5 of 5 The Last PC Gamepad You'll Ever Need. Saturday, April 07, 2007 Muhammad from Chicago, IL
I bought this specifically to play PC games that are more console like, and let me tell you, this is the perfect gamepad. If you're using any other gamepad for the PC then you're doing yourself disservice. -- Just keep in mind that if you're buying this wireless version of the Xbox 360 Gamepad and you want to use it on the PC you'll need to have the "Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows," which Buy.com also sells.
No complaints; great design, and great experience with the device.

5 of 5 Works Like A Charm! Saturday, April 07, 2007 Muhammad from Chicago, IL
Does just what it's supposed to do. Plug it in and then install the software that comes on the CD. Just make sure to restart to your PC after the software installation so that everything is recognized recognized properly.
No complaints at all. More than worth its low price. - If you're considering buying it, then consider no more, just get it!
Buy.com got this to me extremely quick as well. So Kudos to them on the shipping. Was this review helpful?

Don't get me wrong, this is a great idea.
I got this a few weeks ago, unpacked it, followed the simple 6 instructions and within a few minutes was gaming with it. BRILLIANT!
If they asked me to write this a few weeks ago, this would have received a 5.
However, after installing this in my BRAND NEW computer, it would simply refuse to work. It installed correctly, was recognized, but the controller and receiver would NOT sync with each other. In order to sync i had to try it while the computer was restarting, with everything USB unplugged. HUGE PAIN IN THE NECK.
Be cautious, this will NOT work for everyone, but is great if it does. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works great with Skype Wednesday, February 28, 2007 vypergts from Manassas, VA
Hooked right up and paired with my wireless headset easy enough. Was able to talk to my bro in Hong Kong (from the states) with it. Sound quality was good, I would even say better than when using with XBL.
Haven't tried the controller with it yet (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great device for PC gaming, headsets might not sou Wednesday, February 14, 2007 Justin from Olathe KS
The wireless receiver works great with the two windows xp (pro/mce2005) systems I tested it on. I was thrilled to use the 360 wireless controllers for PC games, I really like the ergonomics, in fact I don't even own a 360 console and bought the controller exclusively for my PC. It required the drivers on the included CD, but install was a snap. It felt responsive although I didn't try a fps where lag may be more noticeable. I was excited that my cell phone's 3.5mm headset worked with it. Once I plugged it in to the wireless controller an xp popup came on screen saying a new usb audio device was found. The sound quality wasn't that great, but this was on a computer that only had USB 1.1, not sure if 2.0 would have made a difference. It may have been the old game I was playing or the headset I was using, but I only got mono in my right ear.
Very happy with the purchase Was this review helpful?
