I began searching for a remote that would control all of the devices in my house, because my wife gets frustrated trying to remember how to use ~7 remotes to control the systems upstairs and downstairs. Not to mention that we have a PS3 as our only disc player downstairs. So, when I saw this remote, I fell in love. And it does everything that you hope that it will. The interface on the PC is just ok... not awesome, but doable with a little patience. Depending on how many actvities you have (e.g. Watch TV Upstairs, Play PS3, etc.), it might take a bit more than the advertised "20 minute setup." But, honestly, it is totally worth it. It is a little pricey as well, but again, to be able to tote one remote around the house and turn on only the devices that are needed for whatever it is that you are doing is well worth it.

This is my first logitech remote. Very satisfied. Worked great right out of the box, with very simple setup. Controls all of my components flawlessly. Even my family can use this remote, as it is not complicated. Most other universal remotes I have bought, do not live up to their hype, but the Harmony One does. A bit pricey, but it does replace 7 other remotes, without needing the original ones for some functions. Great overall product.

I purchased this remote after I purchased one for a client I built a home for. I thought to myself that this is exactly what I need at home. I was able to program it easily. I used the prep sheet to write down all of my makes and models and that made the set up quick. I really enjoyed the ability to add the HD icons on the main screen as "speed dials". The web site for the icons even had my local news channels. I was really pleased it controlled my comcast box exactly as the original remote. After using it for several weeks I was able to adjust the menus for the individual devices to the more frequently used functions on the top screen. The big winner was all of the kids are now not calling me to help them with the 4 prior remotes. Bigger benefit. The wife is able to use with no complaints. This price was $100.00 lower than most retailers and the shipping was really quick. this is a must have.

What a great product. With just a little time invested, this universal remote will have all your equipment functioning the way you want it. If you have a home theater, this is the remote for you.

I have two Harmony One remotes--upstairs and downstairs. One replaced seven remotes, the new one has replaced five of eight (still setting it up.) I had an expensive Pronto a couple of years ago and abandoned it. The Harmony One works great. i especially like that you program it via your computer (PC or Mac), and that customer support (in Canada) can see your settings and troubleshoot your setup or write code for remote commands that you're having a problem with. It doesn't take long to make the Harmony One functional. You will probably want to fine tune your settings over a period of days, but you really can make it do anything/everything. One negative--that outstanding telephone support is now limited to 60 days. So if you get a new piece of equipment after that time, you're relegated to email if you need any programming from the head end.

I am very impressed and pleased with this remote. I have had universal remotes in the past, and have always had to keep the original remotes handy just to use a few random buttons that the universal wasn't compatible with. This remote handles it all. My house always has visitors and guests that I would need to train on which remotes to use for different activities. I haven't yet had to train anyone on using the Harmony remote, it is truly self explanatory once you set it up. It seems like my guests that have experienced using the remote, adds it to their wish list for their own household.

The Logitech Harmony One is a little pricey, but well worth it. I've replaced seven different remotes with the Harmony One.... and with downloadable programming, the ability to create your own "one-touch" command sequences for the tasks you choose, and available downloadable television "channel icons" for the "favorite channels" on your touchscreen, this thing is sweet! A few teething pains, but the remote walks you through fixing those. Just don't forget to keep the remote pointed at the system ... Highly recommended.

The Logitech Harmony One is a great remote! It was very easy to configure, simple to use, and allowed me to go from using four remotes to one. It bought me back to the good graces of my wife. :)

Replaced 6 remotes with just one. Setup took about 30 minutes, and was pretty straightforward. Only issue is a lag in volume control with my Bose 3-2-1 system.

I am using the Harmony One remote to work with my DVD player, TV, Wii, and Media Center PC. It took a while to get everything working properly, especially the Media PC, but it all works, with the exception of the Wii which uses Bluetooth I understand. I would buy again.

This is my second Harmony One. I use one in the family room and one in the home theater. Superstrong IR Output. Great backlighting. Built like a tank. TOP quality. Terrific On-Line Programming. Expensive but worth it.

The "Harmony One" does everything that I was expecting it to do. I use it to control six electronic items and it does. Good price for the value too.

This is a replacement remote for my older Harmony 880 style. The Harmony One has better button layout and tactile feel in your hand. There is enough room between the most commonly used buttons to learn them quickly without having to look directly at the remote. The touch screen part works flawlessly for me. Of course, with just an hour of your time you can have the One working just about any piece of equipment in a home theater.

I like the product. It is sleek and easy to use. Similar to the other Harmony remotes, if something does not turn on or off, you have to go through the help which is kind of a pain, but typically solves the problem.

This remote does everything. Plus, it's easy to use and easy to program. It's great how it lets you split events so you can have different components control different parts on the remote at the same time. It was also a refreshing change that it had my Viewsonic TV info. For any other remote, I'd have to have it learn the codes for each key individually. For the harmony, I just did a search and everything was there. I like the remote more as I use it. It's definitely worth every penny.

This is my third Harmony remote, and it is far and away the best. Buttons are placed logically, and what you don't like you can customize fairly easily in the software.

My wife bought me this remote for my birthday and it was great. I have had several other high end programmable remotes and this is by far the best one of them all. I really found no cons to this remote especially since it is suited for the beginner or the advanced user.

This is my second Harmony, replacing the 676. It is a marvel. Touchscreen with customizable icons (add your own pics!), truly logical layout of hard buttons, great backlighting, lights up when you move it, charging station, outstanding IR power and range (no need to point it at all). You can fine tune the various delays (hint: the defaults are really slow; I cranked mine up to zip thru the commands). Even the wife, who hates A/V, is starting to use it. Read the user manual and explore the online setup software; this is one smart puppy and you can make it do tricks.

Harmony One is most versatile remote I have ever used. I purchased the remote two weeks ago and I am impressed with it's ease of use. Programing the remote is fairly straight forward and I return to the Harmony site to add new functions as I use the remote more. Initially it took me about 20 minutes to become familiar with the website enough to start programing the remote. When I sat down to watch TV, I found myself enjoying it more because of the simplicity of the Harmony One. I was recommended the Harmony by a family member and I recommend it to anyone else.

My brother, who is in the Audio Visual business, recommended the Harmony One to me. He said I would not be disappointed. He was right. There are many universal remotes available, but I don’t believe any of them work as smart as this one. There is no need to select different options to operate functions. For example, if you wish to watch TV, you press “Watch TV” and the remote does the rest. It will turn the TV on, turn the receiver on with one click. Also, to listen to music on the CD player, you would do one click on the remote being “Listen to Music.” This would turn the TV off and turn the CD Player on. The remote is configured via the Internet. It is very easy to set up, and you selected how the different devices work together. Also, when I added my Cable Box/DVR to the configuration I was asked if I wanted to leave it powered on at all times, I selected yes, as I record TV programs as various times. So when I click the Power Off button on the remote, everything is powered off except the Cable Box/DVR. Once the configuration is complete, the remote is updated by connecting it to your computer via the supplied USB cable. The touch color screen is a big plus for ease of use and information feedback. If something goes wrong when you make your selection, you can press the help key, and the remote will troubleshoot the problem for you by asking you a few questions. It works. Even my wife loves the Harmony One. Prior to purchasing this remote, I had 4 remotes to fumble with. The quality of the remote is tops and very well constructed. I highly recommend the Harmony One Universal Remote. I give it 5 stars in all categories.

I purchased the Harmony One to replace an 880 that we've managed to lose somewhere in our house. Some quick on-line research made it pretty clear that the newer Harmony one device was receiving rave reviews and so rather than replacing like with like even though it did mean having to repeat the set up and reprogramming steps for the new device. The "out-of-the-box" experience with the Harmony one was terrific. It's well packaged and the initial installation and setup is well documented. The software installed easily in the initial configuration passes were not as complicated as those I remember applied for the earlier 880 experience. In my environment I have a TiVo a DVD VCR recorder combo unit a cable TV box and a large LCD screen, each with their own remote control devices and all from different manufacturers. I didn't want a complex set up just a simple single button selection for watching cable TV for watching something on TiVo for watching a DVD or VCR; basically I wanted to consolidate my for remote controls into one which is a basic philosophy of the Harmony on it. It probably took me closer to an hour than 30 minutes to get the configuration right, but in the end I had exactly what I was looking for: an easy-to-understand and use, point-and-click device that does its job well. As one of the reviewers I've read elsewhere commented, it passes the "wife" factor, i.e. my technophobic wife has found the use of the unit very easy and noted herself that it was much more logically arranged and easy-to-use than its predecessor. A good selection for just about anybody. I will warn however, that there are aspects of the software used to customize and program the remote that are less than immediately obvious. For example rather than simply having a choice for TiVo you have to know that you want to set up a PVR which I guess must stand for personal video recorder or programmable video recorder or something. More significant is that the user interface requires you to go in and Al of different menus and organizations of information in a fashion that I personally didn't find very intuitive. Nonetheless it's manageable if you get through it you'll end up with a remote that does what you want it to so I can't help but give this product top marks.

Probably the best technical support I have ever had. It is a shame that the remote failed so miserably. The remote would work once or twice before having to be reprogrammed. It could not remember the sequences to turn on the TV and the audio system; I almost wore out the help button. Technical support spent hours with me on the phone. Shortly after having things figured out on the phone, the remote would hick-up and mess up it's sequence. It is a shame, the couple of times it did work, it was a great remote, but I have to return it because it made watching TV a chore rather than a pleasure

This is my second Logitech Universal (previous being the 880). The Harmony One represents a vast improvement over the 880/890. Buttons are larger, more responsive and placed a good bit better this time. The overall fit/finish is great and the general feel of it (in your hand) is improved as well. Set-up took only 15 minutes, though I already had the software installed from my previous unit. The earlier iterations (880/890) had problems with the software set-up. It was a problem with the software on the CDs not the remote. I had no such problems with the latest version that came with the One. )If you do have problems installing it from the CD you can get the latest version directly from Logitech's site.) I will say though I was a little bummed I couldn't just copy the equipment info from one remote's set-up to the other. They seemed to have done some work with the codes as well which trimmed what was 8 pages of rarely used/poorly named screen entries on the 880 to 3 pages of more commonly used and concisely named function keys on the One's screen. Still a little pricey but worth it.

While it is the best universal remote I have owned it is not as simple to set up and use as they would have you believe. Even though all the model numbers of my components where in their data base none of them worked correctly without their service techs making modifications. The techs that helped set my remote up were great but the hours running between my entertainment center and computer I could have done without. And as far as someone just picking it up and using it, chances of that are slim to none. While I do like the unit I wont even begin to try and teach my wife how to control most of our components with it.

This remote is nearly perfect. I've owned seven or eight universal remotes before, and there were always issues - missing buttons I'd want to use, clunky feel, short battery life (and not rechargeable!) - the works. This remote is HIGHLY programmable, and has a very wide IR dispersal, which is important if components are scattered or behind glass. Moreover, the Harmony technical support team puts everyone else - with the possible exception of Apple or the sales people at Nordstroms - to shame - they are EXTREMELY helpful. The only thing this remote needs to be perfect is the ability to control RF devices, and given the (relatively) low cost and the fact that it is first generation, I can't really grade it down on that point. Very Highly Recommended!
