5 of 5 Wow what a great deal - using it on a Mac Mini Wednesday, January 23, 2008

I just bought this monitor for my daughter to use on her Mac Mini - she is upgrading from an old style 19" LCD - she loves it. I have a Mac Pro with the 30" cinema display and while the Acer is not at this level it is light years ahead of her old monitor and costs less than one third the price of the Apple product. I have the brightness set at 95% - it came set at 90% - and 100% seems a little too bright. Other than the brightness the auto setup was perfect. Total time to setup the monitor was less than 5 minutes. If you only have $500 to invest in a monitor I would buy this over a higher end 22" or 24" display. While the packaging may not be as sexy as some of the more expensive displays the bigger working area and quality of the LCD is what really matters - at least to me. As usual Buy.com did a great job - I had the monitor in 3 days with free shipping.
