5 of 5 Essential Equipment Wednesday, August 19, 2009 A Customer from Nelson, NH
I live in a rural area, last house on the power line, with an auto-switch backup generator, all of which mean frequent power dips and surges, never mind what happens during storms. Even with good surge protectors, electronic equipment occasionally got fried. After installing an APC voltage regulator for the computer and peripherals several years ago along with a heavy-duty surge protector, no more damage. When the first VR failed during a major storm (equipment and SP were all fine), APC replaced it as it was within the guarantee period. Bought additional ones from buy.com and now have two on computer system as well as one on entertainment center. No more cooked circuits or damaged SPs to date. As far as I'm concerned these voltage regulators are worth every penny and I wouldn't be without them. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 APC Line R 1200 Power Conditioner Monday, December 15, 2008 Radiorara from Vienna, Va
I bought 2 of these recently and really love the heft and build quality of them. These are very robust and have a heavy duty 3 prong grounding cord attached to them. These are perfect for computers, tv's, vcr, dvd and all small electronics that can be susceptible to power disturbances. I use APC battery backups and these are a perfect companion to those as well, especially older models without avr. These are much cheaper than competitive models from Tripp-Lite and others. 1200VA is enough for most setups but these are cheap so one could always buy 2 if needed. They will keep your equipment protected from the undesirable surges, spikes, emi/rfi noise and smooth out the rough power to a more desirable curve. I Have noticed that it does do a decent job to keep the occasional over voltages in my home to normal and it has never beeped telling me that it cannot correct something. Get some of these for your home, give them as gifts, these are cheap protection for your expensive equipment and will prevent downtime and costly repairs. Believe me when something happens it is too late. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. God Bless!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Well Built Saturday, November 29, 2008 Mark from North Dakota
I got this in the mail and WOW it is heavy. Very impressed with the quality of it. When I opened it box it had a note on it saying that it had be inspected for about seven different things/ tests and then had a signature of the person who inspected it right on the note. Hand written! :)
Works great so far. No complaints. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 I have 10 of these in use...they are great! Saturday, April 12, 2008 Terry from Green Bay, WI
The LE1200 is a great line conditioner. I have 10 of these in use for various home electronic/theatre applications (projectors, LCD TVs, computers, powered subwoofers, receivers/HDtuners/DVRs/etc.). Very reasonable price for the same protection that others provide for hundreds of dollars more, excellent voltage boost/cut response and a very usable outlet configuration. These are a "must do" for stable voltage anywhere, and they are even more important if you are in a rural power situation.
APC has excellent customer service also. I had one fail (actually "protect my equipment") during the 2 year warranty period, and they cross shipped a replacement out to me right away, telling me to send my failed unit to them in the replacement box...no temporary charge to my credit card...no shipping charge for the new unit...just my postage to ship the failed unit back to them (<$5). Nothing but trust for their customer and excellent customer service all the way...something that I don't find too often these days.
Highly recommended! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Device for Secure Power Delivery Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Plano, Texas
I originally bought one of these power conditioners/surge supressors on the recommendation of an engineer I know who explained that daily power spikes and dips are dangerous to tvs and computers, and that a surge supressor alone does nothing to filter the daily delivery of power to these items. So far this line conditioner has not disappointed.
I have seen the front lights go up and down when the power shifts, so I know it's doing it's job. If you do have a power surge, you can reset the front button and it's back to normal.
I have three, one on each HDTV I own and I think it is helping keep them functioning well.
One note, this conditioner is NOT for things with AC/DC alternating current like refrigerators or anything that varies it's own current. Just for electronics which require constant current.
