For the after rebate price, it's tough to beat the value. Not quite as easy to use as an Ipod, and make sure you update the firmware, but again, for the money it's great. It's been cranky as far as synching with the PC, and in order to see the video you have to run all videos through the conversion process, but again for the money, it's great. Ordered a second one to leave in the car.

Excellent quality for a very low price. I love the sound quality and the ability to browse by file rather than only by ID3 tag. Battery life is fantastic and the fact that the device comes with a screen protector is wonderful. Every electronic device with a screen should come with a factory applied screen protector, it can't cost them more than a cent and it is very convenient. My only complaints would be that the 3D audio boost function drowns out the singer in most songs, although it makes the instruments sound fantastic. Also the controls are a bit goofy and unintuitive, but they are not horrible.

ENCLOSED SOFTWARE IS NO GOOD. VERY EASY TO USE. CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE AFTER THE REBATE. WONDERFUL BATTERY LIFE.

I have the 4GB version of this player and think it has tremendous value for the money. The control interface is a little touchy and lack of memory expansion are my only complaints. For John in Lake: I too wanted this player for audio books from the library. At first I thought it would not work but then I found out you need to change the USB mode on the device. First go to 'Settings' on the Main Menu. Scroll down to 'USB mode' and change it from 'MSC' (Mass Storage Compatible) to 'MTP' (Media Transfer Protocol). You can then use Overdive to load the library audio books or any other protected content.

I was a bit adamant about buying this player at first. After reading some good reviews on it, I decided to buy it. I've had it for about a month now & love the player I have. It takes about 10 seconds or less to turn on. If you update the music library it takes about 20 seconds & that's actually fast considering how many songs I put in the device. Turning it off takes 3 seconds by holding down the ON/OFF button & it turns off fast. Adding and dropping files onto the player is quick. I often use the ebook (text files only) feature outdoors and indoors. Although, I use it outdoors the screen isn't reflective enough that it makes it hard to read (you can also change the font size & how many lines you want to move down per click or use the automatic scroll feature. The device also came with its own screen protector & it isn't the cheap kind that just peels off. There's 2 things I dislike about the player. Unlike when fastforwarding on video clips, the fastforward on music gives off a static sound for music. Secondly, it has so many features & settings that it totally kills the iPod when considering value ($). Not that I don't like iPods, I have the iPod skin on my Meizu player just for kicks. One last comment. The "Karaoke mode" or the lyric files (.lrc) works wonderfully. The lyric files I make are on point with the music. If you don't want the lyric file ON just delete it. Problem solved.

this is my first mp3 player. i love it so far. and the price was right. and with the rebate it was a better price. my girlfriend wanted one to so i order one for her. i recieved the both of them in no time at all. overall i love it.

Better if you upgrade the firmware. Sound is very good. Battery life good. The included software is not so good. Use open source irverter set to device option U10, to convert videos instead of included software.

Pros, good response time and easy enough interface. Quite a lot like an iPod actually. Screen is bright and clear, sound is good and the size of the player is good, small and thin. I also like that it is recognized as soon as its plugged in so that you can transfer files right away. Cons, Does not support WMA DRM files. That was a sad discovery, I really wanted to use it to put books from the library on, but alas I will not be able to. Recommend updating with the firmware update when you get it to make the menu's and things a little better.

Great little device, at a great price - no complaints at all. Excellent video. Bought one for a gift, then had to get one for myself. Earbuds are forgettable, but then I use my v-moda's with everything anyway. Comes with great user's guide.

I bought this MP4 as a gift for my father 20 days ago. The price is good with many functions: mp3, video, pictures, FM radio, radio recording and voice recording. I like the drag and drop file transfer, but you need to rebuild the music library to show the new transfer music files. You do not need rebuild for new transferred video files. The touch pad is difficult for the old people to use because it jumps up and down in the menu. The screen is small for watch video. I perfect at least 3" screen for watch movies.

This player does not play MP4, buy.com mis advertised. Other than that, it is great, the sound is great, you can change the wall paper. Battery life is good. It is small, very intuitive user interface. Overall a great product.

This is a great device! I couldn't believe the price either. I ended up buying 5 of them to give away as gifts. It gets great reviews on CNET from editors and users. It feels durable and is fairly intuitive to use. It is helpful to read the manual though. I love the drag and drop file transfering and the clean, clear sound quality. It is very compact and packed with features. It does mp3, video, pictures, FM radio, radio recording and voice recording. Battery life is exceptional. All in all, amazing!

Great sound, EQ, wonderful video clarity ,...in short beautiful MP3 player to have with ...Forget about IPOD ,,,go for Meizu...read technical reviews, watch youtube for actual demonstration. Only thing which can be concern for some is touchpad is oversensitive..other than that it works great ... battery life is great ,,,,it can be charged with mobile charger with same jack..,, Thanks to Meizu and Buy.com

I am amazed by this "made in China" player. Price is so low but quality is excellent. It has so many functionalities, such as video, photo, radio, etc. I have several iPods, but I feel this Meizu player is way better than iPod shuffle and close to iPod nano.

well i had the 4gb version. sound on this meizu is the best i have ever heard. better than ipod i have had this player for 2+yrs and still working lol Very easy to download mp3 just drag and drop. no s/w needed. Best sound EVER. Bassers rejoice. i used skullcandies ink, and i tell you you will never need to buy boses. skullcandies do the job perfect. battery life is good for like a year it will do 2days with out charging of like 8hr of music playback a day. a plus to is that it comes with a screen protector al ready installed and you dont need to buy one. it comes for the front and back. the back is metal too. so a very durable player.

Screen is great, sound is great, functions are great. Headphones are worthless, as usual. The only issue is turning off the Karaoke mode once it is accidentally turned on, which is apparently easy to do. I did it once and my daughter did it once in the first week.
