5 of 5 Unbeatable price Wednesday, April 30, 2008
RoadhouseRadio from Browns Mills, NJ

Free is a great price. Got this for my grandson. He loves it. A little heavy. Doesn't use it for all his games yet. Setup was nothing on his PS2. Have not received my rebate yet, although it's only been 3 weeks. Delivered in just 2 or 3 days.

5 of 5 Terrific game pad for under $5 w/ rebate Monday, April 28, 2008
Christopher S. from Springfield
This game pad is great on either the PC or PS2. It's plug & play for the PS2, but you will have to locate drivers for the PC because they don't come with it. I don't know why people are griping for though because I located them in TEN SECONDS flat using google by typing in "XFX XGear PC/PS2 Wireless Gamepad" or you can just get them from the XfX support site here: ftp://xfxsupport.com/public/driver/1.0_XP_9x_xgear.zip The D pad feels a tad mushy, but once you get used to the additional movement distance, it's fine. Another bonus is that it uses Immersion's proprietary vibration feedback which is awesome. There is an off switch in the back to prevent power drainage from sleep mode. Just don't forget it's there. Overall, I'd give these pads an A. Drivers on disk would have been nice, but they're always outdated ANYWAY. Any person should know to downloaded latest drivers from websites any way. Driver disks are a waste to space, money, and the ecology. For anybody with either PC or PS2, they will likely like this controller. If you have BOTH, it's a no-brainer for under $5!

1 of 5 Not Working Monday, February 18, 2008
A Gamer from Latham, NY
Recently I bought this item from buy.com. This item is not working for me. I spent a lot of time but there is no luck. One more disadvange is there is no drivers CD in the box. It seeems to me Manual(which came in the manufacturer box) also doesn't have much instructions for the installation.

4 of 5 XFX XGear PC/PS2 Wireless Gamepad Saturday, February 02, 2008
A Gamer from Fishers, IN
I bought this gamepad for my 7 yr. old son. He loves it and says it is his favorite one. It's great to have the vibration function in a wireless controller. It's a little larger than other gamepads but doesn't seem to give him any problems. It's a great gamepad.

5 of 5 Nice controller for the $... Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Frank from Plainville, CT
FREE after rebate is nice, my son needed a conroller for the PC version of Resident Evil 4. This will work in Vista, as we are using it now. You have to right-click on "setup.exe", click on the "compatibility" tab, and make it "run it in compatibility mode" for "Windows XP SP2". The install froze on me the first time, but completed on the second try. The controller is VERY heavy compared to a standard PS2 controller, but has a nice feel from the rubber grips. Overall, a nice product from XFX. I wouldn't expect any future support from XFX, since the controller was released in 2004. Thanks go to the poster who included the FTP site for the driver.

4 of 5 not bad Thursday, January 10, 2008
Rob from Hoffman Estates, IL
For a 10 dollar controller, I was a little weary. So far, it works great for my PS2. The PC use is alright. Finding the driver was a bit of a test but I finally found it. Battery life seems pretty good and the range is great. I've had much worse wireless controller for 3 times as much money. This one is not bad!

5 of 5 great gamepad Thursday, January 10, 2008
A Gamer from vancouver, wa
pro- great feel. easy setup. great wireless performance. con- documentation is weak and the buttons aren't entirely compatible w/ my madden07 pc dvd instructions, which caused me to have to figure out which buttons were which. overall, i really enjoy the wireless gamepad and think that most people would be very happy with it.

1 of 5 broke in a week Wednesday, December 26, 2007
beef from Syracuse, NY
The 4-way direction pad broke after a week of super mario bros. I can still use the joystick-like direction controller, but overall I'm disappointed. It's too bad, because the unit is quite hefty and feels "grippy" as opposed to plasticky. Wireless range is good. One minor gripe is that it's too easy to accidentally press the "macro" button while playing. This causes the controller to stop responding until you push it again.

5 of 5 Very Nice Controller Friday, December 21, 2007
A Gamer from Williamsburg, VA
This wireless controller works great, very responsive and no lag or connection problems. The vibration feature is more true than any other controller I've had has well. What will be the true test is in one year whether it craps out or not like all of my other wireless controllers have done, but for only 10 dollars who cares. My only other comment would be that this controller is kind of large so if you have small hands or if it's for a kid then it might not be that great. I love it because most controllers are too small causing my hands to get a cramp after all night gaming. Overall great controller. Also, the light up buttons that are supposedly a function are in fact non-existent.

3 of 5 With the rebate, it's worth buying Thursday, December 20, 2007
Stv from Philly, PA
It's an ok controller but a great price for wireless. It's a bit bulky and with the AA's it does get heavy. Response is decent for both PC and PS2. The battery life is ok. I use the Duracell 15-minute rechargables which works well. It does include a PS2-to-USB adapter which you can use for your wired PS2 controllers on your PC. Lastly, it's wide. My son struggles using the analog sticks...then again, he's only 6.

5 of 5 great controller but.. Tuesday, December 11, 2007
rnR l3o9u5 from brooklyn, ny
fully functional on ps2 and pc. for pc it's simply plug and play. no install required. does not interfeer with other wireless frequencies. my only complaint is that it runs on 4AA batteries. which makes it heavy. and cost of battereis could add up if you set rumble on.

4 of 5 Nice controller, incomplete package Tuesday, December 11, 2007
J Reed from Yucaipa, CA
Box did not contain necessary software or useable instructions (batteries were included, though). Their web site would not accept Serial# or Model/Part# so could not register or get software, which included the instructions, without tech support help. The software package made me install the whole Chinese character set to read the instructions in English. Software is for XP, not Vista - they said to use the Vista drivers .. but the instructions were in the XP software file, so I don't know what you'd do about that. I'm only a light gamer, but the controller has a nice, comfortable, solid feel and works just fine. In spite of the setup peculiarities, it was definitely a good buy.

4 of 5 Nice controller for the price Monday, December 10, 2007
John A. from Long Island, NY
When I received this controller, I was suprised at how solid and heavy it felt. Typically, cheaply made electronics are very lightweight due to the use of thin plastic and inferior components. The wireless aspect of the product works great. There is no delay or non-response when using the controller for gameplay. I've only used it about 10 or 12 feet from the receiver but it seems to work fine at that distance. My only complaint is that the R2 button apparently does not work. There is only one PS2 game that I have the uses that button so I have to use another controller to play that game. As for the recharging station for the controller, yes, it was mentioned on this web site that there was a recharging station. However, by reading the section that indicates the "included accessories" it was obvious that the charging station was not going to be included. For $30 with a mail-in $20 rebate, this is a really good deal (even without the recharging station).

2 of 5 Overall - not happy Monday, December 03, 2007
A Gamer from Houston, TX
The box does not contain software CD. Download it from ... ftp://xfxsupport.com/public/driver/1.0_XP_9x_xgear.zip Surprisingly the manual in the box does not even mention any such software. But this software is required to configure the controller. Even after you install software on Win XP using admin type user, a non admin type user can not use this software later to play games. Software is not available for Vista. Other than this the hardware is of good quality.

1 of 5 Not as advertised Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Philip from Florida
I purchased this gamepad and to my surprise theres no Charging Station clearly stated in the product summary and also stated on xfx's website. So you're stuck having to charge or replace your own batteries. NOT COOL! Also there is no driver/software cd NOR does the xfx website have any software or drivers compatible with it. For this price im lucky it didnt explode in my hands.
