I have seldom been so enthusiastic about having to review (yet) another mouse as when we received the Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse. The MX Revolution might sound like marketing hype but it is a Revolution in more ways than one. There is in my opinion no better all-purpose mouse around!...read the full review

5 of 5 Logitech Rocks.... Tuesday, August 25, 2009
pw from baltimore MD

I have a number of Logitech accessories and they are fantastic. My last mouse was the the MX 1000 and it was the best at the time. When my son needed a new mouse the Revolution had just come out and that's what I bought him. He fell in love with it and I have too. I guess they have a great support team, although I've never had to contact them with a problem. I would refer them to anyone who asks.

5 of 5 Great product! Saturday, May 23, 2009
A Customer from Seattle, WA
This mouse works great. All the features advertised works after I installed the driver and a little configuration. I only use this mouse at home and for 1 to 2 hours a day, and a full charge lasts over 2 weeks.

5 of 5 Best mouse... ever... Monday, May 18, 2009
PUGBOY from Devon, PA
I had my Logitech MX 1000 for 5 years and it finally was time to put it out to pasture. The MX 1000 was the previous (general) best mouse in the world, and the MX Revolution is actually better! At first, the mouse seemed a little light, but the MX 1000 likely used older generation battery technology. I became comfortable with the lighter Revolution within hours. The free-spinning top "scroll wheel" must be experienced to truly understand how innovative it is. The amount of strain I get from scrolling has almost disappeared. Lastly, I am a PC gamer, and the Revolution, in my opinion, is also the best gaming mouse. It is effortless to use, wireless, the battery life is obscenely long, and 800 dpi is definitely high enough for any game. I play at 1920 x 1200 and 1920 x 1080, and the Revolution works magnificently.

4 of 5 Nice Mouse as expected from Logitech Wednesday, March 11, 2009
A Customer from Devils Lake, North Dakota
Overall comfortable mouse with a solid feel that works as anticipated. I have owned Logitech mice before this one and have always found them to be good performing input devices. Solid product that I would recommend to anyone willing to pay the price for a high end mouse.

Marcsomega from Makawao,HI
I have allways use a wireless mouse but this one is the best. The mouse is great. The scroll wheel is the best I have use. It is easy to use and it is fast. The mouse being rechargeable makes it that much beter. It has leds on the mouse that tells you when you need to recharge it. It is easy to program. Logitech did it right.

Absolutely love this mouse, maybe a bit on the spendy side, but works great! Totally sold on Logitech, have gone on to buy computer speakers, and Mom bought computer cam to talk with the niece and nephew, all the products are top notch.

5 of 5 Super Mouse Thursday, February 05, 2009
Randy from Tulsa, Okla.
I’ve been interested in cordless mice since their inception, but could never justify feeding batteries to a mouse. When I saw the MX with its rechargeable lithium-ion battery, its own charging (docking) station, sleek design and rich features I just couldn’t resist. The MX is a perfect fit to my hand while I enjoy the additional toggle wheel, hyper-scrolling and the internet search button. Button layout was well planned and provides intuitive control in my opinion. I have not experienced any charging problems, skips, delays or any downside to my purchase. The MX battery life also deserves a word of praise. My family gives our desktop and mouse hard use every day and the battery keeps delivering for almost two weeks. The charge might even last longer if we turned the mouse off at the end of each day, but it’s always on. The MX battery will charge from critically low to full charge in about an hour, sweet! SetPoint software performs flawlessly with our XP operating system as well. I would recommend the MX Revolution to anyone desiring to streamline several everyday computer tasks and willing to use the additional controls.

5 of 5 Just an amazing mouse Sunday, February 01, 2009
Sam L. from Boone, NC
This mouse is incredible! It's easy to use, comfortable, and every button can be programmed for a different function in a different program. The only downside is the Logitech software, which crashed on me a couple times while I was making those in-depth button settings. This mouse is a great piece of technology, and for $55 after a rebate it's much better than the $100 Staples offers it for. It seems silly to shell out so much for just a mouse, so unless you're really going to use all the buttons a lot every day (I use them frequently as replacements for keyboard shortcuts in the Adobe Creative Suite) I would not recommend this mouse to you. It's extremely comfortable and easy to use, but there are cheaper mice out there which are also very comfortable but with fewer buttons. Buy this mouse for productivity, and love it for its comfort and other features. The free-scrolling wheel is customizable - you can set it to always free-scroll or click-to-click scroll, or some combination of the two. I didn't like how it was set out-of-box, but if you're willing to spend a little while customizing it there's going to be a setting you'll like. EVERY BUTTON IS ENDLESSLY CUSTOMIZABLE. Range and battery life are great. The dock is small and unobtrusive and a full charge will give the mouse about 2 weeks of heavy use. It takes about an hour to fully charge from 20% remaining. Bottom line is that this is a great mouse, and you won't regret getting your hands on one. I'm a Logitech convert after buying this mouse.

5 of 5 The cooless mouse EVER! Saturday, January 31, 2009
Noel from Bloomfield, NJ
At first I didn't know how I would like the free wheeling scroll wheel, but now that I have it I LOVE it! I disabled the clicking feature all together and absolutely never miss it. Just spinning the wheel is so natural and fluid. Zip through long pages in a sec. The built in navigation buttons are great and very useful. The form factor is incredibly comfortable and natural. Rechargeable base station is cool and its great never to have to worry about batteries again. Side wheel is awesome for using the Vista flip feature, it actually makes it something that you can use for more than just showing off to your friends. Built in search button saves time, just highlight a word or phrase and it launches a separate tab with search results. Great Wireless range, works way better than my previous wireless mouse. Laser tracking is spot on. Not to mention the mouse looks cool as hell! Get this mouse you won't be disappointed plus Buy.com has a awesome price. Very Very Happy with it. Logitech always makes great products you can't go wrong.

4 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, January 27, 2009
A Customer from Chicago, IL
Great Product. I can't say anything about this hasn't already been said. Be aware, the set point software forgets some settings upon restart (program-specific click settings - it always defaults to specific click-combos for a set of programs, no matter how often you remove them from the list).

The price is worth it for this mouse. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. The wheel is a joy to use, and the added buttons make you work much faser than with a regular mouse.

5 of 5 Great mouse! Thursday, October 23, 2008
strgzr from Huntsville, AL
I bought this mouse upon the suggestion of one of my coworkers. I deal with large spreadsheets and Project, and the fast scrolling on this works wonders for me! I would definitely recommend this. The only thing I would like to do is make the Search button a wheel-click, but I might be missing something.

3 of 5 Good while it lasted... Monday, October 13, 2008
A Customer from New York NY
Bought in June semi-broken in Oct. The good: frictionless wheel works wonders. Great battery life. I had the other laser "gaming" mouse from Logitech that comes with TWO batteries and had to charge and swap every other hour. This mouse just goes days and days without charging. The Bad: frictionless wheel no longer frictionless. The buttons require more stressful click. My hand/fingers/wrist get really stressful after couple of hours using/clicking the mouse. Love the buttons on those G7 mice. Wish I could have both. The wheel from this one and the buttons from G7. Too bad it's only a rightie's mouse cuz I use my left hand frequently when my right hand gets stressful using the mouse.

4 of 5 great mouse but bad autoscroll Saturday, October 04, 2008
Brad from New Berlin, WI
Its a nice comfortable mouse, great sensitivity when turned up, and easily customizable buttons. However, when I was in a 72 page pdf with all text and let the auto-scroll goes, it started to scroll up. Just turned it off and is an awesome mouse

5 of 5 Great Mouse at a Great Price Tuesday, September 09, 2008
Daryl from Oswego, N.Y.
I purchased this mouse a few months ago from Buy.com to replace my MX 700 and have been satisfied with its overall performance. Logitech has always been on the cutting edge of mouse technology and this MX Revolution is proof of that! I've found it to be a little less flexible than my old mouse but that is due to the Revolutions more precise laser tracking.(It's definitely not a gamers mouse). Many good features, I especially like the free wheeling scroll, and comfortable in the hand. This is a great mouse at the BEST price I've found on the web. I recommend it to anyone as a daily user.

5 of 5 Sublime Sweetness Tuesday, July 29, 2008
A Customer from Edmonds, WA
Have been supremely happy with this mouse. Super smooth and very accurate. No issues with BT. Switching between click and smooth scrolling is a breeze. Having to use a mouse without the weighted wheel now is a total drag. Battery life is very impressive. I never remember to turn it off at the end of the day and it is still able to go weeks in between having to return it to the charging cradle. On that note, very quick charge, as well. I'm sure there are those that won't care for this mouse, but I suspect most would find it very appealing.

5 of 5 Great Mouse Wednesday, July 16, 2008
Bill from Smyrna, GA
I spend most of my day using AutoCAD, so a good mouse is a must for me. This mouse is very comfortable in your hand, has plenty of buttons that you can program and customize, and the scroll wheel is amazing. The purchase price was a bit high but if you can get past that, you will not be disappointed.

4 of 5 So good I even brought it to work... Friday, July 04, 2008
Mike Li from Fountain Valley, CA
The best thing I liked about this mouse is actually its ergonomics. Its more sculpted to fit in the right hand than most other mouses and is therefore much more comfortable for right-handed users (sorry lefties... although i rarely see people using mouses with their left-hand, even if they are a left-handed person...) anyway, the scroll wheel is the 2nd best thing about this mouse... since the scroll wheel can scroll through long documents, it's the perfect companion for doing spreadsheets :) and the side scrolling is a major plus too. the only drawback is that it costs a considerable amount of money... For some users, this mouse may be a tad too small.. as large hands can easily cover this relatively large mouse (which tells you something about the mouse makers in general, doesn't it) anyway, this mouse is great if you can spare the cash :)

5 of 5 good mouse Tuesday, June 24, 2008
A Customer from new york, ny
I can not say it's the best mouse I had because I am using this front-end technology equipment in a linux system and the features are not installed. Thus no fast scrolling :(. however the stand is realy cool and so far ( 2 weeks ) the mouse is flawless. the only con I can say is the new design. Because the mouse is rather large when I hold the mouse with my right hand I am forced to use my middle finger to scrool. Using the traditional mice, I have always used my point finger to do left clicking as well as scrolling. Thus this is a new experience for me. Not so annoying though. Overall it's a decent purchase considering the rebate from logitech. PS: hasn't run out of battery but I always put it back to charge itself at the end of the day. hope it doesn't run out of battery after a year. you will see it here if it does.

5 of 5 Excellent Mouse Sunday, June 22, 2008
A Customer from Scotch Plains, NJ
Mouse meets and exceeds my expectations. A roommate of mine had originally purchased one and when I found the right price (with mail-in rebate of course) I picked it up. It took some time to adjust the settings and actions on the mouse to my liking, but once I got it using it has been a breeze. I love the smooth scroll feature and the battery life on the mouse. Very ergonomic feel to it as well.

5 of 5 Great mouse lots of features, comfort, control, an Sunday, June 22, 2008
A Customer from Riverside, CA
What a mouse! Easy to use, set up, lots of options and settings to personalize your experience with it that can make it unique to every application. I have never used a better mouse and would highly recommend it to others. If used for more than a full day of work, be sure to charge it as it will go through a charge in 10 hours or so... but other than that, no problems at all. Highly Recommended! Also, was able to order with lowest price shipping and still received it in a day and a half from when ordered! Great work Buy.com

4 of 5 A great product...but not without a few flaws Friday, June 20, 2008
A Customer from CA
Let me start off my review by saying this is by far the most convenient mouse that I've ever used for daily day-to-day activities. The level of customization included in the software is simply amazing, and it is compatible with vista 64bit. That said, there are a few quirks that still annoy me that I know other users are having problems with. Namely when you try to map the second quick-flip scroll wheel along where the thumb is there are a few glitches. When they are mapped to do anything involving the "ctrl+" function the ctrl button sometimes gets stuck. This can be quite annoying and so far the only way to get the ctrl button "unstuck" is to hold it down for a few seconds. Besides this though it's a great product that greatly maximized my productivity.

5 of 5 Nice Mouse Tuesday, June 17, 2008
A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
A perfect mouse for everyday use; might not be as useful for gaming. Lock/free spin scrolling and document switching are a bit hard to get used to. Haven't used the auto-search button much. Can transmit signal to over 10 ft away. Smooth and responsive handling. A bit pricey w/o discounts & rebate.

Took some getting used to (maybe because I had been using another mouse for three years straight), but overall a very nice mouse. Keeps a charge for a long time. I play games with it, and I love surfing the internet with the auto scroll feature.

5 of 5 Wow...wotta deal, wotta mouse!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Ron D. Durham from Rossville, GA
I replaced my ailing corded mouse with this sweet baby, and I haven't looked back at all. It's all you could want in a mouse; fast response, great reception, no batteries (charges in its own little docking station), and smooth overall performance, and with the rebate, the price was super-sweet. I'd advise going out to ww.logitech.com and downloading and installing the latest version of the Setpoint software as it allows you to customize the wheels & clicks, and it also resides in the taskbar where one pass over the icon will tell you the charge status of the mouse. One caveat: you'll need to remember to turn the mouse off on the bottom before you dock it. Other than that, all I have to say is this...baby, where you been all my life?

4 of 5 Mehh Monday, June 16, 2008
A Customer from Manhattan, KS
Don't let my head line fool you. I do like the mouse. However, I've had a few software problems such as the scroll wheel changing from always free spin to click stops on its own. For some reason it also scrolls up in larger increments than down when on free spin mode. Newer versions of the software have helped reduce this effect.

4 of 5 Great mouse, avoid the drivers. Monday, June 16, 2008
A Customer from Plaistow NH
The only weakness of this mouse is the driver CD. The driver software on the CD is horrendous, and causes hangs in the mouse tracking. However, if you simply don't install it, the mouse works great, and is very smooth. Very comfortable to use, but takes a short period of getting used to.

5 of 5 nice fancy mouse Monday, June 16, 2008
A Customer from colorado springs, co
nice mouse with lots of functions (still have yet to use all of them). I've had to recharge the mouse after three weeks of use, but good thing it's got a lithium battery. I was hoping it would be designed so I didn't have to use a wrist pad with it, but I still do. It was shipped super fast to me and I'm happy I got it.

Mamdouh from Los Angeles, CA
I love this product. It is pretty good. Compact and easy to use. I recommend to the company a left handed mouse for the left handed folks out there. This way they will get more customers. The mouse can be used for presentation as a clicker or presenter. Tested on more than 30 feet, and just perfect

5 of 5 Buyer Beware: No Replacement Batteries offered off Tuesday, May 27, 2008
beepover from Boston, Ma
I was going to buy this, but I have 2 G-7 Mouses and they are great. Except there are no replacement LI-ION batteries for the mouses sold anywhere including the Logitech Website redering them useless after a year. The batteries hardly hold a charge after a year. The Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse mouse will have the same issue in a year or so. The website does not have replacement batteries, I just checked. Logitech Must do this on purpose to get you to buy a new mouse. Be prepared to buy a new mouse in a year after the batterie life starts to go down hill. I have two great Logitech G-7 sitting at home useless. Also the website does sale G-7 are on sale, but they have never been in stock. I call up every month or so and they are never in stock, and never have been as far as I am concerned.

1 of 5 Lousy Customer Service Tuesday, May 27, 2008
KM from Bethlehem, Pa
Bought one for the office. It quit working. Did online reset procedure - no joy. Called customer service. Finally got a tech who told me an "undocumented" procedure that worked. Advance two months or so - dead again. Tried tech support. No joy and since it was right after Christmas, no replacements in stock currently and I would get one in a couple of weeks when back in stock. Two+ months later no mouse so back to tech support. "We were waiting for you to call after they were in stock" - like I could sense their inventory levels. In meantime my wife bought me one for Christmas - DOA with iMac. Tech support suggests bad laser or receiver. Except this time I was supposed to send back the bad one at my expense and then they would decide whether or not to replace. Not a great attitude on a brand new unused product to slap the customer in the face particularly when the first MX was simply shipped directly. I would have even considered a cross shipment. Now I am back to using the Mac mouse and am vastly disappointed with Logitech and their policies. I should have written down the undocumented procedure (my bad).

5 of 5 The real MightyMouse Monday, May 26, 2008

The best mouse I've ever used. I just love the quick scroll. Recharges very quickly and it lasts about 6 to 7 days for me as I do click alot. If I see another rebate and sale price, I'll get another for our Mac household. Logitech comes through again.

5 of 5 Excellent mouse! Friday, May 16, 2008
A Customer from Buena Park CA
I bought it for around $40 after rebate. For this price, it is unbeatable. I like the flexibility to be able to program it to fit your need. It is fast for everyday use. I was hoping the battery would last longer than 2 weeks, however, with typical usage. But I am happy with this mouse.

4 of 5 Perfect mouse if don't install included software Monday, May 12, 2008
A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
the mouse itself is great and comfortable... the wheel is perfect.. but software is not the best - sometimes it acts weird, it doesn't give u the full control over the mouse... but overall, if you don't use software, if you try this mouse, i never want to use something else, like bmw :)

5 of 5 Great mouse! Sunday, May 11, 2008

I didn't think getting a new mouse would make a difference but this is really a great product. The laser tracks much better than optical types. You don't need a pad. There is no restriction from a cord. All of the programmable buttons are awesome.
