Had no problems with this pre-paid card. Previous iterations had a scratch off back which was terrible. Similar to a scratch-off lottery ticket, you'd end up scratching off the code right along with the material covering it.
This card seems much better, as it has a pull tab hiding the code. Had no problems with it. Would recommend to others. Was this review helpful?

Xbox LIVE is a nice service, but the Xbox 360 is not a stable hardware system. As much as I love my Xbox 360 and the games and online play it supports, I have experienced 3 general hardware failures over the course of 15 months of owning the device. With Microsoft taking about 30 days door-to-door to repair a failure, that means my Xbox 360 has been non-functional or in for repairs 20% of the total time I've had it.
LIVE is a wonderful service providing online gaming on quality servers with little if any issues, but the Xbox itself is of questionable quality, so that carries over because it really doesn't matter how good LIVE is if you can't use it because your Xbox console isn't working. Honestly, theres not much to say, because I'm sure that you have heard of xbox live before and know all about it. If you dont have a 360, get one. Then, when you get it, make sure to get xbox live. 40 bucks might seem like a lot at first, but if you think about it, youre only paying about 3 bucks a month for online play, and its the best, by far, online system out there. I ordered this on here due to the unbelievable price. 13 months for only $42.99!!!! Anyways, I was patient and waited the 1 1/2 weeks for it to arrive, when all that showed up was a "normal" 12 month live card!!! I read the entire item over and it did no show a thing related to a 13month subscription..... :-( After writing to Buy.com, they wanted me to send it back. I "Maned Up" and opened it to redeem it when the screen showed up a 13 month subscription!!! Buy.com did their part, dont worry too much if it shows up and it isn't the right one, but you will only know for sure by opening it. Was this review helpful?

There's not much you can review with these Xbox Live subscription cards. Just know that Buy.com sells them the cheapest with fast (most of the time free) shipping. since we have to, it only makes sense to get the access cards as cheap as you can. this is not a game but gives you access to xbox live. which in IMHO should be free but microsoft makes you pay 50 bucks a years for the right to play other people online, something that PC users have been doing for FREE for years. Because of this I try to get the live access cards like this for as cheap as possible. I got this for 37 bucks with free shipping which amounts to a little more than 3 bucks a month which is little more palatable than the 50 bucks these usually go for. Was this review helpful?
