I purchased this for use as a ReadyBoost drive for Vista. It tests as fast enough, so ReadyBoost is available on this device. The only problem is that you can only use 4GB for ReadyBoost. I can't remove this USB drive while using it for ReadyBoost, so there isn't any need for the other 4GB on the drive.
I have ordered a new 4GB drive. I will swap them and use the 8GB drive for transfers and storage. I could have purchased a cheaper 8GB drive if I didn't need one that was ReadyBoost capable. Was this review helpful?

Another great product from Buy.com. Super Flash Drive. This is my 3rd PNY and they have all been great. Not one problem and always easy to use. Works great with both XP and Vista. It holds a mountain of files, pics and music. I am going to use this flash drive to back-up everything of importance on my HP and then reformat it back to its factory state. Was this review helpful?

I received this drive promptly from Buy.com and have been using it for a while. While it was a good value, Vista would not initially use it for ReadyBoost. ... I just now checked it again, and now Visa has set up 4GB for ReadyBoost. If I see any problems later, I will re-review(?) this item. Was this review helpful?

I was pleased when I saw that the price had come down on an 8 gb thumb drive, especially since it was PNY. Since I've had it, I've had a problem. When I plug it into an empty USP port, sometimes it doesn't install the upload information. I'll pull it out and replace it, sometimes several time, finally it work. This not only happens on my pc, but on my laptop also. Sometimes I can just change ports when this happens. Later, I can come back to a port that I was having problems with, and it will work the first time. Other than that, the information is never lost, and I can transport a large presentation on it. Even at $32.00, this is totally worth it. The original Attache drives allowed the plastic to come off, which I liked, but this drive is thinner all around, so it can still get in to thin spaces (which is sometimes required). Big plus? The cap slides on to the back, so it doesn't get lost. Absolutely recommend. Was this review helpful?
