5 of 5 Reception is great Tuesday, November 17, 2009
George from Chevy Chase, MD

I live in the DC area and this antenna gives me good reception. I don't know why they tried to add a clock feature, but, as with other reviewers, I found that the clock doesn't work. Not big deal since I didn't want the clock.

1 of 5 Looked Promising, but didn't deliver. Monday, June 08, 2009
Rob Marin from Pico Rivera, CA
I live in Los Angeles area and got this for my TV in the living room. It did not work well at all, regardless of position, placement, etc. I gave up on it. I did get a Thomson flat panel antenna for indoors and got all but CBS in my living room and KCOP in my family room. That showed me the Aluratek does not work well at all in my area.

5 of 5 New antenna works great! Sunday, May 10, 2009
SpokaneDan from San Antonio, TX
Setup was easy. Hooked up to new 23" HDTV, clicked "Setup Channels", and it found a bunch. Works great. Don't know if the clock works (and don't really care).

4 of 5 Station I bought it for still borderline Saturday, May 09, 2009
Kevin W. Parker from Greenbelt, MD
The purpose of this antenna was to ensure that we could pick up Maryland Public Television's digital signal out of Annapolis/Crownsville as our old rabbit ears weren't remotely up to the task. (The local DC stations come in just fine, but they're a lot closer, and I didn't expect them to be a problem.) However, this antenna can only barely manage it even if it's positioned just right with the amplifier at maximum. So, well, yes, it does the job, but not as easily as I would expect from a "high performance" antenna. The picture, however, is great from those stations I do pick up, so no complaints there.

5 of 5 Works great, very happy with item Tuesday, March 17, 2009
A Customer from columbus ohio
I bought this to run with my digital converter box. It works perfectly. FYI there is an adjustable amplifying knob, you have to turn it to the best reception once its hooked up. Some one on here said they just put it on high and it worked. That will not be the case in every area. Mine gets perfect reception with only being turned half an inch.

4 of 5 It works. Tuesday, March 10, 2009
A Customer from LA. CA
The product I received was full of dust, looked like very much used. The clock does not function, but the antenna does pull in good signals.

5 of 5 HDTV Performance Saturday, March 07, 2009
A Customer from Baltimore, Md.
The Aluratek hdtv antenna works well, provides high quality pictures and reception.I currently have the antenna connected to my televison which had been previously connected to cable. However, I expected the signal to pull in a lot more hdtv channels. The digital time clock when set keeps accurate timing. I give the Aluratek antenna a rating of 4+ for quality, price and performance.

1 of 5 If you live close enough? Friday, March 06, 2009
Disappointed from Covington, Ga
It is simple and easy to hook up to the TV. BUT, I live 20 miles outside of Atlanta, Ga. and it will not pick up one station. It was a total waste of money for me. Maybe I'm too far away from the stations. Hope this will sell good on ebay!

5 of 5 Works well however not "High Performance" Monday, February 09, 2009
David from Muskegon, MI
The antenna works well as the other two similar type interal boost antennas I have. I was hoping for a little more amplification since advertized as high performance.

4 of 5 NOT SO "High Performance" but "work Monday, January 19, 2009
Ernest from Peoria, AZ
I live in the suburbs several miles from "south mountain" where the broadcasts originate. The antenna does an "adequate" job, but needs more boost, which I expected from a "High Performance" antenna. Wish they had left the clock off and put in more amplification. If you live closer to the broadcast site this unit will be fine for you. The unit required some assembly, had to attach telescoping antenna to base. Depending on station requires fiddling with antenna position and adjust amplification strength. But on the up side, you can attach an extenal (non-amplified) antenna to the back of unit with coax cable and this improves the units performance (by creating a bigger antenna). In my case it is the cable running in the walls and ceiling that acts as an antenna. So, if you have an extenal antenna attach it and this unit will act as an amplifier with some adjustablity and a clock with month/date. Purchased three, one was defective, the nut fell of the cable. Waiting on replacement for last unit.

5 of 5 Worked great for me! Thursday, January 15, 2009
Marcus from Tempe, AZ
I was pretty skeptical at first, but I got digital reception on all the over air HD channels except FOX (sometimes got it, but mostly not). I only have basic cable and the quality of the HD channels is SIGNIFICANT. Plus, PBS has 3 HD channels. For the price, this is a great enhancement! Good luck!

5 of 5 Cheap with great reception Thursday, January 08, 2009
Big Nate from Glendale, Arizona
I live 24 miles from the TV towers which all all bunched together so I didnt really need the omnidirectional antenna. I am in AZ so there are not many huge trees or buildings near my house. When I looked up my apartment on antennaweb.org and I was in the green zone for all the channels. The antenna preforms well, it gets all the channels perfectly. Every once in a while there is one channel will get a little digitally weak and have a choppy signal but thats rare. I dont really get how to use the amplifier knob in the back so I just leave it turned up all the time but i cant really tell much of a difference except on the one channel that gets the weak signal sometimes (as long as the amplifier knob is up there is rarely a signal dropout). It takes a few seconds to receive the signal when you first get your tv turned on but I dont know if thats my tv or the antenna (I have a 52" Philips LCD HDTV) The picture looks amazing considering the cheap antenna, I believe that its HD on my TV. Overall I am very happy with the antenna, cant beat the price (I did a lot of research on these) and its a great value would buy it again if I needed another.

1 of 5 a used HD anntena Thursday, January 08, 2009
A Customer from Carbondale, IL
I thought I bought a new HD anntena, but when I received it and opened it I could see it is obviously a used one because there were some scratches and wears on the clock screen. Its performance is just the same as my analog anntena or worse since I can watch fewer channels. don't waste your money on this anntena.

5 of 5 great little antenna Wednesday, January 07, 2009
A Customer from Boston MA
I am very impressed with this little device. I did not expect much from it since it was cheap. But it beat the one I am using on my HDTV any round - the signal is stronger and the set up is piece of cake.

5 of 5 HD over air; no need for cable subscription Monday, January 05, 2009
Ken from Houston, TX
This HDTV antenna has really brought HD to my new HDTV. Before hooking up the Aluratek HDTV antenna, I relied on cable to supply the signal, but I didn't want to spring the extra money for the HDTV cable box, so I had standard signal going to my HDTV. It was too easy to hook up the HDTV antenna...basically switching the coax cable from the wall to the antenna. Wow, the HDTV pictures from the new antenna were 100X better than what cable was providing. Now, I cannot stand watching the cable channels, when I can get such high quality HDTV over the air from this antenna. I'm very happy with this antenna.

4 of 5 Works well, but... Monday, January 05, 2009
Rick from Nicholasville, KY
It works really well and I can now get all the HD channels that I could not pick up before. The only problem is that the cables are not exchangeable and the ones that it has are too short (in my opinion). Overall, I am happy, but I could not put the antenna where I wanted it.

5 of 5 Excellent antenna Sunday, January 04, 2009
Raymond from Lakewood, OH
i borrowed a friend's RCA antenna before deciding to buy one myself. at this price of this one, i simply could not pass it up, even if it turned out to not work as well. that certainly was not the case, this thing performs at least as good as the more expensive antenna i had on loan from a friend and it even has a jack for another external antenna to be hooked into it (something missing from my friend's more expensive antenna). overall i am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this antenna to anybody with no hesitation.

5 of 5 Great price for a great product Sunday, January 04, 2009
Beverly from Chicago, Illinois
This antenna is great. I purchased it to use with the 12 inch flat screen television on my kitchen counter. It is not connected to cable. This antenna has a separate port to connect to the DTV devices that are so popular now. This antenna is replacing a cheap rabbit ear. This one performs 10 times better. I plan on connecting this to a DTV device soon.

5 of 5 Picks up all local channels with 100% signal stren Sunday, January 04, 2009
A Customer from Hampton Roads, Virginia
Pros: Does a great job of picking up local channels without being moved around. Cons: Can't be easily wall-mounted. Once I found the ideal location, I had to rig it up so that it would stay in place.

3 of 5 Weak Sunday, January 04, 2009
A Customer from Cocoa, Florida
Doesn't pick up half the channels my Terk antenna does. Also, the wire coming out of the coaxial was bent, too thin and too long.
