5 of 5 Great Portable Recorder with good Sound Quality Friday, May 01, 2009 A Customer from Springfield, VA
I use this unit to record my clarinet practice sessions/lessons. Sound quality is perfect for this application. Quick and easy to use, allows quick review and playback. Was even able to multi-track a duet in Audacity.
Great little unit at a great price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Wednesday, April 01, 2009 Dan McLaughlin from St. Joseph, Missouri
Does the primary mission (digital recording, by mic or line-in) well, plus has lots of great extras we like, such as a tuner and metronome, onboard WAV to MP3 conversion. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Quality Recorder Monday, March 02, 2009 Bob from Saratoga NY
I bought the Zoom H2 a few weeks ago and have used it a few times so far. The quality of sound is fantastic, I am not a musician nor a person who is an expert in sound recording but the H2 is pretty easy to use.
Before I purchased the H2 I would rely on other students in class to give me copies of the recorded lectures, now I have my own recorder and the quality of the H2 is far superior to all the other recordings I have heard. Because it has the ability to record using all four mics, I can actually hear the questions being asked of the teacher!
I purchased a 16 gig SD card which is a must if you record a lot and are not near a computer to dump the files.
The only con I have noticed so far is that flash card cover is a bit touchy and if you are not paying attention you could easily snap it off. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Nice Prodcut Saturday, January 17, 2009 A Customer from Midwest
I use this for band rehersals and self recording vocals with acustice. The sound quality is amazing! The only issue I've had is the memory cover broke after a week. This does not effect the quality and the SD memory still locks in. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very impressive gadget Saturday, December 13, 2008 Joe from Milford, PA
Although, some side switches look like they will fall off in a few months of use, Zoom H2 works and sounds, so far, like a real pro-equipment. Hard to imagine more convenient size, options etc.
I use it for live classical recording in which 4 built-in mics are very valuable. This "machine" exceeds all expectations. Tough luck for other brands...

5 of 5 Amazing value and quality of sound Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Doug from Minden, Nevada
I bought the similar Roland at twice the price and sent it back because the built-in mic sound was tin-cannish. Then I tried this Zoom and all I can say is that they have built a superb rcorder. Other than the tiny display which requires reading glasses or a magnifying glass, this is one amazing product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Wish list would have been a 1/4 inch external mic jack instead of the mini but otherwise, completely satisfied. Picks up ukulele well too! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Close to perfect Monday, September 08, 2008 marty from warwick, ny
I highly recommend this digital recorder.
It works like a charm once you figure it out and get used to it.
The Zoom H2 would benefit if the Menus were a wee bit more intuitive.
And if the H2 came with software that could let you set up and change the H2 settings from your computer, it would be near perfect. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Superb!!!! Monday, August 25, 2008 A Customer from The Woodlands, TX
This is the best portable recording device I've ever used. The microphone is incredibly sensitive! Worth every penny...A MUST BUY! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good entry-level all-in-one recorder. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 jeremiahbritt from Waldorf, MD
Recording quality is fairly good, the utility of being able to plug it into a computer or plop it down on a table is great, and the little extras (wind screen, headphones) really make this a great present for a podcaster, high school/garage band or anyone who wants to make great recordings on a budget.
