| | | Accuracy has always been a highly sought feature in mice by every gamer. The new XG Laser 2500 mouse now will give the gamer just that. With an accuracy level of up to 2500 DPI, the Laser 2500 mouse is perfect for first person shooter games and many others that require a steady hand and split second reactions. Although, XG realized that the DPI is not always best at the maximum DPI level. In order to overcome this problem, the Laser 2500 mouse now has an integrated 6 DPI switch button allowing the user to alter between 600, 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, and 2500 DPI. With the XG Laser 2500 mouse, gamers now have the XG advantage in every game they play.

5 of 5 Great gaming mouse Saturday, March 01, 2008 Jason from Bel Air, MD
This was a good deal for the cost and performance. Most of the mouse buttons are in good locations, but the third button on the left side of the mouse might be a bit of a stretch for those with smaller hands.
The mouse has a very light weight cable, so it almost felt like I was using a wireless mouse. The DPI switching was excellent and there is a very noticeable increase in performance while playing such games as BF2 and Call of Duty 4.
This is an excellent buy for the performance that you will get. I feel it is a much better deal than the bigger name brands Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Value for the Money Monday, March 26, 2007 A Customer from Dayton, Ohio
Changing dpi on the fly is really helpful when using a sniper weapon. The added sensitivity really helps. Mouse feels good. Buttons seem to be strong and sturdy. Cord is a little flimsy, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I recommend this mouse for the FPS gamer! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Cheap accurate mouse Thursday, March 22, 2007 A Customer from winston-salem, NC
First of all, this mouse was cheap: 5 dollars after rebate! Of course, if it were a POS, cheap price would not matter much. However, I have found this mouse to be smoother and more accurate than my MX 510 while gaming. The DPI change system is also very nice and easy to access. Easy to set up, no problems with drivers. 5 of 5 Overall a decent mouse Thursday, March 22, 2007 Peter DeVore from Berkeley, CA
<font color=#0000FF>Highlights of this mouse:</font><br>
1. It works (<font color=#008F00><b>+</font></b>)<br>
2. You can <b>change the sensitivity</b> by <b>clicking a button on the mouse</b>.(<font color=#008F00><b>+</font></b>)<br>
3. To get to a specific sensitivity, you need to press a single button to cycle through six different levels, only in one direction (from lowest increasing to highest, then straight down to lowest). <b>It would be much nicer if you had two different buttons, one to increases the sensitivity, the other to decrease.</b> (<font color=#008F00><b>--</font></b>)<br>
4. You can <b>program all the buttons to do keystrokes besides the main button</b> by installing their software from a provided CD. (<font color=#008F00><b>+</font></b>)<br>
5. It's HID compliant (i.e. plug and play) for use on computers where you don't care to install their drivers. (<font color=#008F00><b>+</font></b>)<br>
6. It only <b>cost me 7 bucks</b> after rebate. (<font color=#008F00><b>+</font></b>)<br> Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Try it for a week and you can't be without it! Thursday, March 22, 2007 A Customer from Mpls, MN
Awesome product! Very responsive, easy to use, good value. After having it for a week, we couldn't be without it---especially for gaming.
You get so used to it that when you go on another computer for any reason, you expect the same performance from that mouse and realize how sluggish everything else is in comparison. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Cant beat for the price Tuesday, March 20, 2007 Randy from Lennon, MI
This mouse is good. The middle button lights up to let you know what speed you have it set at. For the price it's well worth having a laser mouse instead of the classic ball that gets dirty and bogs down. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Mouse! Tuesday, March 20, 2007 Jon from St Petersburg, FL
I like pretty much everything about this mouse: the size, the shape, the variable speeds, the quality of the teflon feet...even the fact they used a pliable and slender cord so that it doesn't slow down the movement of the mouse (ever used a Microsoft mouse with a fat stiff cord? You can barely move the mouse). I'm going to buy two more of these for my other computers. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great mouse for the price Monday, March 12, 2007 A Customer from Gilbert, Arizona
This is a great mouse for the price.
Pros: Easy to change resolution on the fly; Easy to tell which resolution you are in; Small diameter cord is easy to hide; and Very accurate controls. Cons: Click is pretty loud (that is why I gave it a 4 for performance). It is not obnoxious, I just wish it were quieter. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great mouse for value Sunday, March 11, 2007 A Customer from St. Louis, MO
I got this mouse a couple months ago and I still use it for my gaming PC. The feel is great. It's fairly shallow so I had to get use to is because I had a logitech before which is much more of a full hand mouse. The mouse works fantastic and I love the great tracking of the mouse. The locations of the side buttons is great the only complaint I have is that the side buttons on the mouse are fairly cheaply built. I use these buttons for my "key up" voice buttons in game and they occationally get stuck on. This is the only small minor problem with it. It doesn't happen that often but it does happen. The look, feel, and play of this mouse is worth way more than you pay. I'm going to buy another so I have 2. Was this review helpful?

This is my first laser mouse, and right out of the box I could tell the difference in tracking accuracy. Of course, the idea behind this mouse is gaming, and in game you can immediately tell a difference in accuracy. The other touted benefit is the ability to use a button to switch the mouse's sensitivity on the fly in-game. With six steps the mouse goes from 600 DPI up to 2500 DPI. On the highest setting your ability to turn and engage an opponent is amazingly quick, but does require a more steady hand. This is especially nice when in turret fired vehicles.
Other than that, the mouse performs as expected. Nice feel in hand, with a couple of extra programmable buttons. Thus far, I have not used the included software. The only thing it lacks is a tilt wheel, or possibly more buttons, but for the price point, it can't be beat. Lastly, although this is sold as either a left or right handed mouse, it is obviously designed for right-handers. Buy.com was quick and great...as always! Was this review helpful?
