The Linksys Wireless-G Music Bridge lets you bring the digital music streaming to or stored on your computer to your Home Entertainment Center, without running cables through the house. Using a wireless connection, the Music Bridge finally frees your digital music collection from those little computer speakers to play in full glory through your stereo or surround sound system.

The Wireless-G Music Bridge sits by your home stereo and connects to it using standard consumer electronics cables. Then it connects to your home network by Wireless-G wireless networking, or if you prefer, it can be connected via standard 10/100 Ethernet cabling. The included software creates a virtual sound system in your PC, which sends the audio output of any application to the Music Bridge and the stereo system. Use your favorite media player to play your music, and listen in the comfort of the living room.

4 of 5 Good product Sunday, May 17, 2009
Daryl from Atlanta, GA

This is a good product to stream music to any almost any audio player. It saved me wiring and works well. The setup was a pain when I got the bright idea to run the latest version because that required a firmware upgrade...

5 of 5 Great product if using old firmware Saturday, May 09, 2009
A Customer from Chapel Hill, NC
I bought a refurbished WMB54G hoping to get the old pre-Vista version of the firmware. I did, and everything works great. I made the mistake of upgrading to the Vista version of the firmware on my original WMB54G and once it started misbehaving with drops and stutters, I couldn't find a copy of the old firmware. Buying a refurbished product was the next best option.

3 of 5 Tough setup! Wednesday, February 25, 2009
Todd Hurst from Effingham, IL 62401
I will try to be brief. MAC address on box and device was incorrect, causing problems with my wireless MAC filtering. System was shipped with old firmware, also old setup utility. PC would not see the bridge, therefore, it would not work. Had to set PC up with static 192.168.1.x address and then configure via web to 192.168.1.210 (bridge default, no user name, pwd is "admin") since I could not get the bridge to be seen via the setup program. I went to Linksys and got firmware files and new utility setup (two zip files). WARNING - firmware has to be updated using new utilty setup software. After several hours of learning this on my own, it seems to works well! Had I known this information, or had it been shipped with the correct firmware and CD, it works! I am an I.T. person and had a tough time discovering this on my own. If you are not technically savvy, and don't know this information, you will be sending it back. I bought it as a refurb at a deep discounted price. I bet there was nothing wrong with it, and all it needed was the correct setup that I indicate in this review. Wish someone had posted this before I had to go it on my own! After the configuration scenario I had to endure, it seems to be performing as it should. It is easy to use after it has been configured correctly. Wish it would have been ready out of box.
