Ok, my 1-year old got this as a birthday present and it terrified him. The 7-year-old likes it, but he's in that stage where he loves anything that makes a lot of noise. This toy only has 2 tracks - one where he stands up and giggles for about 2 seconds, and then a longer one where it falls over and spins around giggling and says a couple lines. The falling over part does not always work right on hardwood floors, and the repetition of the same couple lines is getting really annoying. It uses 6 (SIX) AA batteries, and after playing with it for about 30 minutes, it is showing signs that those are wearing out. I don't think they'll get replaced at my house...But, we DO like that it is Ernie - he's cute.

This is great for all ages. My 2 yr. old niece loves it and we love to watch him roll around on the floor. It's hilarious. Just as great at the Elmo but Ernie is quite a bit smaller in size. He is still a wonderful toy.
