This is volume four of a sumptuously illustrated shojo manga concerning Kimihiro Watanuki, a high school student and reluctant witch's housekeeper who has the ability to see the spirit world. In this installment, Watanuki observes and experiences different (and occasionally dangerous) varieties of love and friendship as he celebrates Valentine's Day (in Japan, primarily a women's holiday in which they send dark or milk chocolate to men to indicate their affection), White Day (a Japanese holiday in which men respond to Valentine's Day's overtures by sending gifts of white chocolate to women), and his own birthday. As in previous volumes, the book reproduces the original Japanese right-to-left reading orientation, and contains a full-color frontispiece as well as a short section of translation notes.
