The rechargeable battery lasted less than two months. The controller itself is great. Feels better than the original white and the next gen black controllers. I personally bought it for the color.

Shipping was amazing! Appeared the next day even though I paid for regular shipping! Good controller. However, the plug of this plug and play does not work. Shows on (green light) when it gets plugged in but then goes off and doesn't charge the controller at all (and yes I had the console on).

If youre bored with the white/ivory colors that most Xbox 360 units ship with, give this one a try. The red & black are a really cool combo, and the play & charge unit is a nice addition. I actually charged this puppy with my PC, and after 3 weeks of constant use its still only down by 1 tick. Beats the heck out of replacing the AAs all the time!

My favorite hockey team's colors are red and black. since the Elite came with a black controller it was a no brainer to get a red one. It works great!

I've never had a problem with the controllers and the play n' charge kit is an underestimated value. You'll save so much money not buying replacement batteries and the battery that comes with it can be used on your other wireless controllers (though, the color probably won't match).

I love this controller and actually really like the play and charge kit it came with. I have seen some bad reviews concerning the play and charge kit not working right, but mine works perfectly. No need for batteries which is nice. Plus you can't beat the price. I paid $41.99.

40 bucks for a red color play and charge OEM controller. Nothing more to say other than awesome deal! I use this as my primary controller and bought it at the same time as I did my Pro system... so the included white controller is still untouched !

Lighter compared to my launch day controller. Feels better in my hands. it is also smaller than the original wireless controller. Used free shipping and received it in 5 days via Fedex. Great purchase. I was skeptical because early review said the thumbsticks or d Pad was bad but this one is awesome. It plays great on Skate 2. Overall great Purchase. Its a steal at 24.99, if you sign up for the buy.com credit card.

This controller beats the one that came with my 360. The dpad works way better. On my old controller, I have to press down on the dpad with a bit more force in order for it to work (it's been like that ever since I opened it). With this new red one, the dpad works perfectly. All the other buttons/joysticks/shoulder buttons & triggers have a nicer feel as well. The color of it reminds me of a red velvet cake. You can't go wrong with this controller.

My husband loves his new controller. It's mostly red and black with the exception of the buttons. It looks way cooler than the white one! Excellent price too.

i just picked this up for a great price. red is my favorite color so it was a must have and i would recommend this to anyone who needs an extra remote and wants to be different than the others.

I was a little wary buying this over the internet, because the first charge+play kit I bought (from best buy) had a bad battery pack, but this one works great. I thought the controller would be red and grey from the picture, but I was pleasantly surprised that it is actually red and black. It looks really cool if you switch the red battery with a black one.

Well, my son loves it and now doesn't have to worry about batteries because it comes w/ a rechargable pack. It's the best color out there, but would rather have a Halo controller, since they look cooler. Hope they come out w/ a Gears of War themed controller, that would be an instant buy!

My son finally let me know what he wanted for Christmas on December 6, 2008. I searched the internet and Buy.com had the best price on the Red Xbox 360 wireless controller. It also comes with a rechargable battery. It was $15 cheaper than Walmart, Amazon, and GameStop. I also received a $2.99 shipping offer and was worried that I would not receive this in time for Christmas. I placed the order on the night of December 6, 2008 and received it on the morning of December 10, 2008! I will definitely use Buy.com again!! He says the controller is great (red is his favorite color) and no complaints, it works fine. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

Wow... just order it! The price is right and so is the ergonomic feel. Microsoft may have RROD problems, but no so with their controllers. I'm glad MS learned from the original Xbox controllers and chose a design very similar to the Controller S (JDM). I have a PS2 and PS3 and I maintain my hate for ergos of the Playstation controllers. Go MS!

When my son asked for this for Christmas, I told him that he would have to use any gift cards he got for the holidays. But when I found it for $15 less than even WalMart and then added the $30 Visa rebate, I couldn't refuse. I will check Buy.com for all my electronic needs in the future.

It looks great. All the buttons work. Unfortunately, the controller doesn't charge the battery like it should. I used a different controller with the same cable and red battery, and it would charge the battery. Switch back to the red controller, could not charge still. I contacted buy.com but have yet receive a respond. Since this happened after the 14 days return period, I guess I'm stuck with a functional red controller that doesn't charge. Be advise to deplete your battery right away and test the controller, or else you will be in my situation.

I purchased this item from Wal-Mart for $70, including tax. When i saw the same red one here for only $49.99 i bought it again and returned the new one back to Wal-Mart. The red color is much more appealing than the grey remote. Plus the included play and charge kit is great. I just plug it in to my pc's usb port to charge so i dont have to keep my 360 on. Good buy, outstanding price. Oh ya, the rechargable battery makes the control feel much better since it add some weight compared to AA's. One of the only reasons i don't like the new ps3 remotes is cause they are so light.

Shipped the controller in a padded envelope !! DUH !! showed up with a broken package. No time to return it, so I had to give the gift in a broken (more like smashed) package. Very, Very poor quality control that lets this happen.
