Kingston's KVR400SO/1GR is a 128M x 64-bit 1GB (1024MB) DDR400 CL3 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory module. The components on this module include sixteen 64M x 8-bit (16M x 8-bit x 4 Bank) DDR400 SDRAM in FBGA packages. This 200-pin SODIMM (Small Outline DIMM) uses gold contact fingers and requires +2.6V.

Upgrading the RAM in my MSI MS-1029 laptop was extremely easy! Went from 1GB to 2GB and the machine is very fast running either XP, Vista, and even Windows 7 beta! Cheapest upgrade path for older laptops is to add as much RAM as the machine can handle. I'm maxed out at 2GB, but that's plenty for now. Buy.com had the lowest price and the item was delivered in about a week via the free shipping option. I've been happy with every purchase from Buy.com. I highly recommend!

I received the order in less than 1 week. The whole process of changing the memory module in the Dell Latitude D600 was easy. The system is now quicker for this very old laptop. The laptop calls for 266MHz speed but the newer 400MHz memory works seemlessly.
