DigiStore Centurion CD - CCD-DSS - If it's worth saving onto disc, it's worth protecting with the Centurion CD!

I bought 3 of these 6 years ago back when they were called century cd and still use the DDS software which i find simpler and easier than the media tracker software. This new centurion CD unit works faster and quieter when rotating. Very reliable, for 6 years never had any of these make a mistake ejecting the wrong cd or never had one jam. Keeps your CD/DVDs scratch free.

My family has tons of Playstation games, and we were getting tired of searching for games that were under games in one huge library. I bought Centurion CD in 2007 and we have never had to search for another game! I hooked this up to my laptop, and it has worked wonders, and I have purchased 4 more units since! Completely no problems so far! The manufacturer is fabulous and take care of my technical questions promptly and effectively. The CEO of the manufacturer was even writing to me personally on a few occasions.

The unit never worked, keeps on turning with a lot of noise. After several weeks of back-n-forth with the mfg, They said I would have to pay to have it shipped back to them and also include shipping funds for them to return the item. What a rip off. Extra cost is almost the price of a new one.

Simply Amazing, a Must have if you have a lot of disks to store, makes looking for them a snap, its easy and fun to use, and looks really cool as well. Excellent device, everyone with a lot of discs must have one. Its quiet, fast, easy to use, and fully integrated with explorer. Keep all your important discs here and avoid hours of frustration looking for discs!

I purchased this item to begin storing blu-ray disks and I am satisfied it will do a proper job of storing and keeping the disks clean. I already appreciate the ability to recover the disks if the storage data is lost in a harddrive failure. Since I only had three disks in, I had not backed up the file, my drive took a dive and I was able to reinstall the software and tell the Centurion device to eject all disks. Works great!

The first one I bought was DOA. Buy.com was quick with the replacement. The second one acted like it was going to die, but a month later it's still running. You'll get very little in the way of documentation, and the software is the pits. It works, but just barely. I've had issues with it not wanting a CD back by saying it's checked in, when in reality it's in my hand. My advice is save your money and either spend more money on a better quality machine or find some other method of storage.

I'm a PC repair tech and thought this would be great to store all my utility and diagnostic cd's. First one lived only long enough to load 50 CDs, which is very time consuming as you have to load each individually CD in your Computers CDROM in order for the CenturionCD software to catalog it. Buy.Com did a great job with the RMA, but the second one locked on startup. I did some surgery and brought it back to life. A big pain is that the software forgets you've removed CD. When you got to "check it in" it won't allow you to, then when you try to delete the cd from the Catalog it won't allow you to do that either, because it says the CD is checked in. Very poor software. Only thing I can give this is that it looks much cooler than other CD storage devices like books or towers.

I received the unit in a very short time and had very little trouble installing the hardware and software. The product is a little shy of documentation but I had no trouble installing it. I intended to use it with Movie Collector and found that it integrates with that software very well. The only negative is that the unit is a little noisy.

I had trouble with the expensive brand ... but enjoy Centurion CD ease of use.... Works great !
