I originally ordered two and only recieved one when shipped, but I emailed them and after a few questions (via email) they sent me the 2nd one to complete the order. I have several of these flash drives and use them all the time to share my pictures with others & use in my digital frame. They work great, the price was right and the vendor followed through with completing the order after their mistake. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Average product and value Tuesday, September 09, 2008 Ken from McDonough, Georgia
This is just an average product at an average price. But since the shipping was free it was easier than a trip to the local computer discount house and of course no sales tax. If you have to pay shipping it would be a poor value. When it is available with free shipping, I would recommend the product. Was this review helpful?

This Kingston 2GB DataTraveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive is perfect. It is simple to use, fast, and doesn't come preloaded with a bunch of unnecessary utility software that I've found often confounds users who switch between Mac and PC computers. I was pleasantly surprised to find nothing extra when I connected the device--just an empty DOS formatted volume ready to begin using. I would highly recommend this device to anyone, especially at the price I paid (about $7). The cap even attaches to the other end of the device when in use so it won't get lost--nice touch. 1 of 5 Great price; great piece Tuesday, July 15, 2008 A Customer from Outside of Philly, PA
I barely had this jump drive 24 hours after I had put it on my keyring. The jump drive keyring hole broke. 2GB for $12 is great but I wanted something that I could put on my keyring so it would always be with me. Poor design. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great, holds a lot. Monday, July 14, 2008 Don from Evergreen, CO
It was instantly recognized by my computer, and works flawlessly. Seems quite fast relative to my older generation 512 meg drive which may have been USB1. No problems, and it is a slim design that fits easily even right next to another USB Device on close spaced slots. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great! Thursday, July 10, 2008 Matt from Binghamton, NY
Bought this flash drive to mainly use with the Philips DVD player that supports USB. I transfer video files onto the drive from my computer and then plug the flash drive into the dvd player and it works great! No complaints at all! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Kingston rules Tuesday, July 08, 2008 A Customer from Pride, LA
I purchased two of these sticks. I previously purchased a Kingston about 2 years ago and it has worked great. The new sticks are smaller in size and easier to plug in. The only problem has been that on one of them the key chain slot broke. The plastic loop is thin and apparently fragile. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent flash drive Saturday, June 28, 2008 A Customer from Rochester, NY
Easy to use, fast. No problem up to now.
The cap isn't very tight(maybe different from one to another). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works as advertised Saturday, June 28, 2008 A Customer from Los Angles, California
Since receiving it a couple of weeks ago, it has performed as I had expected...easy to use, no surprises, so far, so good. The removable cap can be a nuisance, but not a big deal. It's not the only USB plug I have that's "naked" most of the time. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Pretty good for the price Tuesday, May 27, 2008 A Customer from Fairmont, MN
I bought four of them for people in my office. They seem to work pretty well. I had some problems with some older computers (+4 years old). The XP would install the driver, but I couldn't see it as a drive. But for the newer computers in the office, it worked great. For the price, I couldn't find a better deal. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good value for money Tuesday, May 27, 2008 Vertica B Sawhney from Atlanta, GA
I have been using this flash drive for sometime and it works really well. My husband also uses it on a regular basis. It's fast and hence transfers data (bulky files which my husband uses for his consulting...they are just too huge to descibe here) very quickly. We just love the product at the price it was offered to us. I highly appreciate this product! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Kingston 2GB Sunday, May 18, 2008 D.J. from Natchitoches, Louisiana
I purchased this primarily because it was made by Kingston and the price was right ($10). No regrets, at this price I don't expect any. Great value, even if the shipping's a little pricey. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Value Saturday, May 17, 2008 CharCol from Colchester, Vermont
The Kingston 2GB DataTraveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive, so far, has met my expectations.
I especially like the fact that it has a protective cap as opposed to a retractable USB plug. I feel the cap provides better protection against lint and dust etc.. It may be on the slow side for data transfer, but that is not an issue for me.
In my case, I use it to backup my photo files.

1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Simply Amazing! Wednesday, May 14, 2008 A Customer from Mahopac, New York
To transport files, I used to use blank CD's. But it always took SO LONG and half the time it wouldn't work. I decided that it was time to switch to these new flash drives. I thought 20 dollars for two gigs at staples wasn't really worth it so I went on buy.com to see what they had. Usually I thought overstock.com and buy.com products were crappy and defective. But my friend told me that Kingston made great products and at 10 dollars, I couldn't lose much. When I got it, I plugged it in and it was GREAT! I didn't have to go through any program or fancy crap to upload the file. All I did was copy the file and paste it in the flashdrive icon. I had big files to upload that were about 100MBs. That took less than 30 secounds because it writes 6MBs per a secound. This thing is a dream come true! BTW, to get the free shipping and handeling, you have to click on the 7-9 days shipping option, not the 1-3 days. Was this review helpful?

I've had my 2 GB DataTraveler jump drive for a couple weeks now and I've been happy with my purchase.
Pros:
1. It has a small profile, making it easy to plug and unplug when the USB drives are stacked (like on my laptop).
2. The data transfer speeds are fast - it took about 10 seconds to transfer 500 MB.
3. I don't have to stop the drive when I unplug it.
4. High-capacity
5. White and green color makes it easy to find among papers or in a large bag.
6. No extra software (which I don't want anyways).
Cons:
1. Not as inexpensive as other 2GB jump drives - but I've used Kingston in the past and found them to be reliable and well-crafted.
This was a very satisfying purchase and I recommend this to anyone who needs to hold larger amounts of data. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Can't Beat It For The Price Wednesday, October 04, 2006 SaCCaL72 from Philadelphia, PA
I have had this Kingston thumb drive for about a month now and it has worked flawlessly. I use it for storing everything. Easy to use, quick data transfers, and it is easy to just stick in your pocket. For the price it was worth it, but with the rebate that was offered at the time on top of it, it was unresistable. I recommend this Drive if you are in the market for one. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love it!! Thursday, July 27, 2006 NS from New York, NY

5 of 5 Awesome performance in a space package. Saturday, July 08, 2006 A Customer from St. Louis, MO
This is the memory stick to be beat. Great performance, durable case, and huge storage size. Highly recommend this memory stick, in fact, I just purchased a second one. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 It ROCKS! Monday, June 19, 2006 Dusty Baker from Waldport, Or.
The perfect solution to "sneakerware" needs around the office and at home. Plenty of room for anyting you need to store or shuttle. My first one was a DataTraveler 512M, and now I'm stepping up to the 2GB because I learned how I can't afford to be without this marvelous jewel.
Yes it is bare bones, and so is a floppy disk or external HD for that matter. But guess what? IT WORKS and IT WORKS GREAT!
Kingston has on-line support so this gem will also work with Win'98SE.
BUY IT. Buy them for for friends. They'll love you for it and you can't go wrong! Was this review helpful?

5 of 6 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great Product Thursday, May 04, 2006 elementalcobalt from Kenosha wisconsin
A nice cheap flash drive for anyone who wants it. No software on it that you wll probably end up deleting or at least never using. Lightweight, but doesn't feel as cheap as some other flash drives tend to, feels like there is actually some meat to it. Smaller than the flash drives i am used to, not a mini, but still smaller than a standard. Nice rubber grippings on the side and a sturdy cap that stays on.
Only real complaint is that when in use, you can attach the cap to the drive, so you can lose that real easy if you don't pay attention. Besides that, great value you for your money. Was this review helpful?

LED is inconveniently located near the USB connection rather than on the end away from the USB connection, so it is difficult to see activity light when it is in use. Don't expect any software or extras on the unit...it is bare bones. Was this review helpful?
