The P910 makes handling e-mails and web browsing on a breeze thanks to the wide choice of input methods. For example, the new thumb keyboard on the inside of the flip is particularly useful for writing longer e-mails; the five-way Jog Dial is ideal for navigating the phone’s functions or browsing the web; whereas the natural handwriting with stylus on the large colour touchscreen and software keyboard are valuable tools for short SMS messages, taking notes, or adding a new contact or meeting.

Gaining access to e-mail services and handling messages is hassle-free, enabling users to make the most of the extensive e-mail services the P910 supports. The P910 can just as easily be part of a secure corporate IT network, or used by individuals to receive their private e-mail. Sony Ericsson is collaborating with a wide range of e-mail providers, which makes the P910 the perfect e-mail platform, as in addition to Smartner it also supports IBM, Extended Systems, Visto, RIM BlackBerry, Seven and IntelliSync.

New capabilities such as web browsing, e-mailing, PDA and a range of entertainment options puts more demand than ever on the phone’s available user memory. Sony Ericsson has taken this into account and expanded the internal memory from 16MB to 64MB and included a 32MB Memory Stick Duo in the box. The P910 supports up to 1GB Memory Stick Duo Pro, creating almost endless possibilities to store and share images, video, music and business data.

The P910 is based on Symbian OS v7.0, the world’s most popular operating system for smartphones, and the successful UIQ user interface which is based on Symbian OS. As a result P910 offers the widest possible selection of applications on any smartphone available today. Works on any GSM network, unlocked handset, Cingular and T-Mobile for North America

5 of 5 Sony/Ericsson P910A Smartphone Friday, July 13, 2007
Bob Cannon from Long Beach CA

I have enjoyed this phone for nearly two years. I really appreciated the easy use features and its vast array of applications. At the year mark, I began experiencing the phone turning off in the middle of calls. This happened if the phone was hand held or connected to the bluetooth. I am currently looking for a replacement.

4 of 5 Very good but bluetooth compliance is misleading Friday, December 30, 2005
A Customer from Maryland
This is a good value for the money. The bluetooth does not work well with Acura HFL. I had to switch off/on everytime I step into the car. Even then it works about 50% of the time. If u care abt bluetooth with handsfree profile, then this is NOT the one for you. Other features are very good.

5 of 5 Awesome Phone!! Great Service by Buy.com Friday, December 09, 2005
Satisfied Customer from Boston MA
A friend recommended this phone. I can't thank him enough. I can't believe I denied myself the pleasure of such technology for so long. Since purchasing this phone, I have become a lot more efficient. I sync up my task list and never forget a thing. I think the best part is the sound quality of the sound, the music I can play and ease of use. Buy.com had the best price for this phone. The order arrived a little later than I expected but everything was intact and the shipping was free. So, I really can't complain.

5 of 5 Very nice smartphone Wednesday, October 26, 2005
A Customer from Honolulu, Hawaii
I am very satisfied with this phone. It has the PDA functions I needed and more. As a phone, it also works great. The pictures are not super, but they are not too bad either. I have a separate digital camera so this is not so important for me and I do not believe it will be worth paying hundredths more for the new model (with a 2 mega pixel camera). The music player has a great sound with the earphones. The only disappointing feature is that if you try to use the flip keyboard as the only input (for example with Quicksheets) you cannot. At some point, you will need to use the stylus. This may be a concern if your screen starts malfunctioning (I had a problem like that with an HP PDA and that is why I was looking for something with alternative input methods). The flip keyboard is really small but you can still type OK. Using the screen keyboard with the stylus is much faster though. Based on other reviews, I was also initially concerned about connectivity with the PC. My first connection was a little difficult (I probably did something wrong the first time) but there is really no problem with it. The connection with the PC (through the cable) works great. I have not tried the bluetooth features or connecting to the internet (not willing to pay for that yet) so I cannot comment on it. Finally, I was a little bit skeptical about why the price in Buy.com was about $50 lower than anywhere else. I had never bought from them before. However, my experience has been great so far. I received the product in perfect conditions and the shipping was fast. Overall, I consider this a great purchase for the $410 I paid, when compared to the other options I had available (and now is $5 dollars cheaper.) I had recently changed my phone plan so I could not upgrade the phone at a discounted price with the carrier, which made this product more competitive.

5 of 5 THE BEST OUT THERE Tuesday, October 18, 2005
aluthgedara from devon, PA
i have been using this phone for about a month now, all i can tell is i never used anything like this before. good graphis, user friendly, good softwares, nice sounds, light etc everything u look for in a smart phone. the camara is OK but not good as the latest versions. i had no problem synchronising. proform better than even expected. i have been reading some reviews i don't know how they ran in to those conclusions but i never had any of those problems. i highly recomend this product. enjoy it.

5 of 5 The 910 kicks serious BUTT!! Monday, October 17, 2005
intenseflipper from Denver, Co
Being a former P800 owner, I upgraded to this mainly for fun. I own an XDAII as well which I love. The P910a is a nice improvement over the P800. It's not as bulky, brighter screen, easier to use numeric buttons for dialing(flip up), serious memory stick abilities(1GB), excellent spkr phone, not built as cheezy as the P800. Engineers did some serious thinking because this phone is more user friendly than the P800. Access everything from the jog wheel with your thumb(Best feature about the phone). This is great while in the car. No need to open flip and use stylus all the time. Huge improvement on stylus which does not mysteriously disappear like the P800. Features like playing full length DVD movies(memstick), MP3's(This time without Sony proprietary programs like Sonicstage) IM with major service providers, PDF's, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, internet & email(easy setup thru Ericsson web support page), mini usable keyboard inside flip, bluetooth(which is much better than the P800--much faster and seems to work with other brand headsets very well...ie Motorola HS850(excellent combo since both never die early). Uses the same battery as the P800, not that you need additional batteries with the huge talk time. I actually get 12-13Hrs with very heavy usage. Thats unheard of. I'm lucky to get 4Hrs on my XDAII daily. Downsides.....virtual keypad is very small like the P800, no EDGE TECH(High speed internet with T-Mo and Cingular, basic VGA camera, stock leather case is below par, not to mention that no one makes a good leather case for it. Someone should make one like the RAZR 2 piece. Processor speed is a bit slow compared to my Pocket PC phone. Just being picky!!!! Get one, you won't be dissapointed!!!

5 of 5 Phenomenal product Monday, October 10, 2005
manhattanchicago from Chicago, IL
if you use cell phone, gprs, PDA,mp3 player, camera, recorder and want bluetooth connectivity heres something which achieves it in one stroke.THIS IS THE ONE. Sound quality and functionality as well as ease of use is AMAZING - if you consider the ease of use, advanced functions and pricing of buying each functionality separately you can justify this price easily. Don't bother to look at other products. Keep up the good work Sony!

5 of 5 Best price anywhere and better than Treo 650 Wednesday, September 28, 2005
Hellomoto_25 from Park City, UT
First of all, I couldn't find a better price. SE website = 499.99, Ebay = forget it (used and who knows what else), buy.com = $421.30 SHIPPED FEDEX 2nd DAY. I just bought this (SE P910a) and the TREO 650 and there is no question which is superior. The T650 has buggs galore and just doesn't cut it. T650 is going back. I use an iBook and the P910a syncs no problem. Which for a MAC user is PRICELESS. Upon trying to use iSYNC the first time my P910a prompted me to install the software which it then completed 100% on its own. Like it was just waiting for its new friend. If your a MAC user this is your phone. SE will most likely come out with a new model some time next year Q2 w/WIFI but we won't see it for a while here in the US if at all (850 mhz). If your a PC user than maybe go for the TREO 700 running Windows that was just announced but get ready to break your bank. For the price and quality nothing comes close and I've gone through a lot of phones trying to get where I am now. RAZR V3, Sony Ericsson S710a, Nokia 6682, TREO 650 and FINALLY the Sony Ericsson P910a. Home sweet home.

4 of 5 The Botom Line Monday, September 26, 2005
A Customer from Minneapolis, MN
I have always wanted an "all in one" device for the past couple of years. Untill now I had a cell phone (sony ericsson t610) and a pocket pc. I had never really liked carring around 2 devices and because I am in law school as well as working I needed a good calander as well as a good phone. After having the p910a for about one month I can say it truely does it all. Personally, I wanted the P910a as opposed to the Palm treo 650 b/c I have read several times that the treo: 1) doesn't have the best talk quality 2) the battery life is't all that long (the p910 is much better here) 3) the treo 650 is a memory eater 4) PRICE!!! The bottom line with the p910a is it is a great phone. The calader synch's up with my powerbook via bluetooth without any problems as does my contacts and to-do's. The speaker on the phone is AMAZING and the display couldn't possibly be much better. The battery life for the phone is about 2-3 days depending on how often I use it and if I have the bluetooth on. With the good come the bad, The software for the phone isn't as good as I had hoped- espically the mapping software. One of the reasons I bought this phone was because I thought I could go out and pick up a bluetooth gps reciever. Sadly this won't be so easy. As it terns out the maps are just for europe and there a wide selection of other maps for the P910a. Over all they could have made the user interface a little more user friendly. However, Handy-day (thrid party software) will get the job done if you want a little more than the stock p910a has to offer. I think the p910a is about 60% phone and 40 % PDA. I would have like a little more PDA, but being able to listen to mp3's along with a good calander makes this device a winner for me

1 of 5 worst company and service and pricing Monday, September 05, 2005
nupe from al, 35216
okay people i bought this phone off here for $445 and this phone is no better than the p800 i had before..now buy.com has gone higher on the price to $505.99..generally a good phone for someone who has never used the sony line but advise not to buy this at this price if you already own a p800 or p900..if you have to buy this then go the ericsson website or call customer service cause their price is $499 which is cheaper than buy.com..or go to comp-u-plus which has phone for $449..buy.com just hike up their prices once they get one review which i feel is unfair to customers...nice phone overall but returning for a refund..

5 of 5 Fantastic Phone Monday, June 20, 2005
Viks from Miramar, FL
WOW. I was really amazed by this phone. I previously had the Sony Ericsson P800 and after 2 years of using that I decided to upgrade to the P910a and what a greta choice I made. This phone is simply amazing, the screen quality is perfect and it has everything you would ever need in a phone. Although its a bit pricey I still feel its worth the investment. You would not need another phone for many years after buying this one. Well done Sony !!!
