

5 of 5 Sound ID SM100 Wednesday, January 28, 2009
Thomas from Pinetop, Arizona
This product performs just as the other reviews I read on-line claim. For the money ($24.99) it is a great value, fits well, easy to set-up and not unattractive.

4 of 5 Almost a 5 but I still love it. Saturday, January 24, 2009
Menkros from Jersey City, NJ
Though I can't give this bluetooth a 5 out of 5, it is still a great device nonetheless. Cons: - The Sound ID SM100 comes with a fragile plastic ear hook (I broke it within minutes of using). - There is a light modem-like whine in the background when using (I eventually got used to it and was able to ignore the whining noise). - Environmental Mode is a serious waste of technology and battery life. Pros: + My friends can hear me loud and clear (however, if you are outside, they can also hear the cars/trucks/trains/sirens just as loud.) + I can hear them loud and clear (sometimes a little too loud but that's what volume controls are for). + It comes with 3 different size earpieces (because every one is a bit different in size). + The earpieces fit comfortably and does not fall out, even without the fragile ear hook. + It is small, doesn't stick out like a sorethumb, and comfortable. Overall: I bought the Sound ID SM100 at $25 with free shipping and I have to say, it is a very good buy.

4 of 5 Great Value, small problem Thursday, January 22, 2009
Connoisseur from Milwaukee ,WI
Unit works well. The noise reduction is terrific. The biggest problem with this unit is the piece that goes behind the ear. It is flimsy and mine broke after a week or two of use. It can't be tucked in when I put the unit in a pocket and therefore is susceptible to breakage.

4 of 5 get what u pay 4 Friday, January 16, 2009
Drockess from TPA, FL
At $25 not dissapointed and certainly is MOST comfortable ear piece have ever tried. I wear all day no problem and nearly forget it's on..especially laying down to put kids to nap time. But is missing many of the favorite features have grown used to such as voice dialing...(I can still activate instead direct on my BlackBerry...but a bummer for true hands free!) Though personally willing to forgo some important features a higer end ear piece provides, I get all of this comfort with good sound, and a basic --noise cancel (that works for normal situations such as driving); I admit I miss my other features, and still use another ear piece when real hands free needed... but for the price I smile!

5 of 5 Good for the price Value Wednesday, January 14, 2009
Gopal from Bothell, WA
This item is a good product for the value. Its price is affordable. It is very easy to use. Coming to performance, it is good except some times on a busy road and air, it will give some disturbances to the listeners compared to when we talk without using it. Its very small and cute. I recommend everyone that you can go for it and enjoyyyyy.

4 of 5 Very Comfortable! Monday, December 29, 2008
Rob R. from Marietta, GA
Excellent sound quality both outgoing and incoming. The super small size is great and so lightweight I can wear it all day without discomfort and I don't need the 'over the ear hook'. Three different earpieces are provided to fit any ear. Also, it was really easy to pair with my Nokia phone. If it had come with a carry case that provided storage for the charger, I would have rated this a "5"!

3 of 5 It is okay, good value Sunday, December 28, 2008
A Customer from San Diego, CA
For $25, it is not bad. The Environmental Mode seems a little useless and unneeded. It also does not work with my voice dialing of my blackberry. If you just need a basic bluetooth, this is a good buy.

5 of 5 Great Sound, Low Price Sunday, December 28, 2008
A Customer from Santa Maria, CA
I bought this for $25 and it is SO much better than than much more expensive ones. People tell me they can't tell the difference between me talking on my phone or headset. It's small so it's easy to take with me. Fits in my ear without having to have a loop on the outside. And holds a charge for a long time. I love it.

5 of 5 GREAT PRODUCT! Saturday, December 20, 2008
Dori from Machesney Park.IL
I found this product to be an excellant purchase. It works great, I can hear everyone very clearly and the people on the other end can't even tell I am talking into my bluetooth, they have said it sounds like I'm talking right into the phone, the sound is very clear and they can hear me perfectly. This is a great buy for the price! My mom paid over $100 for the jawbone and she wants to trade it for one of these- I'm getting her one for her birthday!! Anyone want to buy a Jawbone.....:)

3 of 5 Plusses & Minuses Thursday, December 18, 2008
Mike from West Palm Beach, FL
The microphone does an excellent job of rejecting outside noise. People on the other end of the phone call said they could hear no extraneous noise while I was in a very noisy environment. (A Corvette at highway speed) However, I have had difficulty with the earbud, finding it hard to select the correct size and then getting it to fit into (and stay) in my ear. Without being completely inside the ear, the volume is a bit low. (In the above noisy environment.) The ear hook furnished to help hold the unit on the ear broke within minutes.

4 of 5 Good for the price Wednesday, December 17, 2008
JHRJ from Ankeny, IA
I like these guys. I bought 2 because of the one2one feature. It works good but I don't think we are ever going to get the full 30 feet out of them. I really like the inthe ear holding loop. It fells good and holds the unit on really well. I have tried two other bluetooth headsets and this one stays in the best. I was hoping for better sound quality and better distance but what can you do. if this unit is on sale under $30.00 pick it up. well pick up 2 because the one2one is fun.

5 of 5 This is great! Wednesday, December 17, 2008
A Customer from American Fork, UT
I bought the Tmobile Dash a few months ago and finally wanted to get away from using the included stereo corded headset that you have to keep plugged in to the unit. So I began my search for a bluetooth headset. I decided against a stereo headset since that would be too much of a hassle to have something in both ears. After a lot of scouting around on the internet, I am VERY happy with this purchase. The environmental settings are a waste of time in my opinion and probably uses up extra talk time, so I leave that function turned off. The sound quality is as good as my Tmobile Dash phone and that is really good. If I go into another room and leave the phone on the table, it does start to crackle from loss of signal but that is after about 25 feet, so I'm happy about that range. It's so freeing to have this! Another huge thing is the size. It's tiny tiny. It fits perfectly in my ear and I even forget it's there. If I get a call and it beeps in my ear, it sometimes makes me jump to realize it's still in my ear (I'm still getting used to it). If you push the button on the earpiece, it will answer through the earpiece. But if you push answer on the phone (at least my Dash) it will answer on the phone instead. I've missed a couple of calls this way. Price is a no-brainer. I figured it was cheap enough to at least check it out and test it. It doesn't get cheaper than this for this amount of quality. I don't know if I could have gotten better for 100 bucks but for what I got I'm very happy! As far as "no off button". Not true. It's the main button! You just press it for a few seconds and it either turns it off or on. As far as "light static back ground noise" I haven't heard any. He probably has the environmental function on and hears the amplified sound.

5 of 5 works good Wednesday, December 17, 2008
A Customer from Wisconsin
Other then draining the battery of my cell phone, this is a nice little gadget. Easy to use. I just wish my cell phone had a quick bluetooth button. When I use the ID, I have to go into the menu for my phone to find it. Otherwise, I haven't had any issues. The ear hook could work better.

4 of 5 Great product! Wednesday, December 17, 2008
Jerry from Hull, Ma.
This is the only one that i can say that actually works! Fits nicely in the air and the enviroment feature is really cool (allow outside sound to penetrate through the earpiece when not in use so you can hear with both ears)! Controls are easly to use and the voice and sound are very natural. Above all it was a super great price! The only down side is the extra ear clip loop (which I don't use) is very flimsy.

3 of 5 Its OK Wednesday, December 17, 2008
Susan from Port Saint Lucie, FL
When I saw this advertised, I had never heard of this brand before but saw a bunch of good reviews on it and the price was right. It fits nicely in your ear and the size is good. I have to set it on the 4th setting or you do get alot of static in your ear if you don't. The biggest disappointment I guess for me is the volume control. Though there are controls on the bluetooth, they don't seem to work. Mine is paired to a blackberry curve and the volume on the curve goes halfway down and if you try to increase the volume on the phone, you can't. I've had other bluetooths where you could. I've tried to increase the volume on the bluetooth but all it does is beep and the sound is the same. I guess the person on the other end of the call can hear me, I'm not getting complaints but if I'm driving with the windows down I'd like to hear just a bit better and I can't increase the volume.

4 of 5 Good with room for improvement Sunday, December 14, 2008
A Customer from Simi Valley, CA
Pros: 1. It takes a few seconds to kick in, but noise cancellation actually works. For example, if there is a constant background noise such as wind or running water, the device cancels the background noise so that the person on the other side doesn't here it. 2. It is small and light and fairly comfortable. 3. Paid $25 + free shipping (awesome) 4. A lot of features I didn't expect (one2one mode - which acts like a walkie talkie with another sm100 bluetooth device) 5. Volume is plenty - if you feel it's not enough, you need to get your ears checked. Cons: 1. Noise cancellation takes a few seconds to kick-in. 2. Plugs into your ear (you have to get used to it) - optional ear hook, but it doesn't work too well. 3. There is a light static back ground noise - not loud enough to be annoying, but it is there. 4. No off button - just a stand by mode (how can you not have an off button?) No way to disconnect from the sm100 end, you have to disconnect from the cell phone end.

4 of 5 SM100 Bluetooth Headset Tuesday, May 20, 2008
A Customer from Syosset, NY
The best Bluetooth Headset I've ever used. The first one that I ever kept. They still have a long way to go, but at least I can always hear what the other person is saying. Has an annoying echo from external sounds when on but not in use, but at least the headset is actually always functional. Acceptable rechargeable battery life. A little pricey, also.

2 of 5 There has to be better Monday, April 14, 2008
A Customer from North Branch,MN
The first headset I received did not work at all for the environmental or volume controls. I returned and received a replacement. The 2nd Headset works "OK" in Normal mode but the Environmental-Amplification modes are tinny sounding and really can not be used for a conversation plus it does not sound any louder or clearer. This is the most comfortable of my 5 headsets but lacks in performance.

5 of 5 This one is a keeper. Saturday, April 05, 2008
blazrx from Sacramento California
This little headset fits perfectly in your ear canal without using the external ear loop (provided) It comes with (3) ear canal cones. Sound quality is great. Environmental mode acts as a hearing aid. You do get a mild electronic buzz while using environmental mode but that is normal. I used it in windy conditions and the sound was great. Everyone I called said it sounded better than my cell phone. No interference. My range from device to phone is about 40 feet. The voice command call feature is awesome. All the buttons on this are user friendly. I will not need to purchase another bluetooth headset for a long time. I used the Revolution Card $50.00 promo so the price was great. This one is worth it.

5 of 5 Great headset Thursday, January 10, 2008

Sound quality is very good. Very comfortable and no problems wearing for extended periods of time. The environmental mode takes some getting used to. Most people on the other end of the line comment that they cannot tell that I am using a headset.

5 of 5 Incredible Performance Wednesday, December 12, 2007
A Customer from San Ramon, CA
This headset is amazing. I have owned or tried many headsets and the Sound ID SM100 provides the best overall performance by far. The built-in noise reduction is fantastic. I drive a Corvette. This is the only headset where the person I am talking to does not complain about the background road noise when I am traveling at 70mph on the highway. Also, unlike Jawbone, it also has great incoming sound (what you hear). You can choose one of three built-in PersonalSound modes for what sounds best to your to your ear. This headset also uniquely allows sound to pass through when not on a call so you can hear well with both ears. Couple all that with a very long 8 hour talk time and this is my headset for a long to come.
