It works like any other controller. It uses batteries and they need to be replaced every 3 weeks with constant halo use. The color black is cool the white ones always looked scuffed up from dirt or being dropped (or thrown when I don't bring my A game to the halo arena) Was this review helpful?

I have a tendency to break/smash/shatter/destroy controllers quite often (rather than hitting other things like my g/f or friends, my dog or breaking my own fist by hitting a wall). So I am constantly looking for good deals on controllers since I need to buy them so often. Buy.com ran a sale the other week for $32 shipped. This has been the cheapest I've found a controller yet. Good job Buy.com... I just wish you'd remove all of the horribly annoying ads and BS "money back" offers from your website. Besides this deal I try my very, very absolute hardest to avoid Buy.com like it's the black plague b/c the website is such an ad-filled mess. Excellent condition in factory packaging for $15 less that any stores "sale price". The black color allow for "hiding" it away on the lower shelf of the bookcase so my kids don't use mine. I have the one that came with my system and one I ordered seperately. Both fit nicely and work perfectly. I purchased a recharge kit for mine so I didn't go through the AA batteries like candy. I wish they would come with the rechargable battery. That way, both could have the rechargeable battery, and you could use one charger kit between both of them. Purchased black, pink, and wireless receiver for the pc. They both work well. I think they feel a little weird, but I come from a psx background. The computer uses the left joystick and right buttons by default (as opposed to the left directional pad). I've been pleased with them, thus-far, though.

You really can't complain about the Microsoft 360 controller. It has a nice, comfortable feel; it has great reception for wireless play; and the shoulder buttons are absolutely superior to the PS2 controller's!
The black finish looks very nice, adding a more sophisticated look to your 360. Black always looks nice, in any entertainment set-up!
