It's almost detected radar/laser. If you go freeway sometimes you saw police but it didn't work because police car didn't shoot radar. When they shoot radar, my car detect so I prevent too much ticket. I got it when I took one time but got 3 three ticket immediately. Terrible. Right now, it's better. I recommended everyone take it. I got this radar detector about 1 month ago. So far so good. I'm not sure if it heats up that much or not (citing the user below me), since I don't hold it in my hand or anything. Looks nice and detects all the bands. i don't really care if it really works like a charm because I don't plan on speeding anyway. I got it just to look racy...That doesn't mean it doesn't work. On several occasions it went off and moments later i would spot the sneaky squad card hiding in the shade of the bridge. So yeah, get it. Was this review helpful?

I opened the box after I received in the mail, Looked good, went through the manual and hooked up the radar. I used it for 15 minutes in shade, the unit was so hot and became untouchable. So returned the unit and got the next one. GOt the same problem... Trying to work with Wisler... Was this review helpful?
