5 of 5 Total Satisfaction Wednesday, October 28, 2009 Reno from Wichita Falls
I use data sticks for my day to day job and it is absolutely essential that I retrieve data from my clients accurately and without issue. This stick does exactly that, I have never had to go back and reacquire lost data, with that I'm very confident when I leave a client and have no doubts that the data will be exactly what I expected it to be. This was not the case with my previous Kingston stick. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best USB I've ever had Tuesday, May 05, 2009 Igor from Stamford, CT
I am using Cruzer Micro USB drives for several years starting from 500MB. Now I've added 8 GB to the collection. So far I like it. It is not that fast as 500 MB but that is expected. The previous drives were very reliable, I expect that this one will not be worse. Very easy to use. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Well worth the money! Friday, April 17, 2009 A Customer from minneapolis, MN
I bought 2 of these on sale for $14.99 each. I hav eonly played with U3 functionality so far, but it it has worked as advertised. Th unit also gives the option of running as a straight 8GB flash drive, but i have not tried this, but the speed indiactes that this hould not be a problem either. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best USB drive I've ever owned Friday, April 10, 2009 Jeff from Salt Lake City, UT
I have owned many USB drives in the past and this one is just great. I put it on my key chain and it is great to have it on hand whenever I want to transfer a file or take a video with me. The size is great because if I ever wanted to transfer a DVD's worth of data I can do it without wasting a disc!
I really like how the USB connector slides back inside the body. I wish there was some sort of cover on the front to keep dust out though.
I don't use the U3 program thing but you can just disable that or delete it if you don't want it. (I guess you need a special program to delete it but you can disable it and it doesn't take very much space.) I just disabled it in case I want to use it sometime in the future. 4 of 5 Great Drive Thursday, April 09, 2009 A Customer from Cross City, FL
The Cruzer is nicely packaged and has plenty of space. The retracting USB connection is convenient and cool. The drive is plenty small enough to carry on a keychain. I don't use the U3 technology, but it is easily removed with a tool from the Sandisk website. On the con side, I don't like the light so much. It is a little too bright and stays on all the time. A small LED would have been more reasonable. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Thursday, April 09, 2009 MRHII from OKC, OK
I already own several 4GB Cruzers and have never experienced any issues with them. This 8GB Cruzer provides even more storage with the reliability I expect and the price was unbeatable. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Value but ... Wednesday, April 08, 2009 Sam from Suisun, CA
PROS:
I just bought the 8 GB Cruzer. It's good value for the price I paid for, perform fine so far (own it for a week)===========================
Future CONS:
Retractable USB connector: For me, I don't think it's a plus, eventually something will go wrong if you keep retracting it everytime within a period of 2 years or so.
Also, why the Cruzer is lighted while it's connected, it should be lighted while it's in use only. This is another weak point, eventually something will go wrong with the light if it's on all the time.
Be sure to backup the software that comes with the Cruzer before you delete it in case you need it in the future.

5 of 5 Great product you would not want to miss Wednesday, April 08, 2009 A Customer from Eglewood, Colorado
I bought this product at buy.com upon recommendation from my brothers and I am glad I did. This is a very versatile product with many features at a "steal" price!! I highly recommend it... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good product for good price Wednesday, April 08, 2009 A Customer from Anywhere, USA
The software that comes preloaded is not necessary, but I like the drive's compact design. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice Wednesday, April 08, 2009 Tim H. from Detroit, MI
This 8 GB Cruzer is just what I needed for some extra space and to be secure. I already own a 4 GB cruzer drive but needed more space. Once it was setup it ran without a hitch. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good value Tuesday, April 07, 2009 v from Boyds, MD
Great value. Only con is that the casing is wider than the available space around some USB slots. Had to plug this in the back of my desktop rather than in the front... pulling the machine out from its regular parking space so I could access the back. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 It's exactly what i thought it would be. Thursday, March 12, 2009 George from Denton TX
It's not the fastest drive on the market, but the cheap price and the large size make it perfect for my needs. I recommend for anyone who is tired of having 3 or 4 filled up 1GB and 2GB drives... Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Simply the BEST Wednesday, March 11, 2009 Allen from Fremont, CA
I have used many other name brand USB flash drives, SanDisk simply is the BEST. Fast, reliable, and FAST. Did I mention it's fast!! I only purchase SanDisk for the USB Flash Drive. It was $30 nine months ago. For $20 now, it's a no brainer! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Can't have enough Tuesday, March 10, 2009 Cathy from Springfield, IL
I own a netbook and have a couple of flash drives that I use to move files and programs. They are an easy, convenient way to keep me on the move. This bigger version of my first flash drive holds what I need it to hold and goes everywhere I need it to go. The price was a great deal for what this drive does for me. Was this review helpful?

Great value for an 8GB flash drive (got it from Buy.com for $20). I really like the retractable end and, unlike other products I've had (Kingston) the keyring seems to be quite sturdy. I hae not attempted to use the U3 software yet but was glad that they gie you the choiceto uninstall it the first time you use the drive (while letting you keep the setup and install files in case you change your mind). 5 of 5 Fast, Large Drive At a Small Price Monday, March 09, 2009 Rob McAlister from Durham NC
Works very well on Macs and PCs. I use it daily to store files with quick transfer speeds and huge capacity at an excellent price.
I use a Mac almost exclusively and it just showed up as expected as an external drive. The U3 software works well on PCs and doesn't need to be removed for Macs (it just doesn't work). I love the retractable connector that does not need a cap. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Great for the price Sunday, March 08, 2009 Scott from Columbia, SC
I love the retractable connection; it works great for the $15 spent. This is actually my second SanDisk Cruzer thumb drive. My 1GB has been working great for 2 years now so I thought I'd upgrade to the 8GB. Its been working fine now for 3 weeks. Lastly, I hate the U3 software and wish that SanDisk would stop pre-installing it on their drives. That said, it's easy enough to uninstall. Was this review helpful?

Once you remove the pesky U3 software you have a great product. Good speed, nice size and no removable cap to loose. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent Thumb Drive Sunday, March 08, 2009 Craig Michael Patrick from Hamilton, OH
Excellent device, though I am not a fan of the software that's built in to it, particularly since I work on a Mac. Tried reformatting it but placing it in a PC still launches all manner of nonsense.
A NOTE TO MANUFACTURERS: Most consumer purchase thumb drives not because we want more software to add to our machines, but as a means of moving data. I am of the opinion your software constitutes junkware that pollutes machines. Just a storage drive, that's all you need to make. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great price and performance Thursday, March 05, 2009 A Customer from Houston, TX
I loved everybit of it except for the software which comes in it (U3) Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Fine product with room to grow Tuesday, March 03, 2009 A Customer from Newport News, VA
I have the Cruzer 4 Gbyte model, and it has performed flawlessly for the past few years. Back then it cost > $40, so when I saw the 8 Gbyte model for $16.99 I decided the price was right. I have transferred all of my data off of the smaller Cruzer to this one, and it is performing as flawlessly as its little brother. One complaint with this model is that it did not come with a lanyard. Two factors that I like about the Cruzer design are the retractable USB connector and the U3 system. Now I have room to spare on the larger model. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Love this product and great sevice from Buy.com Tuesday, February 17, 2009 A Customer from Atlanta GA
Hi,
This product works great - the U3 software is another great value that this product offers.
On top of this, my original mail order was lost in the transaction by USPS - on reporting the same to buy.com - they resend me the package - great service - keep it up - buy.com customer service. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great once you erase the U3 software Monday, February 16, 2009 A Customer from Newport, RI
You have to download and run the Sandisk U3 uninstaller to erase the hidden partition with the U3 software to use the full disk space. After that, it is a great flash drive. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome USB Drive!! Thursday, February 12, 2009 PKumar from Rochester, MN
I got this USB drive last month and it is working great. I love U3 features, basically you can hide all your personal data by locking it with a password. Anybody who uses your drive will need to enter password to see the data so your data will be secured. My wife accidentally washed it in the washing machine but it still worked. Awesome product! I will highly recommend you buy this product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works as advertised Tuesday, February 10, 2009 APJH from New York, NY
Not much to say about this product.
It performs its job as is supposed to.
The only thing is I wish they make the casing a little
more durable.

5 of 5 Sandisk Makes Memory Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Renee from Somerset, MA
That is what this company does, it makes memory, and no disappointments here! Great quality at a great price.
It's a durable little flash drive with 8MB of memory, 1.0 and 2.0 compatible, transfers data with exceptional speed, slim line design, and the price is the best part, just wish I had purchased two! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Excellent USB drive Saturday, February 07, 2009 rockcanyon from comstock, texas
1. The retractable plug is better than the loose caps of other brands.
2. Didn't come loaded with lots of unwanted software
3. Supports ReadyBoost
4. Perfect physical size; some drives are smaller but they are actually harder to keep up with. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 What a great deal! Friday, February 06, 2009 Cheri from El Paso, TX
This little Cruzer is great. It has the slide out feature that makes it really handy. It holds so much data that I shouldn't have to buy another one for some time. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good deal. Wednesday, February 04, 2009 A Customer from Davis, CA
I recently purchased a 4gb sandisk cruzer micro at best buy but after I saw this deal, I returned that one and bought this one. 12.99 for a 4gb or 14 for an 8gb? Good deal! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product, great service by Buy Wednesday, February 04, 2009 valhallas_end from North Syracuse, NY
I read through the reviews looking for faults before I bought this drive, and was a bit worried about the number of complaints about the drive case and slider construction. It was offered at the time for 15 bucks with free shipping though, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity, and figured I'm always careful with USB drives. I have no regrets on this purchase - the drive case, while plastic, does Not feel flimsy at all. The slider, while it may decouple upon insertion, is perfectly easy to hold in place with a thumb while pushing into a USB slot - in fact, the slider action is in the perfect thumb position for this. I've already dropped it down two flights of stairs (lanyard slipped out of my hand) and it still works perfectly. The U3 interface is actually quite nice if you install programs on your drives - it helps speed up the process quite well. Overall, a very good buy, and the shipping speed was phenomenal. Shipping and handling was great.
I like that the usb plug retracts, makes it easy to use.
No complaints. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Big and Quick! Wednesday, February 04, 2009 A Customer from methuen, ma
If you are looking for a fast, roomy, and compact flashdrive, this is it! In my HD-Tach benchmarks, this little gem scored a consistent 26 MB/sec transfer rate which is quicker than most 4 or 8 GB flashdrives I have tested. You get great bang for your buck with this one. Was this review helpful?

USB stick works as advertised. No problems. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good product Sunday, February 01, 2009 Sam L. from Boone, NC
It's a thumb drive. It works. I like that the usb plug retracts, makes it less obtrusive on a keychain. The software that comes on it sounds great but it runs really slowly and there's not a whole lot of useful software you can put on it for free, so I uninstalled it all. Holds a lot of data in a small package. Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 229 reviews
