1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 GREAT if from Singapore Friday, July 24, 2009 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
The 2.4x Verbaitms made in Singapore (look near the UPC barcode for the "made in..." statement) are great, the best ever, never a bad burn and even at DL can be burned at 4x. BEWARE the Verbatim 8x DL's sold in the big box stores and warehouse clubs for much less. They are made in India and they are garbage.

I've used over 200 verbatim dl discs and I had only one bad write. That one bad write might as well been a hardware or software glitch, I mean this thing is perfect. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Verbatim DL Media is Boss.. Wednesday, March 04, 2009 Robert D from CT
This is the third time I've bought Verbatim 2.4X DL media from Buy.com. My NEC 3500AG DL DVD burner requires this particular brand for successful DL burning. I've never burnt a coaster with Verbatim brand media and that translates to money saved. To anyone reading this review, always read the white papers on your particular brand DVD burner you own and read up on the exact DL media you need to buy for it. If you buy some particular off brand media, you will probably have an unsuccessful burn. DVD DL burners have two specific burning temps unique them and that means you need to purchase the correct media for those burning temps. If you follow theses instructions, you'll never burn a coaster.
Thanks Buy.com
Your prices on Verbatim DL media are the lowest I've seen anywhere on the internet. Was this review helpful?

So far, no problems with these discs. Very satisfied!!! Wished they were cheaper, but you get what you pay for, and in this case you're getting good quality dvds. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good but not cheap Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Dave W from Virginia Beach
I've had no problems so far (I've used 2 of the DVD's). They are a bit more expensive than 4.7 gig DVD's, but are a lot more convenient. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 first timer... Monday, October 13, 2008 A Customer from New Jersey
..at burning DVDs, either single or double layer. No prior experience to base it on therefore I bought these because of reviews that I read. No problems whatsoever. All discs burned well, no coaster factory. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Pricey Discs, pretty reliable Wednesday, August 06, 2008 Bruce Cohen from New York New York
So far, only 1 coaster out of a 20 pack. I guess, you could call that pretty reliable.
These Dual layer discs cost a lot more than 2 regular 4.3 gig discs.
So they are not a great value deal. But, putting 8 gigs of data onto 1 disc is good when u have a lot of data to back up. These 2.4X Dual layer discs burned in 12 minutes using an internal Superdrive on an Intel Mac Pro. Not bad speed!!
I have also used TDK brand, which seem also to be pretty reliable. I read some reviews stating the VERBATIM are a bit higher quality. But, I also read that the VERBATIM discs coming from India are poorer quality. I took a chance on buying these from Buy.com.
The labelling on these Verbatim from Buy.com state that they came from Singapore. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best all around,especially for 360 games Friday, July 11, 2008 MA573RM1ND from Gadsden, AL
Flawless burning if you use the ones made in Singapore such as I did. I even used a cheap laptop burner to burn the 360 games and they turned out 100% Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Best DL media out there... Wednesday, November 28, 2007 smak from Irvine, CA
Verbatim have consistently produced the best discs for burning DL DVDs. I've never had a coaster with these, and the media (once burned) has high reliability and can be read on all the drives i use it in. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 best compatibility Tuesday, March 13, 2007 A Customer from Grapevine, Texas
These DL disks by Verbatim are the only DL media that I've found which reliably play error-free on EVERY standalone DVD player, even the really cheap players. Buying them in the quantity 20 spindle is the best value for the money if you want to make perfect DVDs which play in any player. Was this review helpful?
