DeLonghi DUH400 1500-Watt Utility Heater

This heater does everything I'd hoped. It's pretty quiet too. I've purchased 4 of these. Only 3 here in my house. The only draw back is that when my daughters each have theirs on in their rooms it trips the breaker. Lots of watts being pulled I guess. Still great value for the 18.00 price.

Its wonderful if you can wait about 10 minutes so that heater can warm up your room.

Product works great. Keeps my bedroom warm and toasty (I have a small room though, only about 10'x10'). Adjustable thermostat works nicely. Internal tip-over off switch works and is a nice safety feature. I was originally worried about the body getting really hot because of its aluminum construction, but then I remembered that, duh, aluminum dissipates heat really quickly! Even the front grill where the heat exits the heater is cool enough to touch. The only CONS I have with the heater are that it turns back on about 1 or 2 minutes, after shutting off, to maintain the selected room temp (at least that means the thermostat works properly, but it's a little annoying sometimes when I'm trying to sleep). Also, the fan is kinda small so it doesn't circulate the air as well, but I turn my ceiling fan on low to help move the air in my room. Overall, for less than $19 shipped, I think it's great bang for your buck and would recommend this space heater to my friends.

I had a nightmare with my electricity bill this Jan hence I purchased this product. It is very easy to use and heats the small room like 12ft * 12 ft room pretty quickly, in 30 mins or so. Buy.com has made a great offer to purchase the heater in $18 and it is excellent value for money. I will recommend this product to be purchased.

We put this in or 33' trailer because it was hard to sleep with the unit in the rig (sounds like a vaccuum cleaner), and we couldn't be happier. The first night it got too hot (about 45 degrees outside) so we had to turn it down for the second night. All in all a great product for a small efficient space heater. Can't go wrong with this.

I am not satisfied with this product.... I have to keep this heater very close to me to feel the heat.... and this heater is for a single person use. I would say its waste to spend money on this item... If there is any return policy on this item I would like to return it.

I purchased this to put in the back room of the house on cold nights to take the edge off because sometimes it gets colder back there when we are just burning the wood stove and keeping the heater down low, and it does the job very well. I love that it is not overbearing but heats the entire room, and stays touchable on the outside, so I don't worry too much about anything getting up next to it. I purchased it on sale in December for 17.99, and if it was still on sale I'd buy two more. Can't say I'm willing to pay 52.00 for it though.

You can buy it for a small room and it works fine in it. I tried using it in a little larger living room of size 18/16 and it wasn't able to warm it up. It is intended for use with a small to medium sized rooms. Also, I bought 3 altogether and one of them was DOA. However, thanks to buy.com they sent a replacement without too much of a hassle.

At the sale price and free shipping this heater was great. I used mine and bought two more for gifts, they worked so well. All the features you need in a compact easy to move unit. I have had mine for about 1 1/2 months and it is running fine. I usually only need to use the low setting. I would consider buying more for use throughout the house and for gifts if they go on sale again ($18-20).

This heater is portable and good for small areas. Overall look and finishing is not great but this is good enough for the price I paid. Warm air comes right after you turn it on. Overall - it is good.

It's light-weight and has nice safety features. I have a small bedroom, so if I leave it on overnight, it does a great job of keeping the room warm. The fan is strong and reaches pretty far.

I was disappointed and skeptical when I took this little baby out of the box. It seemed too small and light to work. I plugged it in and it started, but I didn't feel much heat coming from it. HOWEVER, when I walked into the room later, the entire area was warm and cozy. I don't know how it does it, but this heater eventually gets the job done, and does it much better than any other space heater I've used. My only complaint is that it seems to take a bit longer to get there, but it sure makes up in effectiveness what it lacks in speed!

I have an almost identical heater but different brand. That one is louder but hotter. This one is very quiet (a bonus) but the heat is not as strong. It does have an off switch which my other one doesn't have and has a FAN only function. However, when on fan only you can barely feel any air. Overall and for what I paid it's a great deal. It will heat a small bedroom and works for our baby's room. Can also be used as a personal heater under a desk etc...

This is not a heater but a heating fan. The only way to use it is by having it blow the heat towards you. Not bad for the price. Not useful for rooms larger than 300ft.

everything works just as described; I've been using it frequently from the day it arrived and it doensn't have any problems yet (I ordered it on Nov 11). I love how I can make it so the heat comes out constantly or from time to time thus controlling the room temperature. Like I just mentioned, no problems prevailed like some of the reviews I've read before (but let me not jinx that*knocks on wood*).

This heater is warm and quiet. I would recomend it to anyone. I only wish it had seperate heater and fan controls so the fan would stay on when the heater turned off.

Easy to use. Money-saver setting can automatically stay at 41 degrees... read the instructions (it is called the "arctic setting"). Safe-- automatically shuts off if it tips or overheats. Light weight.... easy to move around. Highly recommended.

Have had this heater for about a year, it was used in a basement bedroom for about 6 months where it was ran about 12 hours a day to keep the temps above freezing. It finally shot craps this year when the dog knocked it over and the fan part broke. The unit performed great. It kicked out a lot of heat due to the fan blowing the air through it.

Which is heat a small area. It's got a utilitarian appearance which is OK for non living room use. Fine for keeping one's feet warm while using a computer or watching TV. As with all of these small heaters, be careful because electricity expense can be a problem.

The heater is great! I use it in my office so that I can keep the heat down in the rest of the house, but still stay nice and warm and it does that job perfectly. Pretty inexpensive, too, considering the prices of other heaters that I've seen in stores.

It gets the job done. Not an idle choice if you are looking for instant heating. The fan blows slowly. Con:The trip off time is shot so it kind of keeps running, trips off for less than 30sec.

This is a good buy. The unit is sized right for just about any location. It is built sturdy and looks it. From a tech standpoint the heater uses a coiled resistance wire rather than the ribbon found in most heaters in this price range. It should last. The fan puts the heat where needed. Priced right - works well. What more can you ask?

Seems pretty reasonably built. Definately puts out pleanty of heat. It is very quiet. I noticed the temperature selector only goes down to about 65 degrees, and up to like 120. I wouldn't use this in a space that you want it to shut off when you get up to 40 or 50 degrees, because you can't make it shut off at that low of a temperature. Since I am using it in my bedroom at night... I just turn it all the way (or almost) down, and it works great. It puts out a lot of heat and can warm up a space quickly. Over heat and tip protection seem to work fine.
