5 of 5 Anime Classic Monday, September 15, 2008
A Viewer from San Francisco, CA

The Japanese animation studio, Sunrise, has always been known for their mecha anime and Zeta Gundam is one of their certified classics. Directed by legendary director, Yoshiyuki Tomino, this is the series that solidified Gundam as a franchise in Japan. You might have to watch the original Gundam series (which is available as a TV series or a movie trilogy) in order to get more of a backstory. Zeta Gundam is a highly influential mecha anime series, and its hand drawn artwork has aged very well. The fight scenes are animated and choreographed extremely well. Overall Zeta Gundam is a masterpiece and highly recommended!
