| | | Back up safely, protect your family from injury and tragic accidents, and avoid damage to your vehicle and costly repairs with this back up sensor from Audiovox. The sensors transmit invisible ultrasonic waves that bounce back from stationary or moving objects as the vehicle is backing up. When your vehicle comes within 7 feet of these objects - parked cars, stanchions, driveway toys, and yes, sometimes people - a loud progressive alert sounds from an audio unit inside the vehicle. As the vehicle gets closer, the alert beeps faster.

5 of 5 Great Value Thursday, September 10, 2009 A Customer from Gaston, Indiana
The backup warning systey is very easy to install and very helpful to use. I bought two and both work great. The cigarette lighter receiver was an added bonus that was not expected but allows for the easy transfer of the system from vehicle to vehicle. Was this review helpful?

With the included cigarette lighter plug in beeper, you can install this thing in less than 10 minutes. Works good, and I did zero complicated wiring. Plug and play. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Audiovox backup sensor Wednesday, September 09, 2009 Jim from North Augusta, SC
I bought this unit because I recently backed into my wife's van. My pickup has a backup camera but no audio sensor to alert me of objects getting close. Buy.com had this unit priced significantly less than retail and for the price I thought it was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. It appears to be of good quality workmanship and is a snap to install if you already have the std 7 pin tow pkg hookup on your vehicle. If not a kit is included. You have the option of plugging an included receiver into your cigarette lighter or hardwire a speaker into your ignition wire. I chose the easy route and used the cigarette lighter. The sensor is accurate and starts to beep within 7 ft of an object and continuously when within 3 ft. I couldn't be happier with this product. Was this review helpful?

Installed on a Jeep Grande Cherokee using the supplied wiring to the backup light. Fairly simple. The beeper connected easily to the power socket behind the pull down ash tray. Works as advertised. Seems to be well made and looks better that a empty trailer hitch. A nice toy for a low price! Was this review helpful?

One item not listed which is included is a cigarette lighter wireless sonar beeper, just plug into lighter and external unit communicates with it (after syncing) no need to wire in . Unit works well, and installs easily if you have a 7 way plug. Would buy again and would recommend unit. Have used unit for 2 weeks. Was this review helpful?
