It is simply the best case available for the 80gig Zune. Classy leather, nice fabric linning and a little Zune logo stamped into the "book" cover. Easy unit removal without being loose.It does add some bulk but 80 is no nano. Was this review helpful?

It’s a real nice case. The front has a magnet in it so it stays closed and makes a nice click when it closes. The only flaw is that the charger/USB port is inside the case and there is no access slot. Every time you charge/add stuff you have to take it out of the case. This is not THAT much of a hassle, but it needs to be mentioned. Other than that, it’s a real nice case. Was this review helpful?

I purchased an 80 GB zune in early December. After discovering Circuit City and Best Buy sold this case for $50+ I decided to look online. Buy.com had the best price (by approximately $30).
Pros:
Case fit 80Gb Zune perfectly, Nice "play" and "back" buttons, Magnetic cover protects Zune well.
Cons:
(I've read this one - Can't charge while in case. From a capitalist's point of view this is a perfect design - almost requires one to purchase the docking station (which Buy.com has at a reasonable price). I'm not too fond of the pink fabric on the inside of the case and there isn't a plastic cover for the screen.
However, the pink fabric can be removed (if you don't like it) and if there were a plastic cover it would probably look like crap.
All in all, I think the case is perfect. The leather is a nice color, quality and texture. It protects my Zune well. Was this review helpful?

The case is nice high-quality leather with a magnetic cover which comes in handy. Headphone port is large enough to fit some of the largest headphone plugs. I'd prefer a cutout for the sync port, but they had to include a unnecessary cutout for the lock switch. Without this cutout, you can't use their accessories such as the car kit. Yanking the Zune out of the case eliminates any protection I get from the case, and in the car this isn't a very good idea. I bought the case knowing this, so I won't base my rating on it. Other than that, its an excellent case, giving you near full-functionality for all the features of the Zune. Was this review helpful?

Why criticize it, but for some reason there are simply no black cases anyplace on the net or at stores in black. Zune.net's supplier does not even have any in stock. Microsoft needs to get their poop together as people will put up with this for only a short time. I went and got a brown case as a last resort as I did not want to take it out without some sort of case.
Brown is such as bad color as they could not sell the zune 30 gig in brown - so why make a case in brown? People need black or other colors to choose from, Was this review helpful?

This is a great case to protect your zune. The lining is soft and the zune slides in easily. The magnetic close is a great feature, the only complaint is that is doens't have a slot for the sync cable. This isn't a major deal for me since, I will charge it on my a/v dock and sync wirelessly. it looks nice, deep brown leather with a magnetic closure. no protection for the screen when it's open.scroll wheel and buttons are easy to use with the case, as are headphones and accessing the hold button. the biggest downside for me is that there's no opening for the usb port so whenever i use my car adapter, the zune is totally unprotected. pretty dumb on the part of whoever made it.
