5 of 5 Amazing Mouse! Saturday, October 10, 2009 A Customer from Bethlehem, PA
It works on almost any surface, only surface I found it did not work on was glass table top that was non tempered glass. Runs on one AA battery and I have been using it for 4 months and have not need to replace the battery. Amazing mouse! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Worthy Companion for your Laptop Sunday, September 20, 2009 Suresh Bhagia from Downers Grove, IL
This is a nice mouse. It replaced the Logitech v500. I consider it ergonomic because it fits well in my hand and has a smooth scrolling wheel. It has many buttons to customize but I have not bothered with that as the mouse is easy to set up. You plug in the nano receiver and Windows Vista premium automatically recognized it. The receiver is small so I constantly am able to leave it in the usb port while traveling. I like the on off button on the back of the mouse that conserves power on the go. My over all satisfication is 4 because Microsoft did not supply a carrying case with this Mouse so eventually it is going to have wear and tear from being with my laptop. They supplied a CD software but I feel that since it is a Microsoft mouse, the software should come loaded with Windows. For example, the buttons cannot be customized without installing the software provided. It is not a big deal, but I don't want see the justification of installing Microsoft Mouse software in a Microsoft Windows Premium environment. The fine print on Microsoft website also states that Blue track technology will not work on Glass or mirrored surfaces. I got it for 5.99 because I had a gift card from Buy.com so that is a huge bargain. Was this review helpful?

This really is an outstanding product. Tracking is excellent on every surface I've had to use it on, including a fake sheepskin throw that I have on my sofa for my dog. The USB dongle is very small and can be left in the laptop. So small, in fact, that it's difficult to remove, but I no longer want to do so. The mouse has a real on-off slider. I haven't owned the mouse long enough to change the battery, so battery life has to be at least acceptable. Overall, I much prefer this mouse to its full size cousin, the MS Explorer Wireless Bluetrack mouse. I own both. This mouse has better ergonomics, a real on-off switch, and long life on a single AA battery (versus the Explorer which has a rechargeable battery that won't last one day; plus no off switch). I took one grade off of value for the high price. Also, one grade off of overall satisfaction because this mouse has its own proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless dongle instead of Bluetooth. Get a wireless keyboard and now you've got two dongles sticking out of your laptop. Was this review helpful?
