5 of 5 Uniden Dect 5.8 Sunday, December 23, 2007 A Customer from Pittsburgh Pa
The Uniden 5.8 is an older model. Uniden now has now updated with the Uniden Dect 6.0. The features are great. The same as the 5.8 except the frequency, the clarity, and performance it better. Does not get interference from other devices. The average price is $105.00 which includes the Base phone, digital answering, callers Id, and 2 extra handsets, and a host of additional features. The phone expands up to 6 hand set with one phone jack. This phone will meet all of your needs. I love the phone. Read all instruction a bit complicated to understand use. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 So far so good Tuesday, December 18, 2007 A Customer from Phila, PA
I have had Uniden phones for the past 15 years or so and really had not had a problem. Setting up the features are basically the same so set up was a snap. This system works on 5.8Mhz rather then 2.4 so it does not interfere with my wireless. It also does not cause interference being close to the microwave like my previous 2.4. The copy contact feature is a great time saver. Only had for a couple weeks but am very happy so far. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good buy Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Chesterfield, MO
I needed a phone that can cover all the floors at my house with good receiption and good speakerphone. This phone answers all of my requirements. It has great receiption (even when you are talking away from the base), it's speakerphone is outstanding and it's overall functionality is great. I can find easily the other units by using the intercom option and the battery life is fair as well. The only change I would suggest to Uniden is to dedicate a special key for the mute button (in the current configuration you need a combination of 2 key strokes to mute the phone and also the phone does not show the status of mute so you have to guess if you muted it or not). Overall - I am very happy with this phone! Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Works well with a few complaints Thursday, November 29, 2007 Andy from MD
I don't like how each phone has it's own caller id and address book. Our previous phone (AT&T) had a central one stored on the base unit. The way these work you have to delete the caller id on each phone instead of doing it once for all of them. You can enter addresses on one phone and copy them to the other ones but it just seems like an extra step. Maybe that's just how the expandable systems work but I like the other way better. Besides that the phones work great. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value! Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Customer from Chicago, IL
Overall great value. However, the operations of this phone are NOT intuitive. You need to read the manual and use the system several times to learn how to do a lot of the common things you might want. It can do them all, you just need to look up how to do them. Was this review helpful?
