    I use this on my laptop when needed and regularly on my desktop for backups, troubleshooting, etc. Easy to use and no problems at all. The eSata connection on my desktop makes my external drive as fast as an internal one. Very useful.

    I've been using removable drives for many years. These slide in and out of the 5.25" slot and have been IDE HDDs. Now with this product, you have the ability of much faster data transfer rates using a SATA drive and the convenient benefit of hot swappable. In addition, you can choose and buy the exact HDD you want. I like this feature the best. If you buy an off the shelf external drive, you have no idea what HDD they dropped in there. My data is very important to me, so I buy a reliable HDD with a 5-year warranty. I feel if they back their drive up with a long, solid warranty then it should be built better. That gives me peace of mind.
