This is good device if you are planning to do a lot of different office work including photos processing. Very simple, lightweight and fast enough to do regular office works. I think it has balanced options/performance/price for "regular" users. Very good replacement for my 7 years old HP scanner ... Was this review helpful?

It was very confusing to get this scanner set up to work with my Mac Book Pro, because the directions lead me to nothing that worked. It does not work with iphoto.
However, after calling the Canon Tech Support, we were able to get it going with a different program (photo studio) that comes with the driver.So all is well now and I am scanning away! Was this review helpful?

Talk about everything you could want in a scanner! It is lightweight and easy to transport. I carried it in a backpack with my laptop to work everyday. The scanned images were great! This scanner does everything it is supposed to do for a great price. It is light, thin and compact. Photos scan beautifully. Looks almost like the original. Colors are vivid & bright. It is so simple to use too. All you have to do is install the software & plug in the USB cable & it downloads the driver automatically. No power cord needed with this scanner! Then you are ready to scan. There are buttons right on the front of the scanner. In my case, I just pressed the 'scan' button and my picture was scanned within 30 seconds. I love this thing!
