4 of 5 NuVue Frame Wednesday, June 20, 2007 A Customer from Budd Lake, NJ
The unit is a good size for a picture frame. Clarity of the display is very good. It's function buttons are a pain but not that important if you don't need to customize. Overall, I'm pleased with its quality. This is my second frame, the first one had to be returned because it didn't work at all. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 You Get What you Pay For Tuesday, June 19, 2007 A Customer from Newark, DE
If you think you're getting the typical photo frame you see at gadgets stores like Brookstone or Sharper Image, you might wanna reconsider buying this digital photo frame. The frame itself is made out of a grayish thick plastic which they call acrylic but does not resemble the nice thin glass-like acrylic you typically see. The LCD of the frame is sub-par for a digital photo frame, with inaccurate color reproduction-light subtle colors are lost, most noticeable for portraits where skin hues appear either pasty or rosy. For example, the product image showing the three kids is simply not accurate, the image would not be as clear or color accurate. That being said the frame does appear to be user-friendly and the construction is sturdy, and for less than 100 dollars it's not bad. Just don't expect a 200 dollar product for this price. 3 of 5 Ok... For the money... Monday, June 18, 2007 A Customer from Lacey, Wa
This was a GREAT price but it lacks clarity and doesn't accurately show the color of the image that was taken. Great for the office but not a show piece. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Don't waste your time or your money. Monday, June 18, 2007 A Customer from Monticello, Indiana
Menu is not convenient to navigate and use.
Changes you make to the color setting are not stored. If you turn off the frame all changes to settings are lost and have to be reset the next time you turn it on.
Picture quality is terrible. Hightlights are blown out, images do not maintain correct aspect ratio and therefore look very distorted, images (even at very high pixel count) look pixelated, very little black detail visable. As a wedding & portrait photographer I am confident is saying that this frame is useless to me and will be returned immediately. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Not as sharp as I'd like Sunday, June 10, 2007 A Customer from St. Louis, MO
The frame worked right out of the box, and was able to display images from an SD card with no special configuration. I have a variety of old images dating back to a 640x480 camera, and I found that things worked best when I resized all the images to 800 width before loading them to the SD card. Smaller images (640) ended up with black borders, though one would think that a 640-width image would snap exactly onto the 320-width display. Go figure.
Sharpness could be better, but again, that looks like an interpolation problem. I'll need to try a few more image sizes. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 WOW, I can see the pictures Tuesday, June 05, 2007 A Customer from San Antonio, TX
Easy to use, and great results. My pictures are no longer trapped on the computer, or permanently stuck on a disk so that I can't see them. LOVE it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Photo-magic made easy Saturday, June 02, 2007 smtscapes02 from Birmingham, AL
This made a beautiful mother's day gift and wowed the on-lookers. It's a great product for a great price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good price-average picture Friday, June 01, 2007 Darrell Newell from Helena, AL
The price was great, so I wasn't expecting the best frame out there. The picture size is smaller that some frames available, but if you're looking for a budget digital frame, the average color will be ok. This is a good "starter" frame. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Purchase Friday, June 01, 2007 lking411 from Richmond, Virginia
Purchased a LCD photo frame player. Quality is far beyond my expectations. Even better I purchased it for my husbands birthday and he was totally delighted. I will continue to purchase with Buy.com Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 An affordable but poor digital picture frame Friday, June 01, 2007 A Customer from Rowland Heights, CA
This frame was purchased because the price was very low. However, the digital picture was quite poor in display resolution (only about 72 dpi). The pictures displayed lacked detail and visibly pixelated. Also, the user interface is awkward and very slow. Purchase this picture frame if you are on a very low budget for a digital picture frame. 2 of 5 Good Price, Bad Buy Thursday, May 31, 2007 Dee Kay from Canton, OH
Basic digital frame. I bought it as a gift and I have to say that I had low expectations, but I was still disappointed. The picture quality was poor. The contrast was blah. The color was alright. It did not come with any sort of media drive or stick. The menu system was lame at best. Few transition options. The slides took a long time to flip. The manuel didn't offer much guidance in use or upkeep.
I wouldn't recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 So easy, my mother could use it. Thursday, May 31, 2007 A Customer from Greenbelt, Maryland
I got this for my mom for Mother's Day. She loves it. She knows she can just insert her memory card into the back of the display and she turns it on. That's all she does. And it's all she needs to know. And it works.

5 of 5 Great Product Wednesday, May 30, 2007 A Customer from Spokane, WA
This picture frame made the perfect Mother's day gift. My wife was so excited that she made me buy several more to give to other family members as gifts. What a wonderful way to display your fondest memories, they are all close and do not take up too much space. My wife uses it at work now instead of posting printed pictures around the office. I'm sure we will end up using more of these in the future. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good digital picture frame Wednesday, May 30, 2007 Sk8ter1916 from New York, NY
good and decently cheap...the color quality isn't top notch, and the menus are a little difficult to navigate, plus your settings don't save after you turn the frame off. but good and fun, easy to just insert your SD card, and easy to plug into a TV to view your pics as well! 4 of 5 Good Product at a Great Price Wednesday, May 30, 2007 bob from Clayton, OH
I bought this for my wife for Mother's Day. Pulled out a spare memory card, threw it into the frame and had a picture uploaded in a couple minutes. The directions weren't detailed enough but I figured it out on my own fairly easily. The only downsides that I can see is the necessity of having a memory card and the fact that you can't leave the USB cable hooked up to the frame while having it in display mode. For the price though it's a great value and a beautiful picture frame with a sharp, attractive display. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic Digital LCD Photo Player Wednesday, May 30, 2007 Marshall from Kinston, NC
Bought this item not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the picture. Good color and sharp image. The product is very easy to use. I can not comment on the long-term durability of the product because it is still new.
I gave this as a gift to my wife because she had been eyeing similar items for the past few months. This item had similar specs to other products ranging from $80 to $125.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the appearance of the frame and the quality of the product. I would recommend this item to family and friends. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 lower cost, lower quality screen Wednesday, May 30, 2007 casual fotobuff from Algonquin IL
overall, I found this frame for a somewhat lower cost to that of other frames, and so decided to take a chance and purchased it. It worked straight out of the box, load up a memory card, plug it in and turn it on and go. To change settings, the user interface is a bit weak, but generally usable - I'd not ask grandparents to change the settings, but there also shouldn't be the need to, as you turn it on and it works.
My largest beef is with the resolution of the screen - it is not a high or even a medium resolution display - everything is noticably grainy. My other beef is that the colors displayed aren't particularly true to life, but it does the job adequately.
Were I to have bought this for full price, probably wouldn't have kept it - for the discount, the value was good enough to keep. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Value Wednesday, May 30, 2007 Les from Galena, Ohio
For the price it's a great little picture frame. It's easy enough to use if the default settings work for you but changing anything is not very user friendly. Although it works great with photos straight from the camera, it will hang up on any pictures that have been edited. The lack of any internal memory is disappointing but understandable at the price. 4 of 5 Time might still not be right Tuesday, May 29, 2007 rb_low from Rockford, TN
I bought a couple of these digtal picture frames. Ease of use is great. There is little to do other than plug in the power and the media card. The picture quality is OK, but not great in my opinion. We purchased an LCD TV late last year and we are constantly awed by it's picture quality. I can't say the same for this product. I have tried a variety of pictures - both scanned at 600 dpi and pictures from a camera's SD card. They look good, but not great. When I installed both a compact flash and a SD card in it - only the compact flash pictures displayed.
There maybe other options, but the instruction manual is almost non-existant - just a few basic instructions and the buttons to push to get into the menu. I have not spent much time in the menu as it takes some time for it to actually show. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Value Tuesday, May 29, 2007 Justin from Washington, DC
This was significantly cheaper than most name brand digital frames, so I didn't have too high of expectations. My biggest requirement for the frame was that it was easy to use, and I was a little disappointed in this area. I was mostly disappointed that it did not have a USB/thumb drive input. All-in-all I am pleased with my purchase though. Was this review helpful?

I was very pleased with this product. It met my needs at a reasonable price. This is a great product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great value... Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from NJ
This frame is nothing fancy, but if you're looking for an inexpensive LCD frame, this is it. Video quality is fair. Easy to use. No internal hard drive. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great deal Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from ny, ny

5 of 5 Nice product Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from Piedmont, SC
Pretty good product for the price. Has no onboard memory. You have to use a memory card. But those are pretty cheap too, so its not a big deal. Hard to beat this price. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Very low resolution Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from Austin, TX
This LCD photo frame works well, but has a very disappointing pixel resolution of only 320 pixels wide, resulting in a low-quality picture. I was also disappointed in the instructions provided - there are no guidelines or instructions on the optimal resolution of photo to display on the photo frame. I ended up resizing my images to no larger than 640 x 480 - anything larger is just a waste of memory. The photo frame requires an external memory card to store the photos (not provided).
The image shown on the advertisement for the product is much better quality than you will ever see on the actual product. My advice - save up for a higher resolution photo frame and pass on this one... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good value and great picture Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from Miamisburg, Ohio
I got this for my wife for Mother's Day and she loves it. She has showed it and her pictures stored on a 2 Gig SD card to every guest who has been through the house. Most had never seen such a "thing" before. All I did was copy our favorite pictures to the SD card and inserted it into the unit. It cycles through them without any additional attention. We have not tried to access any of the other features. The picture is bright with surprising vivid color for a unit costing as little as this one. We are both very happy with it and would recommend it as a starting unit to anyone. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Grainy image Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from hearne texas
This item works as advertised and is reasonably priced. Very easy to use and has a pleasing design. Screen image is a bit grainy when viewed at close range. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 OK for the money... Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from Wesley Chapel, FL
My only beef with the unit is for such a small screen, I was expecting a clearer display. I've had the unit go south a couple of times which required me to power it off/on. All in all, not bad for the money, but next time I'm going to research other products a little more closer. Very simple to use, plug in your memory module and everything else is automagic. 3 of 5 Nice frame but... Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Customer from Chula Vista, CA
Timer is off. It takes anywhere from 10 seconds to 3 minutes to change pictures. Nice conversation piece but would be better if you didn't have to wait so long for a new picture. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Works as promised Monday, May 28, 2007 from NJ
A cool device to own-it provides a continuous slide show of as many digital photos as you can store on an SD or CF card.(Cards not included.) The image (about the size of a 4" x 6" print)has decent resolution. Essentially, it provides the sort of show you can "play" on the screen of your digtal camera or on your computer, but without tieing up these appliances. It came with too few instructions, so I am not sure I have figured out all its capabilities. The one function that seems to be missising is the ability to display photos in a file in random order, which would make "watching" it more exciting. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Not too impressed Monday, May 28, 2007 A Customer from Northern CA
I'm glad this product wasn't as expensive as other frames, but didn't expect it to be as cheap in appearance and performance considering it was still ($..). The instructions were sparse and user interface not as seamless as described. Don't expect the display to be as clear as the simulated product photo. I would return it if it was still within the 14-day window from date of shipment. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Photo Frame Monday, May 28, 2007 A Customer from scottsdale, az
Item was so inexpensive I couldn't resist, but you get what you pay for. Resolution is poor, features limited and no manual to speak of. If I could do it again, I'd buy a better one. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 It's going into the office grab bag Monday, May 28, 2007 Tom Cardamone from Harpers Ferry WV
Used a Kodak Large Picture frame LCD for the past 5+ years with excellent results, it received many compliments on the quality of photo rendition, but frame only took CF media. Purchased the NuVue in order to use the newer SD media.
What a disappointment.....the pixel size /dot pitch is so large that all the slides, even those taken at 4 Mb or greater, appear fuzzy. Colors are vivid but slightly shifted. I'll continue to convert to CF and keep the Kodak......If you love blurry pictures you'll love the NuVue. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Good product, great price Monday, May 28, 2007 Joe from Oregon
I've waited to buy one of these for quite some time but the price and options on this just couldn't be passed up. It was a gift for my wife on mother's day and she absolutely loves it. It's easy to load up a memory card with images, browse through the viewing options and then set the images in motion. The menu isn't the most intuitive, but it only took a few minutes to figure out. The image is relatively clear from almost any angle, which is something I can't say about other frames I've seen that were substantially more. For price ($...) and quality, this is an excellent deal! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good deal Sunday, May 27, 2007 tmovideo from chicago
I was trying to find a frame for under $100 ... and this fit the bill nicely. I didn't really get into the menus, just threw a CF card in and the photos played automatically. It'll make a nice gift for someone "technologically challenged" Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value, Looks good, Easy to use and ok Perfor Sunday, May 27, 2007 Joe from Howell, NJ
I bought this for my Mon for Mother’s day. She wanted a digital picture frame after she saw my wife’s. Overall, for the money it’s a very good picture frame. The frame itself looks good compared to some of the other Digital Picture Frames. It has no frills, but it’s very easy to use. You need a memory card to use this frame because there isn’t any memory built in. The picture quality is ok, colors are a little off and the image is pixilated but good image. If you are looking for a high quality image, nicer looking frame with a lot of features I would recommend the Philips Digital Picture Frame. This is what my wife has. Yes, there is a very big difference all the way around but it should be for more than twice the cost of this. For someone who is not very discriminate this is for them. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Decent for the price Sunday, May 27, 2007 rwalsh26 from Marlton, NJ
A decent buy for the price. Pretty slow menu response and loading the initial pictures from the memory card. Image quality is ok. If you're looking for something basic at a low price, this will do. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not Bad for the price Sunday, May 27, 2007 memoore01 from Harrisburg, PA
This bare-bones product does what it claims. The software and instructions are bare bones. I resized a bunch of images to the screen resolution, only to have them appear postage stamp size. Reloading the full size image files solved the problem but it wastes space. Software is awkward but once it is set up, it restarts where you left off. It functions in landscape mode only. It would be nice to have an option to turn the frame to portrait orientation. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 It rocks! Sunday, May 27, 2007 Rob from Roseville, MN
What a great product. Especially at the sale price I got! It's so easy to use, it's like another hard drive when you hook it up to the PC with the USB cable. Just drag and drop the photos you want. Then turn it on. Superb value, great quality. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 not quite there yet Sunday, May 27, 2007 A Customer from marion, iowa
the resolution on the digital picture frames is not quite there yet. the printers have little to fear when it comes to high resolution photos for office desks, etc.
with that criticism out of the way, this is a FUN product. This digitial photo display is a good value and is easy to use.
my "not so high tech" wife loves it and has it loaded with pictures and changes them frequently. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Value Sunday, May 27, 2007 A Customer from Stuarts Draft, VA
LCD Photo Frame works well. I currently have over 50 photos on it. One concern, the player does not switch photos every 6 seconds as it claims. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Reasonable performance for the price Sunday, May 27, 2007 A Customer from Portland, OR
With this frame, you pretty much get what you pay for. The resolution is only 320x234, but it actually looks okay.
The frame is doing some kind of interpolation--even though the resolution is only 320x234, a 320x234 photo won't fill the frame. I found that anything about about 680 pixels wide will fill the frame.
The manual doesn't have much information and neither does the website.
For ($..), it was a good gift for my parents. I'll mail memory cards to them with new photos. For my own use, I want something bigger and more configurable. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Picture Viewwer Sunday, May 27, 2007 Mike from Davie
The wife is still watching the pictures. Great deal don.t miss it. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Inexpensive, sort of. Sunday, May 27, 2007 A Customer from Chattanooga TN
Because it doesn't come with built-in memory (read: "cost savings passed onto you"), you need to buy a memory card or dedicate one that you already own (read: "cost actually passed onto you"), so in the end, the value is not that great. Pic quality is what you might expect from one of the least expensive digiframes on the market. That said, it beats a static frame. Personally, I would wait until this market has become fully commoditized (price to quality/feature ratio decreases) before stocking up. There will be a tipping point, when that ratio is attractive enough, when people buy these en masse to replace their current picture frames. As of now, these are a luxury, and for those looking for a luxury, this unit is probably not the one for you. Was this review helpful?

I'd recommend going with another digital picture frame. This one isn't the most intuitive to use and the picture is definitely sub-par. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Easy to use Sunday, May 27, 2007 A Customer from Newbury Park, California
The product is easy to use and well-priced, although it does lack some key components. For instance, the slideshow does not have a fade function, which makes the slideshow a but cheap looking, and the screen is not very high quality. Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 67 reviews
