3 of 5 Great for everything except video. Saturday, April 11, 2009 Troy Tabor from Andover, KS
This product worked great for a second screen to my laptop. But, whenever I tried to run video through it, and watch a show through Hulu or Media Player, it would freeze up. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works with Ubuntu Tuesday, March 17, 2009 A Customer from Springfield, Ohio
I bought this for my sister. Her machine is run Ubuntu, which doesn't always work with devices designed for windows. I was surprised that all I had to do was insert the disk reboot the machine and install was done in a few seconds. I was expecting to have to download a compatible Ubuntu driver. 5 of 5 Great Value Monday, March 09, 2009 A Customer from Irvington, NY
So far it seems to work fine and its fairly simple to set up and all. For 10 bucks I really can't complain. Nothing wrong with it really in terms of getting the job done. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product to connet wireless computers Sunday, November 16, 2008 pjerdos from Mercer, PA
I have 10 computers in my home & business location and I have now purchased 4 of these USB Lan adapters because I am so pleased with the ease of instulation; ease of use; reliability and signal strength. I have used other products, and prefer this wireless adapter over all others I have tried. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 sensitive! Monday, August 25, 2008 A Customer from daly city, ca.
I use the unit at the local library. One time their WiFi was down but I was able to pick up a (lower baud) signal 12 blocks away! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Friendly software Tuesday, August 05, 2008 R.C.E. from Pittsford, NY
I have bought two of these in two months. The setup is simple and the startup on boot is fast. The main thing I appreciate is that the software is much friendlier than a Belkin Wireless G MIMO USB adapter I bought previously, and seems to connect faster. Having a small USB device on a cable is an advantage because you can move it around a few feet to find a hot spot. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Did not include Vista drivers on CD Sunday, June 15, 2008 Robert from Elkhart, IN
I don't like writing bad reviews. This may even be my own fault. I guess I should have looked for a Vista compatible USB wireless adapter for my desktop. Figured because they offer Vista drivers on the website that it would work flawlessly. The CD did not contain drivers that Vista would use, a little bit of a pain when you need the wireless drivers to download them! Again, this is my fault, but I got it at a great price! 2 of 5 Wireless range is so so Tuesday, May 27, 2008 A Customer from New York
The connection speeds keep changing too often, up and down (like 54mps, 24mps, 18mps, 11mps, 5.5mps). I compare it with 3 different wireless devices like Zonet ZEW2500p wireless usb adapter, Parkervision Signalmax usb adapter and Hawking wireless 108G usb adapter. They have better range. I was knocked over by the size of the LevelOne WNC-0500USB MIMO Wireless USB Adapter. The unit is smaller than the palm of my hand. I put it in a shirt pocket and you could not tell it was there. It installed very easily, although I did have to update to and use the latest driver from the Window's library for MS XP/SP2. I was impressed with the performance of this little dynamo, in particular the on-board utilities. I have a Linksys WUSB54G adapter, the LevelOne WNC-0500USB MIMO Wireless USB adapter is substantially smaller, and this leads me to my only negative comment, the unit runs hot, a common problem with micro-sized electronic components. 5 of 5 Neat Gadget...works great Thursday, May 22, 2008 FabAl from Apple Valley, CA
This access point or wireless adapter works well and like the ease of connectivity. It's nice if you want a faster web search and who doesn't. backwards compatible USB 1.01. The range is stronger than older 802.11 /b models. I recommend this product highly even though I've only used for about a day. A little sceptical of this product. first to review it so far
can't be beat if I get my rebate. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Pretty good value for money Friday, April 18, 2008 A Customer from Columbus, OH
I got this USB adapter for my laptop because I was having issues with the wireless card on it. Since I use a shared community wireless network, this device is perfect because it picks the best available network and I don't have to worry about repositioning my laptop to catch the strongest signal. A simple way to attach this to a laptop would have made this perfect. Was this review helpful?
